On Monday, Piers Morgan invited magician Criss Angel into his New York studio, asking the world famous illusionist if there exists an escape plan that can answer the government shutdown.
Seated across from the host, Angel expressed sadness over the current state of politics and the overall lack of bipartisan give-and-take:
"I deal with the subject of impossibility. And for me, it's always trying to find a solution, right," Angel stated. "And I just don't understand how we have, you know, grownups that are supposed to be running our country, not being able to find the solution...I don't know why there's no compromise. Why we're in this situation to begin with? It's just - it's a sad state for us."
At the end of the program, Angel rejoined Morgan, accessorizing his designer suit with an institution style straightjacket.
"This is probably every Second Amendment fan's absolute dream," Morgan noted, with the entirety of his upper torso restrained and contained. "Alright. I have been shutdown by Criss Angel."
Later this week Angel will perform an amazing stunt in Times Square. His new show "BeLIEve" on Spike TV premieres Tuesday, October 15.
