Hello Loyal! Welcome to my profile! My name is Jenn and I am a 17 year old singer and ultimate Loyal fan of Criss Angel. I'm also a huge fan of Michael Jackson.

Criss Angel has inspired me very much in my life. I became a fan of him in 2005 during season 1 of MINDFREAK and ever since then he has inspired me to go for my dream on becoming a Pop singer. I used to think that becoming a singer was impossible. I used to watch MTV and watch all of the musicians and artists dance and sing, especially Michael Jackson, and wondered how awesome is would be to be like them doing what they love to do. Now, thanks to Criss, I am working very hard to achieve my dream because Criss taught me that anything is possible and that dreams to come true with hard work and dedication.

It was always my dream to meet Criss. I only wanted to meet him to say thank you for inspiring me to go for my dreams and my goals. Fortunately, on July 30, 2009, my dream came true. I won a contest to meet Criss privately after BeLIEve and it was honestly one of the best days of my life. To win the contest, I had to refer 50 people for a paying membership on the old CrissAngel.com and it was honestly one of the hardest things I ever had to do to meet the person who inspires me most outside of my family. So, I went door to door asking my neighbours, my family, and my friends to sign up for CrissAngel.com, I even sang for some people on the street to get them to sign up and I told them how much it would truly mean to me if I won that contest. Before I knew it, I had 50 generous people sign up for a paying membership on Criss Angel's fan club! I was SO excited! Along with the private meet and greet, the prize was a phone call from Criss to set-up a date for the meet and greet, two free tickets to BeLIEve, and Mindfreak merchandise. When Criss called me on my iPhone, I was walking home from McDonald's with my best friend. All of a sudden we heard my ringtone go off "I AM A MINDFREAK! THERE'S NO REALITY!". My friend and I jumped and she shouted "Haha, wouldn't it be funny if it was him?" Then all of a sudden I answered it and it was Criss Angel's assistant! Criss shortly came on the line and we set up the date for July 30's meet and greet.

When the day came, I was so excited to meet Criss. I was finally going to get that chance to meet the person who has inspired me for so many years. I had actually made Criss a DVD about how much he has inspired me that I really wanted him to see. I knew that during the meet and greet I would be way to shy and way too nervous to really explain how much he means to me so I decided to make him a DVD that would do all of the explaining for me - on-top of my thank yous in person at the meet and greet. The DVD took me 9 hours straight to make. He HAD to see it. So, when the time came and Criss entered the room backstage he said, "Do you have any questions you would like to ask, sweety?" and I said, "Actually, Criss, I do. You see, I made this DVD for you and it would really mean the world to me if you watched it. I know you're busy, so if you can't I totally understand." Criss then asked how long it was and I said that it was about 5 minutes. Criss then replied, "5 minutes? Of course I'll watch it! Let's take a seat and we'll watch it together!" So, we then sat on a little couch that was in front of us backstage. I went to go plug in the portable DVD player I brought with me but then Criss said, "Nonono, let me plug that in for you sweety!", it was really nice of him to do that - what a gentleman! LOL! So before I knew it, my Mom, my Dad, and my two brothers and Criss were sitting beside me watching my DVD I made for him. Criss had put his arm around me while the DVD was on and smiled all the way through. He even cracked some jokes about a few pictures of him I included in it! It was really funny and amazing! After we watched my DVD together he said, "Wow! That was just amazing, Jenn! Thank you so much! I wish I could get a copy of that to show my Mom and my brothers, they'd love it too." Then I said, "it's all yours! I made it for you I'd love it if you kept it!". So, Criss thanked me again and gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. We then took a few pictures and he signed my BeLIEve program which states, "Jenn - believe in your dreams. I Love you. 7-30-09. PS. You're beautiful and sweet. Criss Angel." After all the signing and picture taking was done, Criss was still talking about my DVD. He then began to take his BeLIEve hat off of his head and said, "You know what Jenn? I don't normally do this... Actually, I've never done this for anyone. But I want you to have my BeLIEve hat. I've worn it for 200 shows and multiple MINDFREAK episodes and well, I really want you to have it. I love you sweety." So, he signed his hat and gave it to me which states, "Jenn, Love ya. Criss Angel." It was wet from his perspiration from the show that night which just made the moment that much better. To this day, two years later, I still can't believe I met him. He even remembers my name - My family and I went back to Vegas for my sweet 16 on August 24, 2010, and Criss was on his way to his MINDFREAK party at his bar, Lidquidity, and caught me on his way out. He said, "Hey Jenn!" and I ended up singing for him. It was absolutely two dreams come true and I really owe it all to God and my family for making our two roads meet. Criss Angel is truly the man I thought he was, maybe even better. He's the sweetest and most caring person I've ever met and every day I feel proud to be his fan.

After the meet and greet, he tweeted about my DVD which you can see on my twitter: www.twitter.com/LoyalJenn under my "Favourite Tweets" column. :-)

God Bless,
Jenn

How Criss Angel Made My 18th Birthday Perfect
08/26/2012 - 1:44pm | Comments: ()

*SPOILER ALERT - I MENTION SOME OF THE TRICKS CRISS ANGEL DOES IN BELIEVE SO READ WITH CAUTION! ;-)*

Hello Loyals! How are you all? I hope everyone is having a great summer and that you're enjoying this nice, warm weather!

As some of you already know from my Twitter (@LoyalJenn), on August 24 2012, my family took me to see BeLIEve for my 18th birthday! I was SO happy that my parents took me to see the show again - they couldn't have got me a better birthday present than seeing Criss Angel live because he has been my biggest inspiration (outside of my family) for many years. Criss taught me to believe in myself and in my dreams. He taught me that if you have a dream and your actions speak louder than words, then you will eventually realize your dream. He also taught me to never, ever give up on my dreams and to always turn negativity into something positive. Without Criss, I would have never gained the confidence to go for my dream of becoming a signed Pop recording artist. I truly thank Criss from the bottom of my heart for teaching me such important lessons in my life. It's because of how much he has inspired me that seeing him live was truly a wonderful gift from my parents and I can't thank them enough for taking me. I love my parents and the rest of my family so much! They mean the world to me and I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful family.

A few of my friends and followers on Twitter have asked me to tell them the whole story of what happened at BeLIEve the night of my birthday on August 24! So, here it is! This is how Criss Angel made my 18th birthday perfect:

One week before my family and I left for Vegas, we went shopping at a Christian store near our home. This store has always been my favourite store because I am a very strong Christian. While shopping, I found a beautiful stone plaque that had the Serenity Prayer written on it in gorgeous font. I immediately thought of Criss, his family, and his new home called Serenity. I thought he would really love this plaque so I purchased it for him and brought it with us to Vegas!

On August 23, the night before we saw BeLIEve, I spent a couple of hours making a sign to bring with me to the show. On the sign, I had written something along the lines of "Criss I love you! It's my 18th birthday today!" and I also included pictures from our first private meet and greet on July 30, 2009, which you can read about in my "About Me" section.

The next morning, I spent the whole day getting ready to see Criss that night! I made sure everything was absolutely perfect. I edited my sign, I made sure the gift I bought him was wrapped up properly, and it even took me a whole hour to pick out my outfit! Usually, it takes me 5 minutes to choose an outfit, but I really wanted this night to be perfect! Besides, I have a history of bad luck when it comes to ruining outfits that I believe to be nice, haha! For example, the first time I went to see BeLIEve in 2008, it took me an hour to choose an outfit and then I ended up spilling chocolate ice cream on it earlier in the day! LOL! I did not want that to happen again so I made sure the outfit stayed clean until we left our hotel room and got in to the theater. In case any of you are wondering what I decided to wear, I wore a pink LOVE CRISS v-neck tee, destroyed skinny jeans, a Criss Angel bandana tied around my arm, and a CA logo necklace, and white flats. ;-) So, after my family and I were all ready to go, we headed down to the theater for the 9:30 pm show!

When we got to our seats (we were sitting in front row, seats 1-4), Lars, who is an usher/clown in BeLIEve, waved to me and came up and said hello. He is so sweet! I love him! He always seems to remember me from past visits to see BeLIEve. While we were waiting for the show to start, a photographer was walking up and down the aisles of the theater offering families to take pictures in front of the stage. So, my family and I got some pictures. The photographer also happened to be Canadian so we were talking to her about Canada and her home in Calgary for quite a while. She was so nice! After we finished speaking with her, the show started and as some of you know, Luigi, who is another usher/clown, was called to answer a phone call from Criss haha! When Luigi answered the phone, Criss on the other line said that he was going to be "late" so he wanted the ushers/clowns to entertain the audience until he arrived. When Mateo/Maestro began to entertain the audience while Criss was "late", he asked my Dad if he liked birds. My Dad then said, "Yeah!", then Maestro put a handkerchief over his hand, pulled it back off his hand, and flashed my Dad and the rest of the audience the middle finger! LOL! It was pretty hilarious because almost every show we go to whether it's in Vegas, New York, absolutely ANYWHERE, my Dad somehow someway gets singled out by a cast member in the show, so it was really funny for us!

When the Mindfreak song began to play, I knew Criss was about to come on stage from past experiences. So I reached into my purse and pulled out my sign for him to see. I literally only had to hold up the sign for no longer than 5 seconds. As soon as Criss saw it, he winked at me and smiled. Already, my birthday was perfect and I honestly wasn't expecting Criss to give me anything else or do anything else for me during or after the show. I was simply happy that he remembered me and acknowledged that it was my birthday with a wink and a smile, I was happy as could be just with that little kind gesture he gave.

So, as some of you who have seen BeLIEve know, within the first 10 minutes after Criss comes out on stage, he does the trick with the chest and throws his wristband out to the crowd. The first guy to catch the wristband said that his name was Jeff. Then Jeff threw the wristband over his head and it was caught by another guy. Criss asked the other guy to choose a number and the number he chose was 21. Then, that guy then threw the wristband 1 final time to a lady who said she was from California. So, Criss then pulled down the chest that was hanging above the stage the whole time, opens up the paper, and guesses the name, the number, and the state. I've seen BeLIEve so many times and I STILL have no idea how he does that one! It's mind blowing! I love it! Anyway, after he revealed the paper to the audience, he walked over to me and said, "Here you go sweetheart, you keep this! Happy Birthday!" and he gave me the paper! I then said, "Thank you so much, Criss!" So, after a wink, a smile, AND a piece of paper, I was absolutely thrilled! Just when I thought he was finished acknowledging my birthday and my family and I sitting in the front row with a wink and smile, he made it even better and gave me the paper!

So, here I am sitting there with the piece of paper with a huge smile on my face. I thought for sure that he was going to stop acknowledging my birthday after he gave me the paper. I thought for sure that it couldn't get any better. I was extremely happy with the wink and smile, and now I was thrilled with a wink, smile, and the paper from the trick! But then, just 10 minutes later, it got even better! Criss and Mateo were just about to choose a 16 year old kid to go up on stage and do the trick with Kayala and the trick with the cups and balls. So, Criss and Mateo walked to center stage and just before Mateo was about to say that he was looking for a volunteer, Criss said, "Hmm... I wonder if we should get an 18 YEAR OLD GIRL..." and smiled at me again! He acknowledged it AGAIN! I couldn't believe it! I was happy, then I was thrilled, and now I was ecstatic. Obviously, the trick wouldn't work with a girl, so I didn't go up nor was I expecting to be picked to go up. Criss only said it to make me even happier (if that was even possible - I was pretty dang happy!) I think. After that, I FOR SURE thought it couldn't get any better and that he was done.

But, I was wrong! It got even better! Later on in the show Criss came into the audience and passed out pieces of paper to random people. If you got a pic of his CA logo, you got to go on stage and help him with the "In Two" trick, as you already know. As he was walking passed me to hand the paper out, he smiled again and said, "Happy Birthday hun!". He acknowledged it for the 4TH TIME. He was going to hand me the paper, but before, he had mentioned that the next trick wasn't too great to watch for people who are squeamish. And tbh, even though I've seen the show many times, it still bothers me to see blood and stuff even if it's fake! LOL! So, I didn't want to take the chance of feeling sick if I got the paper and had to go up on stage, so I pointed to my brother, Tim, and Criss gave him the paper instead. Plus I wanted him to give it to my brother because my brother is a fan too, and I felt bad that Tim didn't get a chance to really communicate with Criss as much as I already had during the show.

So, after Criss performed "In Two", he got a pretty big applause. The "In Two" trick that night was performed right in the middle of the show. Last time I saw BeLIEve it was performed closer to the end of the show, but not this time, for some reason. So, with that in mind, after the long applause, Criss then began to walk up and down the aisles and talking to the audience. He was talking about how thankful he is to have fans like us and how we put him on the map as a popular magician. He said that if it weren't for us he wouldn't be where he is or have the best selling magic show in the world. It was a really nice speech. Near the end of the speech, Criss began walking towards the front row. As soon as he finished his speech, he was standing RIGHT in front of me. He then said, "So it's your birthday! Happy Birthday, sweety!". I said, "Thank you so much!", he then said, "Stand up!", and put his hand out for me to hold and helped me out of my chair (what a gentleman! haha!). Criss then said, "It's so great to see you again! I've met you many times! Thanks so much for all of your support, I hope you're having a great birthday!" I then said, "Oh I am, thank you so much Criss!" He then gave me a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek! Then, he waved to my Mom who was sitting beside me and said, "Hiya momma!". It was so cute haha! Then, just as I was about to sit down, he said, "Wait let's get a picture! Come over here and take a pic with me!" So, I brought out my phone, and my brother took our picture. Then I thanked my brother and then thanked Criss again! Criss did ALL of this right smack dab in the middle of his show! He basically stopped the show just to say happy birthday for the 5th time! He couldn't have been any nicer!

And, just when I thought he was done, it got even better! At the end of the show when everyone starts taking pictures of Criss, I ran up to the stage and held out my gift for him to take. Criss then came over and took my gift. Right after he took it, he said, "Oh my gosh! Thank you so much sweetheart! But it's YOUR birthday! You should be getting gifts, not me! Why are you giving me something?" Then I said, "Oh nono I really want to give it to you!" He then said, "Aww well thank you so much! You know something? I'm going to get you a birthday gift." Then, before I could even say something, Criss yells at the top of his lungs, "HEY OLGA! OLGA! WHEN THE SHOW IS ALL OVER, MAKE SURE THIS SWEETHEART GETS SOMETHING FREE OUT OF THE BELIEVE STORE! SHE'S RIGHT HERE IN FRONT ROW! WALK HER TO THE BELIEVE STORE AND LET HER PICK ANYTHING SHE WANTS!" I then almost like cried and I said "Oh my gosh thank you so much, Criss! I really appreciate it!" and Criss said, "Nonono, thank YOU! Now, I want you to pick absolutely anything you want. Pick the most expensive thing! There's like 30 grand in there so pick something really expensive for me sweetheart!" It was really, really nice of him! Then, like 3 seconds before he left the stage for good, he said "You guys were a great crowd! Thank you so much!" Then, he pointed at me, smiled, and said, "Happy Birthday, baby! I'll see you later!"

So, all in one show, he acknowledged my birthday 6 times, gave me the paper, and a free item of my choice from his store. It was seriously the best birthday I have ever had and by far my best BeLIEve experience! He is just sooo nice and amazing with his fans!

Criss Angel is by far one of the sweetest, nicest, generous, most caring guys I have ever met. Every single day I am proud and honored to be his fan. Criss deserves absolutely everything he has. He has been such a positive influence in my life and I can't thank him enough for all he has done for me over the years. From watching the DVD I made him with me on a couch backstage, to giving me his hat, taking pictures, and signing autographs, he still goes out of his way to make not only me happy on my birthday, but to make every single one of his fans happy and to make sure that every fan feels his love and has a great time at BeLIEve. I wear his merchandise with pride everywhere I go and I'm hoping to continue seeing BeLIEve over the years. But no matter what, I will never stop supporting Criss and being his fan. I just love him so much! I don't know where I would be without him and the positive lessons he has taught me throughout my life. Thank you SO much Criss from the bottom of my heart for making my 18th birthday PERFECT! I love you!

God Bless,
Jenn
