HP sued by deal to buy Autonomy

SAN FRANCISCO, UNITED STATES (26/NOV72012.) - Hewlett-Packard Co was sued by an capitalist on Monday claiming that the U.S. technology business knew that the financial statements of the software firm Autonomy were tricking at the time of transaction 2011, according to lawyers representing the plaintiffs.

The proposed class action was filed in federal government court in San Francisco.

HP dropped a bombshell on the market last week by announcing a write eight thousand 800 million dollars in the buy of Autonomy, saying the British software company inflated sales with improper accounting.

HP, which bought Autonomy for 11 thousand 100 million dollars last year, said he notified regulators on both sides of the Atlantic for his complaint.

The lawsuit, one of the first to be submitted by investors due to the problem of Autonomy, HP ensures that hid the fact that gained control of Autonomy based on financial statements which could not be authentic.

It also says that HP has not revealed to investors who tried to undo the agreement for Autonomy previous closing due to economic issues.
