CH. 30 Where the story ends
As Liliana walked away from the witness stand, her eyes searched for Criss. His eyes resembled a look of despise, which made Liliana shiver of fear. She knew that everything that she had said was a lie, part of it that is. She walked and sat next to the Chief.
"Good job, my dear! you just saved your lover's life" the chief whispered into Liliana's ear.
Liliana looked at him with hate and said, " you mean I just send my lover to jail for life". The chief looked at her and gave her a quick smirk but didn't say nothing.

As the trial went on, it was time for Criss to take the witness stand.
"So tell me Mr. Angel what's your real name?" the lawyer asked Criss as he got closer to him.
"Christopher Sarantakos" Criss answered.
"Why did you rob all those banks?" the lawyer continued.

"Necessity..." Criss said. " Necessity??...Please Mr. Sarantakos since when did robbing a bank became an obligation in someone's life?" the lawyer asked mockingly. Criss remained quiet.
"Look the money wasn't for me ok..." Criss continued. "Ahh no, so for who was it?" the lawyer said.
"Part of the money went to a nun's convention, that cared for sick children. That money went for medication and food for the children" Criss remarked.
"Oh wow, so we have a new Robin Hood now days" the Lawyer said as he laughed. Criss wasn't very pleased with the lawyer's comments.
"Is everything a joke to you?" Criss yelled to the lawyer. "I'm going to ask you to watch your language Mr. Sarantakos" the judge said.

"I have nothing else to ask you honor" the lawyer said as he walked to his seat. The judge looked at Criss and said, "Is there anything else you which to say?" Criss took a big breath and said,

"So it's time for me to speak. What is there for me to say? When I'm finish you'll sentence me for my crime. So let me ask you now, what is a crime?What is punishment? It seems to vary from time to time and place to place. What's legal today is suddenly illegal tomorrow because society says it's so, and what's illegal yesterday is suddenly legal because everybody's doin' it, and you can't put everybody in jail. I'm not saying this is right or wrong. I'm just saying that's the way it is. There is nothing else for me to say, this words wont help me get out of here, but one thing is for sure I don't regret anything I've done. This is me, the real Criss Angel, this is what I do and I'm not afraid to say it"

The judge looked at Criss and asked him if that was all he wanted to say. Criss then rose from the witness stand and looked at Liliana,

"I just wish for once that you could be in my shoes, Liliana, and then you would know something that you don't know: mercy! That the concept of a society is based on the quality of that mercy; its sense of fair play; its sense of justice!" Criss said with anger, and made his way to his seat. Liliana couldn't believe what he just had said to her. She was shocked and tears began to roll down her face. Liliana tried to get out of the courtroom but the chief didn't let her and sat her down again.

" you're not leaving until the jury gives the verdict" he told her. Finally it was time for the jury to give its verdict.
"Has the jury made its decision?" the judge asked. As one of the jury members stood up and said they had.
Criss waited patiently for the jury's answer.
" We the jury find the defendant Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos aka "Criss Angel"....guilty...." one of the members said. Criss let his body collapse on his seat again. Liliana began to cry as she saw that Criss' life crashed down to the floor.
The judge looked at Criss and said, " As the judge of this court and trial I sentence you to 55 years in prison with no bail"

CH. 31 IT'S OVER
As the police officer handcuffed Criss again to take him back to his jail cell, Liliana made her way to where Criss was. Another police officer saw her and blocked her way.
"Please Officer, let me say something to him" Liliana begged. But the officer didn't let her. She was only a few feet away from Criss, so she shouted.

"Criss! Criss!" she said. Criss looked around and saw it was her, he then turned back without replying to Liliana. When the police started to scort Criss back to his cell, Liliana managed to get a little bit closer to where he was walking.
"Criss please listen to me" Liliana said in a desperate tone.
"What do you want?" Criss yelled back at her in a not so pleasant tone. Liliana froze at his remark, making her shiver out of fear.

"Let me explain, you dont understand" she said.
Criss rolled his eyes, " Oh I think I understand perfectly Liliana, I understand that you're a traitor and a liar" he said trying to hold his tears back.
"what?..no!..Criss" Liliana said but Criss interrupted her by saying,
"Oh it's true, you know what I was a fool to think that you love me"
"But Criss I do love.." she couldn't finish her sentence.

"Shut up! Shut up! Don't even bother saying it...and don't even bother coming to visit me, cuz I won't see you" Criss said
"Christopher!" Liliana shouted while tears streamed down her face.
"I know I've said that I dont regret anything i've done. But I do regret something" he said
"what?" Liliana said as she tried to wiped her tears out of her face.
"meeting you" Criss said as he walked through the door and left. Those were the last words that Liliana heard from him.

Liliana walked out of the courtroom and waited for a taxi to pass by, in the moment Johnny steped out of a car.
"Liliana" he shouted. Liliana looked at him but didn't move.
"Lily I tried to make it the trial but I couldn't make it. My lawyer called me, he told me that he couldn't do anything else for your boyfriend..Im sorry" Johnny said as he hugged Liliana.
"Johnny, I wanna go back to the states" Liliana said.

Ch. 32 THE END HAS ONLY BEGAN

10 years later...

"Babe, I'm back!" Johnny shouted as he opened the door and made his way inside his hotel room.
"Im glad you're back" Liliana said jumping on him and giving him a kiss. Johnny didn't let go of her and they both made their way to the living room and began a make out session.

"So how did your Alice in wonderland premier go?" Liliana asked johnny as she played with his hair.
"It was good, all the fans were great, I love them, because of them I still have this job" he said.
"I know!" Liliana commented as she rested her head on his chest.
Johnny then got up from the couch and made his way to the bathroom to take a shower. Meanwhile, Liliana order some food so they would eat. When Johnny got out from the shower, he made his way to the table and began to eat along with Liliana.

" Darling what do you wanna do later on?" Johnny said as he took a bite of his food.
"I don't know babe, and besides you seem pretty tired from the premier, so you better rest" she said.
"Ahh nonsense, we are in a marvelous city, we need to go out and have fun" Johnny said. Liliana took a bite of her food and raised her eyebrows as an expression that she didn't know where to go. Suddenly, Johnny's cellphone rang and he answered,

"Hello...Hey Tim how you been..you didn't stay for the movie?...yeah I came back to the hotel...we wanna go out, but we don't know where...really? sounds good...what time?8:00 pm?...you have them?...great...I'l tell her..ok bye see you there"
Liliana looked at Johnny and gave him at smile while Johnny hang up the phone.
"Get ready darling, we're going out after all" Johnny said as he rose from his seat and headed out to the room to get himself ready.

"Where?" Liliana said as she took a sip of her drink.
"We're going to this show call BELIEVE..Tim says its pretty good" johnny shouted from the room.
"Sounds good, after all we are in Vegas" Liliana said as she went to the room to get ready.

Ch.33 Believe it or Not!
When Johnny and Liliana made their way down to the lobby, a mob of paparazzi were waiting for them.
The paparazzi started to scream their names as they came into view, millions of flashes surrounded the couple.
"Johnny!! Johnny!! Liliana!!" paparazzi shouted from all directions. The flashes made Johnny impossible to see where he was going, making him bump into one of the paparazzo. The guy quickly apologized to Johnny, but Johnny didn't say anything. The commotion was making him upset.

"So where are you guys heading tonight" one of the paparazzo said to the couple. But neither Johnny nor Liliana answered his question. The finally made their way to their car and left the place.
"God, that was fun...not!" Johnny said as he kept driving down Las Vegas blvd. Liliana laughed at his comment, she then reached towards him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"So where is this show?" Liliana asked.

"Is in the Luxor hotel, Tim told me is a pretty good show, very entertaining" Johnny replied. When they got there, Johnny saw another mob of paparazzi outside the Luxor. But with the help of some of the workers, they managed to enter the hotel from a different entrance. The had arrive just in time, they went inside the theater and sat in the best seats of the house. Johnny and Liliana were talking, suddenly, the lights went dim, and the show began.

"I hope you like it" Johnny whispered into Liliana's ear. Liliana smiled and said, "I know I will"
The show was going great, Liliana and Johnny where having a great time. Suddenly, he appeared.
Liliana froze when she saw his face, "Criss??!!...this can't be" she exclaimed.

Ch. 34 Who knew

Liliana began to breath hard, suddenly she started to gasp for air, she felt like someone was suffocating her. Flashbacks began to play over her head like movie scenes. She remembered the first time they met, the first kiss they had, the first bank robbery she experienced with him, the first time he made love to her, the first time they had a fight...the last time she saw him.

"Darling" Johnny whispered making Liliana jump a little. "huh, what?" she said a little thrown off.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"Uhh...yeah..yeah, why?" she said to him without taking her eyes away from Criss.
"I don't know, you seemed like you were spacing off" he said. Liliana got a bit nervous and said, "Uhh I need a little air, I'm gonna go to the restroom" Johnny nodded to what she said, Liliana got up from her seat and walked out. She leaned on the wall and put her head back and began to take deep breaths while she closed her eyes.

"Are you ok miss" a voice said making Liliana open her eyes and see who it was.
"I'm fine thank you..I just needed some air" she said while she gasped for more air.
"Oh yeah, back in there it can get pretty crowded, making people lose their air" the man said as he chuckled.
Liliana giggled at his comment.
"Hey" the man said as if an idea had crossed his mind. "You're Liliana, Johnny Depp's girlfriend right?" he continued.
Liliana giggled a little more, " uh yeah...that's me" she said.
"Nice to meet you, I'm JD" the man said. Liliana quickly gave him a handshake. "You look kind of familiar" she exclaimed.
JD laughed, "Oh I get that a lot because of my brother"
Liliana was a bit confused, "Your brother?"
"Yeah Criss, he's my brother" he remarked. Liliana's eyes widen. "He never told me he had another brother" she thought.

"Have you met him" JD said while he got out his phone. "Uhh no!" Liliana answered a little nervous.
"If you wanna meet him I can help you...when the show ends we can walk back stage" JD exclaimed. Liliana got quiet she didn't know what to say.
"Umm I would love to, but uhh...Johnny has to do...something, another time would be fine" she said hoping she didn't looked to obvious that she didn't wanna see him. JD agreed and then said, "I think you should get in, you're missing all the show"
Liliana looked at the doors the lead inside the theater and with a fake smile she said, " yeah...you're right" she exclaimed.

As she was about to get inside the theater, JD stopped her,
"Hey, can I get a picture with you?" he said blushing a little. Liliana giggled and without thinking she agreed, and went inside the theater.
"Uh Costa and Criss are gonna be so jealous when they see that I took a picture with a beautiful woman" JD said as he walked backstage while looking at the picture.

Ch. 35 Never saw it coming

When the show ended, Johnny and Liliana were walking out of the theater, when they were suddenly stopped by some fans.
"Oh my god Johnny! can I get an autograph" one of the girls said holding a pen and a piece of paper. Johnny smiled and willingly agreed. When he finished, Liliana and him began to make their way through the hotel.
"Darling, do you wanna go to one of the bars right here?" Johnny asked as he looked at Liliana.
Liliana hesitated to respond, she knew that it was to dangerous to stay in the Luxor and be seen by Criss.
"Ahh...nah, why...don't we go....to...another place?" Liliana said nervously

"Are you ok, sweetheart?" Johnny asked a little worried. Liliana nodded. "Yes, I'm fine" she said. Suddenly the racket of screaming girls was heard a few feet away.
Johnny and Liliana looked where all the commotion was coming from.
"What's going on over there?" Johnny asked a little curious. "I don't know" Liliana responded as she too tried to see what was going on.

"Criss! Criss!" A few girls screamed. Liliana froze and hold Johnny's hand more tight.
"Oh is Criss, the guy from the show...I wanna go and congratulate him for such an amazing show, come darling lets go" Johnny said as he pulled Liliana and started walking towards him. Liliana began to get more nervous, she needed an excuse to get out of there as soon as possible.
"Ahhh" Liliana shriek as she bent down a little. Johnny looked at her, "Baby, what's wrong?" he asked worriedly.
"I think I twisted my ankle" she lied. Johnny asked her if she could walk, Liliana tried to but fake that she couldn't.
"We better get home, I don't want your ankle to get all bruised up" he said as he carried her away the hotel.

***Different point of view***
"Ok girls, thats enough for today" Costa said as he helped Criss get through the crowd. When Criss managed to get through the commotion, Costa and him went to Liquidity to have a drink.
" Oh what a night" Criss said taking a sip of his martini. "Oh yeah" Costa replied.
"I'm living the dream bro" Criss exclaimed with a smile. Costa raised his drink into the air and said, " cheers to that"

"I knew that someday I will be doing what I wanted, specially when it didn't go so well back in Europe" Criss remarked.
" By the way, what happen in Europe?, you never talked about it since you got back from there" Costa asked as he raised his eyebrow.
Criss remained quiet and before talking another sip of his drink he said in a serious tone, "I don't wanna talk about it"

In that moment JD arrived, "Hey guys..great show Criss" JD said as he sat with them.
"Where were you JD?" Costa asked. "Dude you're worse than mom" JD replied making Criss laugh.
They all started talking and having a great time when suddenly,
"Hey guys, you're gonna be sooo jealous when I show you this" JD said as he took his cellphone out from his pocket.
"what?" Criss and Costa asked curiously. JD then showed the phone to Costa. "No way!, isn't she..." Costa couldn't finish his sentence and was interrupted by JD who said, "Yeah, that's her"

"No way dude, you're lucky, she's hot" Costa said drooling over the picture. Criss looked a bit confused.
"What are you guys talking about, I wanna see the picture too" Criss said smiling. JD then took the phone away from Costa and gave it to Criss. When Criss saw it, he couldn't believe his eyes. "Where...where did you get this?" he said in a firm yet nervous tone.

"Dude she is pretty" Costa commented.
"I'm not kidding...JD where and when did you took this picture" Criss remarked in an angry voice. JD and Costa were a little thrown off by his reaction.
"I took it today, during your show...she..." JD couldn't finish his sentence when suddenly Criss threw the phone back at him and stormed out of the bar.

CH.36 Where is this leading to

With such fury Criss made his way out of the bar and into the lobby. He was heading to his room, but decided to get his lambo and take a little ride to clear his head. He was walking with such rage that he bumped into a person.
"Hey! watch it!" the man said. But Criss didn't even turn back to apologize. As the man saw who it was he said, "Criss?" It was carrot top. But still, Criss kept walking through the lobby without looking back.

Once he got outside the hotel, he order for his lambo and while waiting for it, he paced back and forth on the sidewalk.
As the lambo came into view, he stepped out of the sidewalk and got near his car. "Here are your keys Mr. Angel" the guy told him. But Criss didn't respond, he got into the car and took off. As he drove down Las Vegas Blvd, he started reminiscing everything that he and Liliana had lived back in Europe. A smile appeared on his face when he remembered the first time he met her and the time he made love to her. Criss drove out of the city and into the desert. Criss was having all this beautiful flashback of Liliana, but suddenly his smiled disappeared, when he remembered the day of the trial. He started breathing like a wild beast, and started to speed faster.

"Aghhh, how could you Liliana???" he screamed to himself from the top of his lungs. " You were my everything, I loved you with all my heart and you...you!!.." he couldn't finish his sentence when he felt his voice breaking down. He closed his eyes and swallowed hard. He heard the horn of a truck, he quickly opened his eyes and saw that he was driving in the opposite lane, he braked trying not to hit the big truck. His lambo zigzagged and went out the road, until he managed to finally come to a stop. His heart was racing like a horse, and he was breathing like a wild beast. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore and tears began to fall down his face.

"Why Lily? why??" he said as he rested his forehead on the steering wheel.
"I thought you were my past, but I can see that my past came back to hunt me" he said to himself as he still kept crying. Suddenly his phone went off, he quickly reached for it, and before he answered he tried to clear his voice.

"What?" he said in an angry tone.
" Criss where are ya? Man I'm confused, what's going on? why did you took off like that? " JD said in a desperate tone.
Criss took a deep breath and tried to relaxed, "JD...how do you know that woman?" Criss said. JD was still confused about the whole situation. JD wanted to know what was the mystery between the woman and Criss so he contribute and said,
"Well, everybody in the U.S knows her... she is the girlfriend of the famous movie star, Johnny Depp"
"What???" Criss yelled. He couldn't believe it. "She went back with him?" he thought to himself.

CH. 37 Tell me, and no lies

The next morning, Liliana was slowly woken up by the gentle kisses of Johnny.
"Morning Darling" Johnny said as he stroke Liliana's hair. Liliana yawn as she rubbed her eyes, "Good morning babe" she said in a still sleepy voice.

"How's your ankle doing?" Johnny asked. "My ankle?" Liliana said with a confused look on her face.
"Yeah, you twisted it last night..." Johnny told her as he took the blanket off to take a look at Liliana's ankle. Liliana quickly sat down on the bed, "Ohhh yeah...my ankle, its good!" she said trying to hide the truth.
"Well it seems ok, it didn't even bruised up" Johnny said as he rubbed her ankle. "Yeah, its all good now" Liliana said a bit nervous. Johnny smiled. They both got up from the bed and headed to the kitchen to eat breakfast.

4 hours later...
Criss was in his room watching some t.v, just to kill time. It was his day off from believe, and he didn't felt like going out. He was still kind of confused and bummed about Liliana. Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"who is it?" Criss yelled as he petted hammie. "It's me, JD.." JD said as he slowly opened the door. He made his way through the room and sat on the couch next to Criss. " How are you doing?" JD asked him as he reached for hammie to pet him.

"Im fine" Criss said without taking his eyes away from the t.v screen. "You don't fool me Criss, I'm your brother and I know you...whats wrong?"
"About what?" Criss said in a confused tone pretending not to know what his brother was talking about.
"Ok...I'm tired of always being the nice guy with you, but I'm done with that!...what the is your problem with Johnny Depp's girlfriend?" JD said with anger. Criss became angry in how his brother was reacting, he abruptly rose from the couch, making hammie jump off his lap and said, " That's not your business!"

"Ohh it is my business and..."JD yelled back at him.
"I don't want to discuss my personal life with you" Criss said as he started to walk away. JD followed him "What did you said?...did you said personal life?...so you have something with her?" JD said as he stopped Criss on his tracks. JD kept repeating the same question over and over again. But Criss wasn't spilling any information.

"Get off my face JD" Criss yelled back. "I'm not going to until you tell me...whats wrong with you?" JD screamed back. Criss became more angry and shoved JD. But JD didn't gave up easily and shoved him back. "If you don't have the guts to tell me...I guess I'll have to ask her instead" JD screamed. But when Criss hear that, he suddenly punched JD on the face making him drop to the floor.
"She was my girlfriend back in Europe!" Criss said as he stared at JD who was still on the floor.

Ch. 38 Why is this happening
JD got up from the floor and headed out the door without saying anything back to Criss. Criss just stood there as he watched his brother leave. He then went into his room and slammed the door. He sat on his bed as tears rolled down his face.

" why? why? damn it..why?" he yelled over and over again. He got so desperate that he started to trash all his room around. He knocked off everything that was in front of him. He then went into his closet and started to throw his clothes on the floor. He looked like a wild tiger inside of a cage. He saw a stack of papers resting on the corner of his closet and abruptly tossed them to the floor too. Making the papers land all over his room. As he paced back and forth, stepping on the papers, he looked down and saw a picture. He pick it up. It was a picture of him and Liliana, that they had taken when they were back in Switzerland. Criss stared at it. He passed his finger over Liliana's face while a tear strolled down his cheek. He quickly wiped it away.

"Ahgg I hate you..Liliana" he yelled as he crumbled the picture into a ball and tossed it into the trash can. He stared at the trash can and without thinking it twice ran to it and took the picture out.
"Who I'm a kidding...I never stopped loving you Lily" he said as he tried to unwrinkled the picture as much as possible. He folded the picture and put it on his wallet. He then ran out of his hotel room to find JD. When he found him, he apologized for his reaction. JD understood him and said he was sorry too and that he shouldn't have butt in like that into his business. Criss told him it was fine and that he understood that he just wanted to protect him.
"Let's go eat..its on me" Criss said as he put his arm around JD.
JD agreed, "Sure, why don't we invite mom" JD said. Criss lower his eyes, "I don't think that's a good idea"
"Why?" JD said. "Because I want to tell you want happened when I was in Europe"

Ch. 39
"So, what happen to you back in Europe?"JD asked Criss as he took a sip of his drink. Criss looked around the restaurant and sighed.
"Promise me that you are not going to freak out" Criss said without taking his sight away from his brother.
"Criss just tell me" JD answered eagerly. " I was in...jail!" Criss finally said.
JD chuckled " very funny Christopher, seriously what happen back there?"
"I'm serious I was in jail..." Criss stated.
"Well what kind of crime did you committed, you stole an apple or what?" JD asked while he laughed.

"I was...a...bank robber" Criss finally confessed.
"hahaha..stop with the jokes criss seriously"
"I'm not kidding damn it, Criss Angel robbed banks" Criss said with a serious look. JD stopped laughing and slowly his smile faded.
"What???" JD asked shocked.
Criss lowered his eyes and looked at his drink, " I robbed many banks through out Europe, my last hit was a Bank in Italy, it was there where they cough me...Liliana or Johnny's girlfriend as you may know her as, became my partner in crime, moreover we became more than that...we felt in love....the weird thing was that there was no record of her, only me...when the day of my trial came, much to my surprise she testified....against me...she said that I kidnapped her, which I did not..."

JD was more than shocked, he couldn't believe what Criss was telling him, it sounded like Criss was telling the plot of an action movie.
"How did you met Liliana" JD asked. " I met her when I was in Paris, France. She had barely find out that Johnny was having an affair.."
"Wait, what? he cheated on her and she's still with him" JD asked confused. Criss just raised his shoulders as a sign that he didn't know why she had gone back to him.
"You still love her huh?" JD asked him in a gentle voice. Criss kept quiet and reached for his wallet. JD just stared at him wondering what Criss was doing. When Criss grabbed his wallet he took out a folded paper and gave it to JD.

"What is this?" JD asked as he reached for the folded piece of paper and began to unfolded. Much to his surprise, it was the picture of Criss and Liliana. JD stared at it, and looked back at Criss who was quiet and looking down at the table.
"It seemed that you two were in love.." JD stated. "Correction, I was in love..not her" Criss corrected him.
"Criss, don't say that, by the look she had in this picture, it looks like she was madly in love with you"
"What kind of person who claims to love you, testifies against you in court?" Criss said annoyed.
Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by a male voice.

"Criss Angel?" the man said. Criss looked up and much to his surprised he couldn't believe who was standing in front of him, it was none another than Johnny Depp.
"Yes?" Criss said astonished.
"I want to congratulate you for your wonderful show 'Believe', it's great!" Johnny said.
"Uh thank you Mr. Depp" Criss said nervously. "Ohh, please call me Johnny"
Liliana was coming out of the ladies room and saw that Johnny wasn't on the table. She looked around the restaurant and at a distance she saw Johnny talking to this two men. She couldn't define their faces, so she started to make her way to where Johnny was.
