Back at the hotel:
Xecsa had already gone to sleep, as the rest of the girls were still awake. “I wonder whats gonna happen now.” Kate asked as they were getting ready for bed to. “ Well if I was Criss, Claire said, as she came out of the bathroom and turned the light off, “I’d run after everyone who was responsible for letting a story like that go to print. Then tell Brooke to get off my property and have a nice life.”
Kate laughed. “I am impressed as to how you figured it out.” “ Well you have to be a detective, you want to find out information, you just gotta ask questions.” She sat on her bed. “ Well I just asked about Brooke, and JD and Costa sort of knew the rest.” “ I just hope no one blames you.” Kate said. “Even if they do, at least I know I will wake up every morning knowing that I helped save a bad relationship.” “ Maybe Criss will thank me.” Claire said hopefully. “ I hope he does.” Kate said.
In Alana's room:
Alana thought the best thing was for her to go to sleep since she figured everyone else probably had. But she was wondering about different things. She hoped most importantly that her job wasn’t at stake, but being around Criss after this was going be a bit harder, and the media knowing of another breakup wasn’t going to help.
She sat on her bed brushing her hair, and listened to Tell Him by Celine Dion. A beautiful ballad that really describes how she had been feeling. She then heard a small knock on the door. She really had hoped it was one of the girls. She got up without turning off her music, and opened the door. Celine started to sing I don’t think I could endure, if I let him walk away when I have so much to say.. She felt like there was a third person in the room. Criss stood at the door. “Can I talk to you?” She leaned on the open door. It was hard for her to lie, but this time she wanted to. “ No, I’m tired, and I was going to sleep soon, there’s always tomorrow.” She started to slowly shut the door. “ I don’t think I have tomorrow.” He answered. Lana opened the door back up. “Criss, your not dying, and when you were with Brooke there was always tomorrow.” She started to close the door. Criss opened it back up. “ What the hell does that mean?” “ I don’t know okay?” She was started to get annoyed. “I think you do. You had fire in your stomach tonight, a side of you I haven seen.” “Yeah, there’s a big side of me, that people haven’t seen.” She walked towards her bed to turn off the music. “ You can leave it on.” Criss said. “Doesn’t matter, you wouldn’t understand it.” Alana said. Criss let himself in and shut the door. “excuse me, I didn’t invite you in.” Alana said looking up. Alana was going into defense mode. She didn’t know if she wanted to just kiss him or throw something at him. “You know, you and I share something in common, he said as he sat her her bed. “ we both get defensive when it comes to our feelings.” Alana was to busy to looking around at her already organized computer and didn’t want him so close to her. Criss shut the screen, right on her fingers. “ owww!” Alana said looking at him as she lifted her fingers out from the screen, being a gentleman, Criss took her hand. “ Oh no” she said taking back her hand. “Until Brooke leaves Serenity, you two are still together, and I don’t need this right now.” She said taking back her hand. “ Why did you wait all this time?” Criss said looking at the wall, as Alana look at her hands in her lap. “ I don’t want to talk about this now.” Alana said softly. “ This is isn’t gonna go away.” Criss said. Alana stood up and faced him. “Because, I couldn’t take it anymore.” She whispered with an attitude throwing her hands in the air. “ I was like a kettle on the stove, it started to boil and boil, and tonight when you asked me, I thought wow, for once, I’m actually gonna be honest ; I was hired to do a job, and soon it wasn’t about being paid at the end of the pay. I started to enjoy coming to work. But I wasn’t there to get caught in your personal life.” “You didn’t talk about her much, so I thought maybe you weren’t happy, so I thought, well I’m gonna be there for him.” Criss didn’t know what to say. A part of him was upset. He felt like he wasn’t worth telling the truth to. That wasn’t it. She sat back down. “ If I had told you sooner, maybe you would have thought I was just another chick throwing herself at you, and that’s so not who I was.” “ No, what you said tonight was not some woman throwing herself at me.” Criss said. Alana looked down. “ Brooke’s disgusting, I hope you find out how she got away with that.” “ I will.” She looked at him, and he started to put Alana’s hair behind her ear gently. Alana started to get a little nervous, but she let him.
