Second episode, or at least an explanation?

I just watched Season 4 Episode 17 of MindFreak, where he has 13 seconds to get out of the car. Well, he doesn't. Obviously he didn't die since there are more episodes and he is well alive, (duh, I know) But did we get some sort of explanation to what happened? Was he in the car still and suffered major/minor injuries? Did he "disappear" and re-appear later like he's so good at? I feel like I didn't get an explanation! And me being the HUGE Criss Angel lover I am, even though I know he didn't die, I still cried. I need some closure here! lol

Criss wasn't injured, but he didn't "re-appear" later like he usually does. I guess he was trying something...new, leaving fans wondering what happened to him. It was a great stunt, but it kind of backfired on Criss. Many fans - especially the ones that were at the taping - were very upset because a lot of them did not find out until much later that Criss was fine.

Criss is always trying to come up with new ways to freak people out and he maybe just went a little overboard with this particular stunt.

Well, not a lot of people are going to agree with me, or maybe they will. I'm not trying to tell you what to think but maybe try and help change your perspective on things, or on the situation of the episode.

Criss Angel's car wreck vanish, i have seen the episode lots, as well as everyone else. Next time you watch the episode, read the title of the episode clearly (not trying to say you must be blind or anything). But here is something to think about.

Criss is very good at what he does with the art of magic and illusion, and knows how to make people feel the way they do. He has studied magic for the longest time, more so than some, but maybe not a lot than some living longer than him. He knows how to freak people out. He had 13 seconds to escape from the handcuffs and get out of the car before it went off the cliff. Now he obviously wasn't in the car when the big explosion went off with fire everywhere. He obviously had a back-up plan that no one else knew about, or even the production crew. Criss once said in previous episodes, "if what i'm doing doesn't work, or it doesn't go as planned - there is always the element of surprise!" He had to have vanished before the car exploded, or he would have still been stuck and the stunt could have gone a lot worse.

But i am not saying that thats what happened, i'm just trying to help you come up with a different theory, if you will. Then again, i don't know myself but thats kind of the conclusion that i've come up with. Cuz that episode did air a long while after (before A&E premiered a new season and they were showing marathons of Mindfreak), and people were still coming on to message boards asking if he made it through the demonstration, and if he was ok.

I'm glad you knew the answer to my question. It has been driving me crazy. I hope he doesn't do that again, if I had been watching it when it first came out, I would have flipped. but clearly since he's alive, I knew he must be okay.

I remember when this was filmed -- a few Loyals went and posted their experience on the forums at the time. They really thought something went "wrong" because Criss didn't appear once the car exploded and none of the crew were talking or given an explanation as to what was going on. It was very dramatic, from what people were saying! But then, obviously, they saw Criss later in the day so they knew he was alright. But there was a period of time where no one knew what was going on or what had happened to Criss!

This type of stuff is why I could hardly ever watch the last stunt on Mindfreak unless it was on DVD. When he broke his word to his Family I was upset to put it nicly and mildly. To me if there isn't another season of Mindfreak that is just fine with me, Don't get me wrong I would never want Criss to go away completely but the stuff that is too dangerous, in my opinion, has to go! I love Criss I don't want to see him potentally die.

I think he did get hurt because you notice during the episode of his birthday Criss had a butterfly bandage above his eye which was hiding underneath his hair

I remember this. The loyals that were hanging around where the production office was or something. Someone else said not too long after he disappeared ; they said they seen Sully Erna drive by waving. Apparently he and Criss had planned to go watch the UFC fight at some bar???
I think thats when the girls ran into Criss and one of them called him over.They showed heir concern and Criss had them take pics and post everything on the old forum.He didn't realize the loyals were that upset. I was hanging around the board waiting to hear from someone about it.
It was pretty intense, but Criss said he didn't know that we were all unaware that everything was fine.I can't remember all the loyals that were there ; but I do remember Bailey and Georgiana? being there.
I think they said that the crew hadn't told them anything as to what happened after.
Criss was ok and he was getting ready to go out that night.

Thats to the best of my recollection of it anyway.
