I wrote this one for a contest on one of Criss' old sites before I had even seen the Cement Block Escape. I didn't win.

Cement Block


Am I really doing this?
Enter my mind.
Will I live through this?
Enter my mind.

Alone with my thoughts,
I ponder my fate.
If fear and doubt take over,
I'll be crushed by the weight.
The tomb I'm in is cold, hard, and real,
But I am strong and prepared for the ordeal.

Am I really doing this?
Enter my mind.
Will I live through this?

The hours pass slowly.
My body grows weak.
I'm deprived of food and adequate sleep.
There it is again.
I'm losing my connection.
No! I'm Criss Angel!
I must fight the confliction.

Am I really doing this?
Enter my mind.

Enter my mind.

It's almost over. It's time for my escape!
I want to hear the crowd cheering.
I cannot wait!
My mind, body, and spirit have pulled me
through again.
Working together, the fear did not enter in.

I have really done this!
