CH. 19 Dark Memories

Later that day the trio had found an abandoned house that was located only a few blocks away from the bank. Down in the basement Criss and Sully meticulously planned their robbery while reviewing the blueprints of the bank that Sully had gotten a few days ago. Upstairs in the second floor Liliana was inside one of the rooms. She was looking at some kids playing ball through the window. Suddenly she heard a knock. She quickly turned around and saw Criss standing by the door.

" Hey, are you ok?" Criss asked in a gentle voice. Liliana just looked at him and gave him a faded smile, and turned back to what she was doing.
" Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" Criss asked her. But Liliana didn't respond, she didn't even make a sound. Criss interpreted her silence and left her alone. But as he was walking away, Liliana heard his footsteps coming back from the hallway,
"We need you in this; do you think you can handle it?" Criss asked while looking at her.
" Criss! Criss!" Sully suddenly shouted from downstairs.

Criss hesitated to go down, still hopelessly waiting for Liliana’s response.
He left momentarily and yelled, what sully? As he walked down the stairs.
Liliana rested her forehead on the window glass, and kept following the running children down on the street with her eyes for a little while.
She then walked to the bed and laid down. She rapidly began to feel tired until she felt asleep. She began to have those horrible dreams again of her kidnap. She heard voices and screams. There was a man yelling at her calling her names; insulting her. But she couldn’t see anything. She then began to drown she kept gasping for air in the darkness and then there was light, and the air came rushing down her throat. Suddenly she woke up panting. She sat on the bed and began to look around.

She kept wondering why she was having those dreams all the time. Then Criss came by the door and asked in a gently voice. “Are you ok?” Liliana began to pant and her eyes got watery. She swiftly rose from the bed and rush to the window. She kept banging it with her fist trying to brake it, but failed to when Criss came form behind and pulled her away from the window as she kept kicking and screaming. Sully who was down stairs heard the screams and immediately run upstairs. He saw Criss struggling with Liliana and stepped in to help him hold her down. In the midst of the madness sully asked,
“What’s going on Criss?!
Criss replied, “Just help me calm her down!”. Criss was grabbing her by the wrists while sully was struggling to hold her legs still. They remained that way for a while until Liliana slowly calmed down. The kicking and screaming eventually stopped but the panting persisted and tears kept flowing down her face.
