At Serenity Criss was in his office think of his July fourth party a few days ago. A knock came to the door and his girlfriend of less than a year was standing there. "Hey I thought you'd be with Angel right now"he stated as she walked in. "She's asleep I think we need to talk about what happened a few days ago" she stated. Before they started to talk Angel woke up and started to cry. "She's got my lungs"Criss muttered. They went to their room where Angel was in a bassinet on loan from Criss's brother JD. "What's the matter sweetie?"Alyson said pickign her up. "I know she needs a diaper change again" Criss remarked holding his nose.

I think you're right why don't you grab a diaper for me". Criss went over to the box of diapers and saw it was empty. "She went through all those diapers in a day and a half,"Criss stated shocked at it. "Now I know why people buy diapers in bulk". "Criss grab me a towel I'll use that until we get some diapers for her" Alyson suggested. Criss got a towel and Alyson made a diaper for Angel. "There we go sweetie"she said as Angel gurgled. "Way to go MacGyver" Criss remarked smiling. "What do you accept Criss I'm the oldest of a family that had Quads you had to get creative untill you could get more diapers"she replied. "I think I'll go get more before we run out of towels too"Criss stated. "Just hurry up". Criss got his keys and left.

After Criss picked up the diapers he went to talk to JD. At his house JD was enjoying a day to himself when a knock came to the door. He opened the door and saw it was Criss. "What's up why the house call?"JD asked. "I need to talk to you for a minute about Alyson and Angel". Criss came in and they sat down. "So what's bugging you?". "I'm not ready to be a father JD this is way too much to handle right now"Criss replied. "I wasn't either when I found out Lynn was pregnant"JD stated. "Yea but you had nine months to let it sink in me I had five minute from when I found out to when Angel was born" Criss remarked. "I know that it was a shock to you and Alyson that day but you have to deal with the fact you're a father. Now take a breath and get back to your daughter"JD stated. When Criss got home Alyson had fallen asleep on the couch with Angel nestled right nexto her asleep as well. Criss just smiled as he picked up his daughter.

When Angel woke up and just stared at her father with her ocean blue eyes it brought a smile to Criss's face. The next day Alyson woke up to find Angel wasn't in the bassinet. She got up and found Criss downstairs with Angel feeding her. "Christopher I thought you had to work today"she remarked as Criss burped her. "I decided to take some time off" he replied giving Angel to Alyson. "Maybe we get some baby stuff for Angel". "That's good why don't you wake up and have something to eat" Criss suggested. "All right but first Angel needs a change" and went upstairs as the door bell rang. Criss opened the door and saw Costa. "Nice look but I don't think the baby drool isn't in season yet" he joked. "Very funny what are you doing here anyway?" he asked. "I'm here to drive you to the meeting today". "I told JD to reschedule that I'm taking some time off to get to know my daughter"Criss replied. "Well you've got no choice Christopher we can't reschedule this late"Costa stated. "Costa just tell them I got food posioning and I'll call them to reschedule" Criss suggested. Costa took Criss outside and shut the door.

"Criss what the :mad: you need to do this meeting with these investors" Costa stated. "Costa I can't Alyson and I are going shopping for Angel. I need to step up I may have not known about this child before she was born but I'm not going to become one of those fathers who aren't there for their kids". Criss went back in and shut the door in Costa's face.. "What did Costa want?"Alyson inquired. "He forgot I rescheduled a meeting"Criss replied. At the store they were looking at cribs and changing tables. "I love this one Criss what do you think"Alyson stated. "I'm not sure if it's going to the right size for the nursery"Criss replied honestly. Maybe you're right"Alyson stated looking at it again. Then Angel started to cry. "I think someone's hungry I'm going to feed her I'll be right back".

As Criss looked around his memory started to remind him of something. In the bathroom Criss could hear Alyson throwing up. "Alyson you all right?" knocking on the door. He heard the toilet flush as she came out. "I'm fine I guess dinner isn't sitting well with me" she replied and sat down. "I don't know how to put this but considering what we did on Halloween do you think there could be a chance you could be pregnant"Criss inquired. "I don't know Criss maybe I should go get a test to make sure". "We'll go together" Criss stated and they left. When they got home Alysson took the test. "How long do we have to wait?". "A few minutes Criss what are we going to do if it's positive?". Criss didn't know what to say to that question. The timer went off and Alyson went into the bathrrom as Criss tried to stay calm. Alyson came out with a relieved face. "It's negative Christopher I'm not pregnant" she said. Criss breathed a sigh of relief as he gave Alyson a hug

Criss sat down and wondered if he had missed something that would gave him a hint that Alyson was pregnant or how far along she was. "Christopher". Criss looked up and saw his sister in law Lynn. Criss got up and walked over "Lynn what are you doing here don't tell me-". "Stop it right there Christopher I'm just shopping for a friend's baby shower now where's Alyson and the baby?". " Angel got hungry so Alyson's feeding her I swear Lynn I'm so confused how could a pregnancy test say negative when it should of been positive since Alyson was infact pregnant"Criss asked. "Could be a lot of things Criss sometimes they're not reiable she should of seen a doctor to make sure"she replied. "Lynn what a surprise to see you"Alyson stated coming over with Angel. "Oh my god is that Angel she's so cute"Lynn said. "And putting on weight she eats like a horse just like her father" Alyson stated. "And where Criss puts it we're still trying to figure it out" she replied as Alyson smiled. "Lynn it's strange that even thou I had this little baby inside me I never felt her move and my stomach didn't look like I swallowed a bowling ball like regular pregnant woman"Alyson said.

"But after that buffet we went to the night before Angel's surprise arrival you looked about four month pregnant"Criss admitted. "And you had a small budda belly that night too"Alyson added which made Lynn chuckle. "From what I learned in nursing school all pregnancy aren't the same. I'll see you later" and Lynn left. That night Alyson was outside thinking as Criss came out. "What are you doing out here?"Criss asked sitting next to her. "Do you love me the same way you did before Angel surprise arrival?" she asked. "Why would ask such a thing"Criss inquired surprised at the question. "I just got that vibe that you and I were drifting apart We went so fast with this relantionship I moved in a few days after we made Angel and July fourth rolls around and surprise we find out we're about to become parents" Alyson stated. "Are you saying you want to break up"Criss asked. "I don't know I'm just so confused about everything" she replied getting up. Criss walked over and put his hands on Alyson's shoulders.

"You're not the only one I-I mean we weren't ready for Angel's arrival but if you want to break up I'll understand and I promise I will be there for Angel"Criss remarked. Alyson gave Criss a hug than through the baby montioner Angel let out a huge scream.

Criss and Alyson ran up the stairs and saw Angel crying so loud her face had turned red. Alyson picked her up and felt her face. "Criss she's burning up!"Alyson called out in a fright. Criss felt her head as the baby kept screaming. "Come on let's bring her to the hospital and hope Lynn's on duty" Criss replied. Alyson held Angel close and went downstairs to the car. As Criss drove like a NASCAR driver thoughts of the unknown kept passing through his head. Dad if you can hear him please don't take her. At the hospital Lynn was in the ER. "Thanks for helping Lynn that food posioning really shorthanded us" the nurse remarked. "Thank god I'm allergic to shell fish" she replied. The sound of screching brakes caught Lynn's attention. She went outside and saw it Criss's car. "Criss what the-". Alyson got out with Angel screaming. "Lynn something's wrong with Angel she's screaming her lungs out and she's hot to the touch"Alyson stated.

"Come on Criss park the car or it's going to get towed"Lynn said. Criss got back in the car as Lynn and Angel ran into the emergency room. When Criss came back in Alyson's was sitting down. "What's going on?". "They're running some tests and taking x-rays. Oh god what if this is my fault if I just went to the doctor to make sure I was pregnant". Alyson started to cry as Criss hugged her. "Alyson it isn't your fault she's sick Angel probably has Acid Reflux or something simple"Criss hoped. As the time passed Criss and Alyson were worried sick about Angel and what she had. The door to the ER opened and Lynn came out. "Lynn how's Angel"Criss asked. "Not good she has an instestinal problem common in babies called Intussusception" she replied. "Is she going to be all right Lynn"Alyson asked. "I don't know yet but she's going to need surgery". Criss felt his heart fall into his stomach. "When can we see her?"Alyson asked. "Soon I'll come get you when you can"Lynn replied and went back in.

In the ER while they took Angel for some X-rays Lynn called JD. "Hey baby how's work?"he asked. "Good but Criss and ALyson are here Angel's sick and I think you should come down". "All right and I have a plan so they don't think you called me" and hung up. At the hospital Alyson had fallen asleep on some of the chairs while Criss was outside thinking. Then he saw JD's car pull up and getting out with a paper bag. "Christopher what are you doing here?"he asked surprised. "Don't tell me Lynn called you"Criss said. "No I thought I'd bring Lynn some dinner she was getting sick of burgers or soup. So what's wrong is Alyson all right?" he asked. "It's Angel she's got an intestinal problem called intussusception"Criss replied. JD gave his brother a hug. "Hey it's all right she's going to be all right".

They went in as Lynn came out of the ER. "Hey baby" giving him a kiss. "Here's a sandwich Criss told me about Angel"JD stated as Alyson sat up. "I talked to the doctor and they're going to take Angel into surgery so why don't you come with me so you can see her" They took a breath and walked in. They saw Angel was hooked to a monitor with a tube in her nose. "She's so quiet" as she looked at her daughter. "We gave her some medicine to relive some of the pressure in her tummy"Lynn replied. "Come on guys why don't we get something to drink or eat"JD suggested and they left. At the cafeteria they got some sandwiches and some water. After they finished Alyson looked outside the wndow as JD and Criss walked. "Alyson thinks this is her fault that Angel's sick" JD said. "Yea I kept telling her it isn't but she still thinks that because she didn't know she was pregnant"Criss replied. "Criss the doctors checked her over beside being a peanut weight wise she's a healthy baby girl"JD stated. "I know,"Criss remarked as he walked over to Alyson. "You all right Alyson do you want to go home and take a shower or something?". "No I want to be here for Angel when she come out of surgery"Alyson replied wiping away tears. Criss looked up at a television and saw the weather was on. "Alyson look at the weather it's going to be the same way it was when Angel came into our lives" as they remembered.

"Christopher are you sure you enough food for you Fourth of July party?" his mother asked. "I got enough to feed half of Las Vegas but I want you to becareful I don't want a repeat of last year you with heat stoke"Criss told his mother. "Where's Alyson?". "I'm right here Dimitra Criss do you have any tums down here?" she asked. 'Yea you all right?"he asked. "I think I just eat too much last night" she replied. As the party went on everyone was having fun expect Alyson who was still having stomach issues and Criss could tell. "You all right?"he asked walking over. "No my stomach is really starting to hurt" she replied. "Why don't you go inside and relax?"Criss suggested. As Alyson got up the pain hit hard and she grabbed her stomach. She laid back down and Criss saw the pain in her face. "LYNN!!"Criss yelled. "What's wrong?"she asked coming over. "My stomach it hurts"she stated. Then Criss and Lynn saw some clear fluid falling onto the ground. "Alyson could you be pregnant?"Lynn asked as she put a towel over her legs. "No". "Lynn what's going on?"Criss asked paniced. "Alyson is in labor and her water just broke so you two better get ready you're about to become parents". "Come on everyone inside right now!!" JD called out and everyone went in as Dimitra came out of the ladies's room. "What's going on why is everyone coming?" she asked. "Alyson's about to have a baby and I didn't think she wanted an audience"JD stated. "I'm calling an amblunce"Dimitra said. Outside Lynn saw the baby crowning. "All right Alyson push the head's crowning!!" she called out. Everyone waited inside untill they heard a baby cry. Dimitra went out as Alyson was holding the baby. "What is it Christopher?"she asked. "It's a girl mom!!"he replied. The crowd cheered as an amblunce could be heard in the distance. "What should we call her Criss?". Criss looked at the baby and at her eyes. "Angel"Criss replied.

Alyson wiped the tears from her face as she turned to look at Criss. "And no matter what happens tonight good or bad it's nobody's fault"Criss statecd and Alyson gave Criss a hug. "Christopher" a voice called out. They turned and saw Lynn walk in. "So how's Angel?"Alyson asked. "She's all right the surgery went great" she replied. Criss and Alyson hugged as JD hugged Lynn. "Thanks sweetie"she whispered. "You're wlecome" JD said back quietly. "Can we see her Lynn?" Criss asked. "Not right now she needs to wake up from the surgery so why don't you guys go home get some rest and I'll give you a call for when you can see her"Lynn suggested. When Criss and Alyson got back they sat down. "Thank god Angel's going to be all right" Criss said heaving a sigh of relief. "Criss"Alyson remarked. "Yea"Criss replied sitting up.

"I was thinking of what we were talking about before Angel got sick". "About us breaking up"Criss remarked. "Yea did you mean what you said about being there for Angel like a real father should"she inquired looking at him. "Alyson I meant every word I wouldn't denine Angel is my daughter or you were her mother. I love her with all my heart and if you want to break up I won't force you to stay. I'll be there for Angel I'll even pay child surport for my daughter" Criss replied. Alyson and Criss talked for hours and they decided to break up but remind friends and parents to their daughter. A few months went by and Criss was talking with the guys. "So what's up for tonight?" JD asked. "How about we go to Criss's place and watch the Yankees beat the Rangers?" Gerard suggested. "Sorry boys I got someone coming over tonight and she's should be here soon" Criss replied putting on his jacket. "Who's coming over another playmate" Doug joked.

"No I've got an Angel coming and I see her coming in" and Criss left. Over near the foundation Alyson was sitting there as Criss walked over. "Hey Criss" she remarked giving him a hug. "How's our little Angel doing?" he asked. "She's doing good". Criss bent down and took a look at Angel who was sleeping. "Thanks for letting me take her tonight"Criss remarked. "It's no problem Criss I want you to be apart of Angel's life as much as you can and when your mom comes down give me a call and I'll bring her down"Alyson stated. She gave Criss the diaper bag. "I'll see you tomorrow Criss before you go to Believe to pick her up" Alyson said. "Bye Alyson" and she left.
