It was a rainy day in Las Vegas which wasn't a great way to start a vacation but what can you do he may know how to make things vanish but Criss couldn't control the weather. He started upstairs to watch some television when the phone rang. "Hello,"he stated. Nobody answered. "CT if this is a joke I'm not laughing". The line went dead thinking it was a bad joke he hung up the phone and went upstairs. In a hotel near the strip a woman was hanging up the phone. Tears fell down her face as the door opened and a man came in with some hamburgers. "Melina what's wrong?"he asked putting down the burgers. "I-I-called him I heard his voice Nicholas"she replied wiping the tears away. "Did you say anything?". "I couldn't I went blank so I hung up. Nicholas we're so close". He gave her a hug. That night JD and Costa came over to watch The Mets Yankee game at Serenity. As Criss wait he just looked out the window as the rain fell. "Yo Criss"A voice called out. He turned around as Costa came in shaking the rain off his coat. "Don't you knock anymore?" Criss asked walking over. "Not since you gave me a key" Costa joked.

"Where's JD?" Criss asked as Costa hung up his jacket. "He finally got up the courage to go see his mom"Costa replied. "It seems weird to hear that he's visiting his mother considering the one who adopted us we call mom"Criss remarked. When John and Dimitra got married Dimitra found out she couldn't have children so they decided to adopt three boys Joseph, Costa, and Christopher. When they were old enough to understand Dimitra and John told them that they were adopted and they wouldn't be insulted if they wanted to find their biological parents. JD found his mom living in Florida, Costa was looking but no bites but for Christopher he didn't want to find his parents. "So how's that PI working?" Criss asked giving him a beer. "He found out that my mom lived in Ohio but left before she had me in New York. JD told me you don't want to find your parents". "I feel like I'm betraying the people that raised us when our real ones didn't want to"Criss replied.

"Come on Criss mom and dad both said that they wouldn't be insulted if we wanted to find out the truth about who our parents were. JD found out his mother gave him up because his father died in the Korean War and she wasn't ready to raise a baby on her own. From what my PI told me my mom was seventeen and my father didn't want a baby so my mom was forced to give me up considering it wasn't realistic for a seventeen year old to be a mother" Costa replied. "It's just that I don't want to know nor will I ever I wouldn't care if they knocked at my door with proof that said they were my parents"Criss stated. "So you think that they didn't want you so that's why they gave you up in your mind"Costa said. "Maybe come on the game's starting" and they went upstairs. The next day the sun came out and Criss decided to take a motorcycle ride to clear his mind about the conversation he had with Costa. As he drove Criss saw a woman flagging him down. "Need some help?"Criss asked stopping. "Yea our car blew a tire and I really don't know how to change one" she remarked.

Criss walked over and saw a man sitting in the front and a wheelchair in the back. "Let's see if I can help you,"Criss stated. Criss showed the lady how to jack it up and get off the tire. "Looks like you ran over some glass". "I told you Nick we ran over something"the lady replied. "So where are you guys from?" Criss asked getting the spare. "Los Angeles orginally"Nick stated. "And I guess you're the one in the wheelchair"Criss said. "Yea car accident broke my spinal colum in half"he replied. Criss put the tire on and jacked down the car. "There you go". "Thank you I feel so silly"the lady remarked. "Don't worry nice to meet you-". "Melina Trump and you are?". "Christopher" as they shook hands. "Nice to meet you Christopher" Nick stated shaking Criss's hand too. "Nice to meet you both and becareful of glass"Criss replied and drove off as the people waved good-bye.

When Criss got back to his house a taxi had pulled up. Criss wasn't expecting anyone and he knew that his adoptive mother Dimitra decided to go to Greece with his Aunt Stella. The taxi door opened and saw it was his neice Dimitra. "Dimi what are you doing here?"he inquired walking over. Even thou Dimitra was heading to college this year everyone still saw her as a little kid. "I asked mom and dad if I could fly back and stay with you. Don't tell me dad didn't tell you"she remarked. "I've been out all day I probably missed the call come on in". Criss opened the door and they came in. "Thanks for doing this Uncle Criss it just felt so weird down there"she replied. "Meeting your biological grandmother for the first time"he replied as they sat in the kitchen. "I know that dad's adopted and he wanted to introduce us to the woman who gave him life" Dimi remarked.

"Well don't forget considering your parents had trouble having kids they adopted you" Criss reminded her. "Do you want to find your parents Uncle Criss"Dimi asked. "I don't know I know they're probably out there looking for me but-". "But what uncle Criss" she asked sitting down. "Never mind" Criss replied. That night as Dimitra slept Criss looked through some mail that came while he was out. "Let's see bills, bills, nice I may have already won a million dollars" Criss said to himself. As he threw away the junk mail he saw a small envelope. He looked at it and it was adressed to him. Criss opened it and saw it was a letter and it said:

CHRIS,

YOU MAY NOT KNOW ME BUT FORTY-ONE YEARS AGO I MADE THE HEART WRENCHING DEICISION TO GIVE YOU UP FOR ADOPTION. I KNOW THAT YOU THINK THAT I'M A BAD MOTHER BUT I WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU AND TALK . I KNOW WHAT A SUCCESS YOU'VE BECOME WITH MAGIC. I KNOW THAT YOU MAY HAVE SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT WHY I GAVE YOU UP AND SOME OTHER STUFF SO PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT AND WRITE ME BACK IF YOU WANT TO TALK

Criss looked on the back of the envelope and saw an address but nothing else. The phone rang so Criss got up and saw it was JD. "Hey JD how's Palms Springs?" he asked. "Good where were you today I tried calling you on your cell but it kept going to voice mail and you weren't picking up at the house". "JD take a breath I went for a ride and Dimi is here safe and sound asleep in mom's guest room" he replied. "Good". "JD you won't believe this I've been contacted" Criss said. "What a PI came to the house telling your real mom want to see you" JD inquired. "No she wrote me a letter but there's an address on it that I don't know". "Criss I know that you didn't want to know about why you were giving up so was I but when the time comes to meet dad at the pearly gates do you want to regret not knowing your past"JD asked as Criss looked at the letter.

After talking with his brother he put the letter in a drawer and went to bed. The next morning Criss woke up to hear splashing in the pool. He went downstairs and saw Dimi swimming around like a fish. "Sometimes I think your parents adopted a fish"Criss called out as Dimi turned around. "Very funny Uncle Criss," as Dimi got out and walked over to him. "Uncle Criss do you think it's wrong of me to ask my mom and dad about my real mom and dad" she inquired. "Dimi if you want to know about your real mom and dad I'd ask them". "I'm afraid to I feel like I'm going to hurt their feelings" she stated. "Don't think that way Dimi just talk to your mom and dad when they get back"he stated "Uncle Criss you all right you look a little green like you're about to throw-up". "I'm fine so I have to make a phone call in my office so if you need me knock on the door" he asked. "All right". Criss turned and saw his niece just sitting out in the sun. Criss went to his office and made a call. "Hello Robert Starr PI".

"Hey Robert it's Christopher Costa's brother". "Christopher Costa thought you might call ready to find out about your past" he asked. "Yea my niece showed me the light I got a letter from I think my mom it has an address but nothing much"Criss replied looking at the letter. "Criss I've had less to work with and found what I needed I'll come over later and get it. I already told JD this but his daughter called me wanting to hire me to find her parents as well" he replied. "God my family is giving you the business" Criss said. "Don't I know it"Robert said giggling. "JD and Lynn know who Dimi's real parents are so you can forget about her". "All right but if Lynn wants to find them give me a call". "She doesn't have to go far but thanks for the offer" Criss remarked and hung up. After he hung up Criss took out a picture of him and a woman.

That afternoon Criss and Dimi had lunch. "Uncle Criss did you know the people who gave me up?". "Yea they were both high school graduates who weren't ready to be parents"he stated pushing his lunch to the side. "You all right Uncle Criss?"she asked. "Yea just saving the rest for dinner"he replied. "Uncle Criss do you think of why you were giving up to be adopted by grandmom and grandpa"she asked. "They were times where I was angry at them for not keeping me but I know that if they didn't I wouldn't of had the life I was giving by your grandparents"Criss stated. "I see we're having family luncheon" a voice said. "Uncle Costa how are you" giving Costa a kiss. "I'm good so what are you guys talking about?" he asked. "Just talking about my real parents"Dimi stated.

"Dimi why don't you go pick out an outfit on me"Criss suggested giving her his credit card. She gave Criss a kiss. "Just don't bankrupt him Dimi"Costa replied as she left. "Don't tell me you told her the truth about her real parents". "Just that they were high school graduates who weren't ready for parent hood"Criss remarked as a taste of bile was in his mouth. "Do you think JD will tell her who her real parents". "I don't know"Criss said. The phone rang and Criss saw it was Robert. "Hey Robert what you got for me"."Well the address on the card is in Ashville"he said. "Ashville so do you have a name or do I need to pull it out of you". "Your mother's name is Melina Monatag" Robert remarked. "What about my dad?" he asked. "Unfortunely she didn't list your father that's all I have but I'll call you when I have more". "Thanks" and hung up. "What did Robert want?"Costa asked. "Yesterday I got a letter from my birth mom I think she wants to meet me" Criss remarked looking at his brother. "That good". "I have to stop by the office to sign something so I'll be right back" Criss said. "I'll go find Dimi and make sure she doesn't send into bankruptcy".

Criss laughed as Costa left. After Criss finished he met Dimi and Costa at the door. "So did you find what you were looking for?" Criss inquired. "Yea and just to let you know I didn't bankrupt you" Dimi stated giving the card back. "Good" Criss replied. As they were leaving the two people Criss helped came in. "Christopher nice to see you again"Nick said. "Hey Nick what's going on?"Criss asked shaking his hand. "Just seeing if you brought us some good luck"Melina replied smiling. "Well I hope you win something"Criss remarked and they left. "Who were those people?" Costa asked. "Just two people I helped yesterday"Criss replied. They got into the car and left. At the house Criss was outside while Costa spent some time with Dimi when a knock came to the door. He opened the door and standing there was Robert.

"Hey Robert what's up?". "I have some good news I found your mother". Criss let him in as they sat down. "This is the only picture of your mother I could find" he replied. Criss looked at it. "She looks like she's in her twenties" Criss replied. "Exactually she was thirty three when this was taking"he stated. "Did you find anything about my father?" Criss asked. "No the only thing I found out is that Melina has a brother who did time for attempted murder but his verdict was overturned when they realized he was protecting his sister" Robert said. "Does it say why my mom gave me up?" Criss inquired. "That's something you should ask her yourself Christopher but there's some bad news the address you gave me is now a garage but I was told that it use to be an apartment complex until they tore it down" he said. "I guess my mom finally got the courage to send a letter that she'd been wanting to send me" Criss replied looking at the picture. "Don't worry Criss I've never let a client down yet and when you see Costa tell him to call me I have some information on his mom and dad". With that Robert left leaving Criss with more questions than answered.

A week passed and Criss was back at work. "God this vacation went by fast" Criss said to JD. "Didn't it so I heard from Costa you got some information on your birth mom". "Yea but Costa found out some stuff about his mother. It seems she was a teenage mother forced to give Costa up when he was born" Criss said. "Yea I also heard she passed away from a stroke a few years back" JD added. "You want to hear the good part she left Costa some stuff in her will for him". "That's nice"JD stated sitting. "But we have a problem Dimi wants to know about her parents"Criss remarked. JD leaned back into his chair. "I really didn't want this day to come" he said. "I think mom and dad probably thought the same thing when we wanted to find out about our birth parents but considering Dimi's I don't know how she'll take it".

"I remember dad telling me when we adopted Dimi that he didn't want Dimi to know the truth of her parents but she needs to know like we did" JD said. "I know so when do you want to tell her"Criss asked. "I'm going to talk to Lynn before we make any decision. Costa told me you told a white lie to Dimi". "Yea I didn't go into specifics with her but I hate lieing makes me literally sick to my stomach" Criss replied. "No wonder when you told a lie at home you get a stomch ache or you'd throw up depending on bad the lie was"JD stated.

When Criss got home he found Dimi sitting at his front door with tears coming down her face. "Dimitra what are you doing here?" he asked sitting next to her. "I had a fight with mom and dad. I kept pushing them about knowing my real parents but they still won't tell me than we started arguing back and forth before I knew I ran out" she remarked wiping the tears away. Criss gave his niece a hug. "First let's call them before they start thinking the worest" he suggested and they went in. While Dimi called her parents Criss sat outside thinking. Just sign on the dotted line Mr Sarantokas echoed in his mind. "Uncle Criss". Criss sat up wiping away some tears himself. "You all right Uncle Criss". "Yea just got something in my eye so what did your parents say" he asked.

"They want me to come home but since it's late I kind of convice them to let me stay here for the night"she stated. Criss chuckled. "I swear Dimitra you are good at getting your way sometimes" he remarked. "Uncle Criss I know that I shouldn't ask but do you know anything else about my parents?"she asked. "Not really only what your father told me". Criss's stomach started to gurgle. "You all right?" she asked. "Yea just getting an upset stomach I guess dinner isn't sitting well"Criss replied. "I'm going to get ready for bed good night Uncle Criss" and gave hin a hug. After she left Criss ran over to the sink and threw up.

The next day Criss had lunch with Lynn and JD. "I know why you invited us to lunch Christopher"Lynn stated. "Guys I know we made a promise to dad when he died that Dimitra would never know the truth but I think she's old enough to understand" Criss said. "And what if she doesn't Criss I can't handle it if my daughter runs off and I never see her again" Lynn remarked. "Let's not go crazy Lynn maybe Criss is right. I think she deserves to know the truth as much as Criss, Costa, and I deserved to know about our past" JD said. "I don't know". "Lynn we've been in Dimitra's shoes we wanted to know the truth about our parents that gave us up to be adopted by our adoptive parents" Criss said. "All right Criss we'll tell Dimi the truth tonight at your place"Lynn stated. When Criss got back to his officer he saw Nick rolling past his production office. "Hey Criss nice to see you again I got to say you gave us some luck I won three hundred at the black jack table and my sister won a jackpot at one of the slot machines tweleve hundred dollars" he replied.

"Maybe she'll lend you some to pimp out the wheelchair" Criss joked which made Nick laughed. "Funny before I forget I saw this on the floor address to you" giving him an envelope. "Thanks Nick" and he rolled off as Criss went in. He opened it and it was another letter that said:

CHRISTOPHER,

I KNOW YOU PROBABLY HAVE A PI LOOKING FOR ME AND BELIEVE ME CONSIDERING WHY I GAVE YOU UP I'M WONDERING IF I SHOULD LET YOUR PI FIND ME INSTEAD OF PLAYING CAT AND MOUSE. YOU'VE GROWN UP TO BE A GOOD MAN AND I'M GLAD THAT THE ONLY THING YOU GOT FROM YOUR FATHER WAS THE COLOR OF YOUR HAIR AND HIS HEIGHT. MAYBE SOMEDAY I'LL GET UP THE COURAGE TO SEE YOU FACE TO FACE INSTEAD OF JUST LISTENING TO YOUR VOICE ON THE PHONE.

Criss wiped away some tears as JD came in. "What's with the tears?". "I just got another letter from my mom I've got this feeling that she doesn't want to be found and the way she talks about my father is like she doesn't want to remember him" Criss remarked. "Criss I think there's a reason she doesn't talk about your father"JD replied sitting down. "What's that?"Criss asked. "Your father probably attacked her". "Wait a minute are you saying that I maybe a product of a sexual assault"Criss replied. "Maybe that's the reason she gave you up because you reminded her of that night when she was assaulted" JD suggested.

After talking to JD the thought of what JD suggested kept swimming in Criss's head. "Christopher" A voice called out. He turned around and saw Dimitra. "Mom what are you doing here I thought you were in Greece" giving her a hug. "I got a call from Lynn telling me you're going to tell Dimi the truth about her parents" she replied as they walked into the production office. "It's time mom Lynn, JD and I want to tell her the truth"Criss replied as they sat down. "Are you sure you're ready for this?"she asked. "Mom I know you and dad didn't want this day to come but it's like what JD, Costa, and I are doing trying to find out more about our past" Criss remarked. "But hers isn't as complicated as yours, JD's or Costa's"she replied.

"Mom you know how my body reacts to lieing. Telling Dimi these lies is literally making me sick to my stomach she wants to know so let her"Criss stated. "All right but I want to be there" she said. "Why don't I invite the whole crew and tape it,"Criss suggested as Dimitra slapped him. "I'm kidding mom". That night Criss was thinking in his room when Costa came in. "Nervous about what's going to happen". "A little" looking at a picture. Costa took the picture and looked at it. "Is this Dimi's mom?" he asked. "Yea too bad she didn't live to see what Dimitra became" Criss remarked. "How she die?"Costa inquired giving the pitcure back. "Killed herself a few weeks after she gave up Dimi she hung herself in a hotel room"Criss replied. "Christopher Lynn, JD and Dimi are here"Dimitra called out. "Let's go" and they went down. On the couch Dimi was sitting there as Lynn and JD hung up their jackets. "Mom and dad told me you know more about my real parents uncle Criss"Dimi remarked. "Yea for one thing I lied about them being high school graduates they didn't meet untill a few years later. This is the only picture of your mother I have" giving it to her. "What's her name?"Dimi asked. "Celine she was from Canada I think" JD remarked. "She's beautiful what about my father?". Criss felt like he was about to throw up when she said that. "Your father how can I say this"JD stated as Criss sat down. "Don't tell me he's in jail for hurting my mother"she asked. "No your real father is still alive"Costa said looking at Criss. "So tell me unless my mom didn't know him" she stated. "She knew him Dimi" Lynn said. "So tell me" as Criss took a breath. "He's right here Dimi" Criss stated.

"I don't understand"Dimi remarked confused. "I'm your birth father Dimitra" Criss replied. Dimi seemed more confused. "I met Celine while I was getting my magic career off the ground we dated for I think three months than we broke up. Two months went by and she came back to tell me she was pregnant and I was the father,"Criss stated. Tears fell down her face as JD sat next to Dimi. "When I came home to tell the family about you JD was there telling mom and dad that Lynn couldn't have a baby I decided there that JD and Lynn would be better parents to you than I could ever be". "Did my real mother want to keep me?" Dimi inquired. "At first yea but I knew she couldn't take care of you so we decided to let JD and Lynn adopt you when you were born"Criss remarked. "When Criss told us about Celine and you coming your grandfather was ready to kill Christopher or make a Criss a woman putting it nicely"JD stated as Criss crossed his legs.

"But after telling him what Christopher and Celine wanted to do he changed his mind about killing him"her grandmother said looking at Criss. "Were you there when I was born Uncle Criss"she asked. Criss nodded. "Yea JD and Lynn were there too see you come into the world"Criss replied. "But I let Criss cut the cord and hold you before he gave you to us to raise"JD stated. "Was it hard to see me considering I'm your daughter Uncle Criss"she asked. "The first few months was difficult I stayed away whenever Lynn brought you over but when JD made me your god father I knew I had to let those feelings go or cut my family out of my life"Criss replied honestly. "What happened to my mother is she still alive"Dimi inquired. "She died a few weeks after you were born. Doctors said that was a serve case of Post Parturm Depression,"Lynn replied. Dimi got up and went outside.

"Dimitra" but JD sat his wife down. "Just give her some time she needs to process this"JD remarked. Criss got up and went up to his room. He sat on his bed and let the tears fall. A knock came to the door and Costa came in. "Mom wanted to know if you're all right?"he asked. "Just needed a little time to myself" wiping the tears away. "Truthfully was it hard to see JD raise your daughter?" Costa inquired. "Yea seeing her grow up and seeing bits of me in her it just made me want to take her back but I knew it wouldn't be fair to either JD or Lynn. I wasn't ready to be a father but Lynn and JD wanted a child so bad they would of done anything it was a good idea to let JD and Lynn adopt her" Criss replied wiping the tears away. "Dad was proud of you to make such a difficult decision like that" Costa remarked. "Well it was either that or change my name to Christine" Criss stated snickering.

Outside Dimi was trying to process the information she was giving. Knowing that her uncle was really her father was something that never came to mind. "Dimitra you all right?". She turned and saw her grandmom. "Yea it's just so difficult to understand what I've been told. To find out that the uncle you're so close to is really your father" she remarked as she sat down. "Dimi Christopher wanted what was best for you and he knew how much your parents wanted to start a family so he knew that he was giving you up to the right people" she stated. "Did Uncle Criss give me up out of guilt or that grandpa wanting to change Uncle Criss's gender" Dimi asked with a bit of a giggle. "Well your grandfather was angry at Criss for what he did. Criss knew there were two opitions give you up or marry Celine but I knew Criss and Celine weren't ready for that step. Celine thought she could be a good mother with out Criss". "But Uncle Criss knew she couldn't be"Dimi stated.

"Celine was what you call a free spirit and Criss was afraid Celine wouldn't change her ways once she became a mother so it took some time but Criss made her see that giving you up would be the best for you. He was right JD and Lynn did so well with you but as Criss said it was difficult to see someone raise you considering you were his daughter". As Dimi talked to her grandmother Criss came down. "Everything all right out there?" he asked. "So far Criss I know that is was hard to give up Dimi to me and JD. If I didn't say it than I'll say it now you made the best decision to let me and JD adopt her" giving him a hug. "Too bad Celine couldn't see what her daughter became"Criss stated. "Criss did Celine have any relatives like a brother or parents"Lynn asked. "I asked Celine but she never said anything and when she died I was the one who had to claim the body so god only knows" Criss replied as they watched Dimi hug her grandmother.

The next day when Criss arrived at The Luxor Robert was waiting for him at the officer. "Robert are you like a ghost or something?"Criss inquired. "Very funny Sarantakos but I found out something. It seems your adoption wasn't finilized untill March 19 1968" showing Criss some paper work. "But I was born December 19th 1967 and I know that it takes may be thirty days for the adoption to be finilzed why did it take so long for mine"Criss stated a little confused. "And I found out the man your uncle killed was your father a Samual Littleton". After Robert left Dimitra came over. "You wanted to talk to me Christopher?"she asked sitting down. "Yea I just talked to Robert why did my adoption take so long to be finilized considering when JD and Lynn adopted Dimi it took thirty days"he asked.

"The night you were born your father and I were watching TV when we got a call from your birth mother it seems she went into labor early too early. When we got there you were all ready born but you couldn't breath on your own. Doctors didn't think you'd live long enough to see your actually due date". "I found out my real father is dead and that my uncle killed him do you know why?"Criss asked. His mother rolled her eyes. "Come on mom I"m not a little kid anymore I can take it". "Your birth father was the reason you were born early he wasn't happy that your mother was giving you up so he tried to make sure you wouldn't be giving to us one way or another"she stated.

Criss's jaw fell to the floor. "My birth father beat my mom so bad she went into labor"Criss replied in shock. Dimitra nodded. "If her brother didn't involve himself you probably wouldn't be here. When we found out what had happened and what Nicholas had done by saving her and you we decided to use his name as your middle name," she replied. Criss couldn't believe what he was just told it just knocked him for a loop. "You all right Christopher?". "Yea it's just that I understand a little of why she never mentioned my birth father in her letters" showing them to her. "Well I hope that some day you and Melina do meet because I see a lot of her in you" and his mother left. That afternoon Criss was sitting in Believe for what he called his quiet time but it was just his way of letting his mind wonder with nobody to brother him. The door opened quietly as Criss just layed on the stage.

When the door slammed shut Criss heard it. "Who's there?" he called out. Nobody answered so Criss got up and went up the stairs. When he got to the door he saw it was the woman he helped change a tire for. "Melina what are you doing in here?" he asked. "I snuck in just to see your theater than I saw you just laying on the stage". Then Criss saw something in her hand. "What's in your hand Melina?". Melina sighed. "I guess I shouldn't hide it anymore. I'm your birth mother Christopher"she stated. "Why all the cloak and dagger stuff" he asked. "I was scared about how you'd react" she replied. "Melina when my parents told me about being adopted and that they would help me and my brothers find out more about our parents I was nervous at first but I've been on the other end too. When they told me I was pregnant I knew I couldn't raise you in that environment but I wasn't sure if I should give you up it wasn't untill I met your adoptive mom". "Yes Dimitra told me that she wanted to add one more child to her family so I talked to her and decided there that she'd be the perfect person to raise you. I left your father and I was going to stay with your uncle untill you were born".

"But my father found you" Criss said. Tears fell down her face. "I don't know how but he did and when he saw I was pregnant he ordered me to come back but I told him I wasn't and that he would never see you because I was going to let someone adopt you. He went crazy I don't remember some of the stuff he did but when I woke up I was in the hospital Dimitra was right next to me. She told me that they had to deliver you or we would of both died. I asked if you were alive and you were. When I was strong enough I saw you in that little incubator fighting to stay alive. I found out later that my brother kill your father to save me" she replied wiping tears from her face. "Did you kept in touch with my adoptive parents". "Yea but it got too tough for me to see you so I decided to live my life. I met a great guy and got married, but because of what your father did I couldn't have anymore children but we adopted twins and a boy who are tweleve and eighteen" and showed Criss a picture.

"In the middle are Wendy and Linda and next to them is our oldest Fredrick he's a straight A student heading to college this year and Wendy and Linda are great at gymanstics and dance. Linda is even a fan of yours". Criss chuckled. "Do they know about me?" Criss asked. "I told them that I gave up a child when I was young so they know they have another family member out there. If you want to you can meet them" she suggested. "How long have you been looking for me?"Criss asked. "When Linda became of fan of yours she showed me a picture of you and I knew just by your face that you were the child I gave up and it was confirmed when I saw Dimitra on your show a few times"She stated.

As they were talking Dimitra saw them and just watched as Costa walked over. "What are you watching mom?" he asked. "The woman Criss is talking to is his birth mother" she replied. "How do you know mom?"Costa inquired. "You never forget the person who gave you their child to raise"she replied smiling. Melina and Criss got up and hugged than she left as Criss sat down wiping some tears from his face. "You all right bro?"Costa asked as they walked over. Criss looked up and saw Costa and his mom. "Yea it just feel weird knowing a little of my past"Criss replied. "So how does it feel to meet your mom?"she asked. "Good she told me about what happened, why she gave me up, and that she has other kids she adopted" showing them the picture. "So are you happy that you found your birth mother Christopher?" Dimitra asked. "Yea".

"What's wrong Christopher you look nervous?"Costa asked. "I'm worried that a part of my father may come out the part that made my mom give me up"he replied. "Criss you can't worry what god or gentics gave you. When I talked to some of the people that knew my mom she lost a child to ALS and my father died of brain aneurysm am I nervous that my muscles will shut down or I may drop dead because the lining of a blood wall popped; a little but it's apart of us" Costa explain. A week had gone by and Criss was talking to his girlfriend Sandra. For some reason the converison went into a shouting match and Criss pushed Sandra to the floor. Criss felt the urge to hit her but when he saw Sandra on the ground he stopped and went outside. At JD's house JD and Lynn were packing a few things with Dimi for college when the phone rang. "Hello-Criss what's wrong-yea all right" and hung up. "What does Criss want?"Lynn asked. "He needs to talk to me about something" and left. At the house Sandra had left while Criss sat outside when JD came in the back way. "All right Criss what's going on?". "I don't know I have never felt that way before if I didn't catch myself I would of hit Sandra" Criss stated shaking a little. "Why would you have the urge to hit Sandra was the fight that intense?" as he walked over to Criss who looked scared out of his mind. "I got it from my birth father he abused my birth mom that's the reason she let mom and dad adopt me,"Criss replied wiping the tears away.

JD sat next to Criss. "JD what am I going to do what if I can't control that urge and I hit a woman". "Criss relax what your mom did was brave to give you a better life than the one you might of had. She didn't want you to be abused by a man that hurt her so bad you were born three months early"JD stated. "Yea I just hope I can control that urge so I don't end up like my father"Criss said. "Yea whenever I needed to think I'd find somewhere quiet and let my mind wonder. I guess your sister told you that she decided to tell the truth to me" Criss said walking over. "Yea I got to say Criss my sister made the right decision on giving you up. If she didn't you'd probably would of ended up either in foster care or worse six feet under" he stated. "Did you mean to kill my father or was it an accident?"Criss asked. "I saw what your father was doing to Melina. She was trying so hard to protect you while you were inside her so I grabbed a bat and hit Richard so he stopped I must of hit too hard because I broke the part of the spine where your head and neck meet killing him instantly. At first I thought I knocked him out so I called an amblunce for your mom". "But why did you go to jail you were protecting my mom and I?" Criss asked.

"The lawyers didn't see it that way. They saw it as manslaughter but to avoid life I took a plea with a chance of parol. The day of my parol hearing thou the car that was transporting me flipped when I woke up I couldn't feel anything below my waist but when I saw that one of the officers was bleeding bad I took off my shirt, dragged myself over and used all my upper body strength to put pressure on his leg. A few days later they told me my back was broking and I was paraylzed for the rest of my life"he replied. "So how did you get out did they grant you parol?"Criss asked. "No the officer that I saved has a brother that's a lawyer he looked over my case and found out that it was justifiable and that I shouldn't of gone to jail so they let me out".

After talking to Nick Criss was heading to his car when he saw Dimitra. "Mom what are you still doing here?"he asked. "I wanted to talk to you about the party JD and Lynn are having for Dimitra tomorrow" she replied. "Count me out mom I'm busy"he stated. "Christopher you're doing it again" Dimitra stated. Criss looked at her. "What do you mean?"he asked. "You're avoiding you did it when Lynn brought Dimitra over to the house as a baby and you're doing it now. Christopher I know you still wonder what would of happened if you didn't give Dimitra up. I could tell than you knew that JD and Lynn wanted to start a family". "What I don't understand is this feeling of what if. Maybe Celine would of cleaned up her act she did when she was pregnant but if Celine kept Dimitra maybe she would of stopped" Criss said. "Christopher she wasn't going to stop after Dimitra was born. Dimitra would of either died or ended up somewhere worse. What you did was the best".

"Yea but it cost Celine her life" and Criss left. At her house Dimi was outside when JD came outside. "Dimitra dinner". He saw Dimi had a paper in her hand. "When were you going to tell me about my mother and her past" she asked not looking at him. "What do you mean?" JD stated. "That she was an addict was she using when I was inside her" she asked as she turned around . JD didn't know what to say. "I want the truth!!!" she yelled. "All right Dimi let me give someone a call" and went back inside. At his house Criss was swaying in his hammock looking at the lights of Vegas when his cell phone rang. "Yea" he said. "Criss it's time to come clean about Celine". "Why let Dimi think of her birth mother as a person who wanted to give her a better life than be forced to give her up because she was an addict"Criss replied. Criss got up and grabbed the keys to his car. When he got there JD was waiting for him. "She out on the porch" he said and Criss took a breath. "Dimi"Criss stated coming out. "Why didn't you tell me about Celine being an addict"she asked not looking at him. "We all thought it was best to keep that part out". She turned around. "Was she using when she was pregnant with me?"she asked. "No I told Celine she had to stay clean for Lynn and JD to adopt you. We had her followed everytime she went out with her friend just to make sure she stayed clean". "Did you really declare her unfit to raise me?" Dimi asked. "When she was about eight months I caught her about to do drugs. She told me that she changed her mind that she was going to keep her. I knew that wasn't right because she wasn't going to stay clean to take care of you so I went to court and they declared her unfit and when you were born I would have the right to either keep you or put you up for adoption" Criss remarked.

"Did she really have PPD?"she asked. "Yea after you were born and the adoption went through she went off the medication the doctors gave her for the PPD. Then I got a call telling me they needed me to come down because Celine had hung herself and left a note saying I'm sorry Chris,"he remarked. Dimi wiped the tears from her face. "Dimi everything that happened when we found out you were coming was for you. We wanted you in our family and even thou I'm your birth father doesn't mean your adoptive parents don't love you too". "I get it it's just everything I'm finding out about my birther mother it freaked me out thinking I could have a chromosne missing or I could have a disorder" she remarked. "Dimi we had you checked out just incase Celine did do drugs and you are normal expect for being straight A student and being on the honor role. After talking with Dimitra Criss went back to Serenity. When he got there Sandra was waiting for him. "Sandra". "Hey I wanted to see how you were and if you calmed down after this morning" she stated. "Sandra I have to apologize what you saw today was a side of myself that I got from my birth father". "I don't understand Criss"Sandra remarked with a confused look on her face. Criss took a breath. "I'm adopted Sandra and a few days ago I got to meet my birth mother and what she told me has thrown me for such a loop that I feel like I need a GPS just to get back to where I was" Criss stated. "That doesn't explain what happened this morning Criss you looked ready to hurt me" she remarked. "Let's go inside and I'll explain" and they went inside. They both sat down in the living room. "I found out that my birth father was abusive towards my mom. My mom didn't want me raised in that kind of enviromonment so she decided to give me up for adoption. She decided not to tell my father about my impending arrival so she went to stay with her brother untill the adoption would be finalized"Criss stated.

"What happened next Criss" she asked. Tears started to fall down his face. "My father found out somehow and decided if he couldn't have me than nobody could so he beat my mom so bad that they no choice but to deliver me" Criss replied. "So you were born early". "Yea three months early to be exact"Criss replied wiping the tears away. Sandra could tell this was tearing Criss's heart out. "Oh Christopher I know this is hurtful to find out about your past like that but you have to realize that you're not that man that did to her". "It's scarey to realize that there is a piece of me that lose control that easily. Like today if I didn't step back and catch myself I would of hurt you like my dad did to my mom" Criss stated. "Why are you waiting untill now to tell me this" she replied. "Believe me Sandra it's hard to even talk about it"Criss remarked. "Where is she Criss is she with her mother back in New York?" she asked. "No her mother's dead and she doesn't live in New York"Criss replied. "Where is she Criss at some boarding school oversea where you're hiding her so the world won't find out about your child"she asked pist off. "Does Dimitra know that you're infact her birth father" she asked. "At first we weren't going to tell her because we made a death bed promise to my dad that she'd never find out but when JD and Costa went looking for their birth parents Dimi started to ask questions so we told her a few days ago"Criss stated.

Sandra looked confused. "I don't know what to say Criss this sounds like something out of a soap opera episode". You've got that right,Criss thought. The next day at work Criss was thinking as Costa came in. "Oh god I know that look you and Sandra broke up". "Not really I told her about my past and Dimi. After a few minutes of slience she grabbed her coat and left"Criss replied. "I can't believe you told her about Dimi" he said shocked. Criss was angry at whoever release this story. He even thought it was Mastero but he knew Mastero wouldn't do that to him. Criss tried to talk to Dimi but she wouldn't talk to Criss or nobody which hurt Criss. At Believe Criss was thinking when he first saw Dimi as a baby or when he used her in a magic trick. Tears fell down his face. "Criss you all right?"a voice called out. He looked up and saw Nick. Criss got up and walked over to him. "Not really"Criss remarked. "Melina told me you have a child that you let your brother adopt". "But now the whole world knows about her. She's so upset at me that she won't talk to me, my brother hit me telling me this is my fault and the worest part of it I don't know who told"Criss stated. "Christopher if you're thinking Melina and I let this news out you've got it wrong. We wouldn't do that to you considering how long it took us to find you or for that matter get up enough courage to tell you who we are"Nick remarked.

"I knew you guys wouldn't do that to me. I just wish Dimi would talk to me" Criss said. At the house Dimi had locked herself in her room and she wouldn't come out unless to get something to eat. "Dimi please talk to us"Lynn begged. "No this is all his fault!!"she replied. She's got Criss's stubborness for sure Lynn thought. When she came down JD came in. "Dimi still locked in her room". "Yea did you talk to Criss?". "He keeps saying he didn't do it" JD replied. "Is that before or after you hit him considering you have scrapes on your knuckle like you punched someone"Lynn stated. Back at the hotel Costa was trying to find out who told the media about Dimi and Criss. "Costa". Costa turned around and saw his ex Stacey. "Stacey what are you doing here?". "I wanted to tell you something I talked to my sister Cindy you know the reporter for channel 23. She told me that she knows who told her about Dimi being Criss's daughter". "Who?" Costa inquired. "For two tickets to Believe I'll tell you"she said. Costa sighed. "All right who". Stacey pulled out a picture and Costa's mouth dropped.

In Criss's dressing room Criss was hiding trying to figure out who would do this when Costa came in. "Knock any I could of been naked"Criss replied. "Please I use to change your diaper when you were a baby beside I found out who told the press". "How and who"Criss replied standing up. "Let's just say I owe someone two tickets to Believe. It's your Chef Carlos". "You mean Chef Ed's friend who's been working at my house while Chef Ed is recovering from hernia surgery" Criss replied shocked. "It seems Chef Carlos has an addiction for gambling so he sold the story to pay his bookies"Costa remarked. Criss was ready to punch the guy or the wall.

After Criss found out who told the press Criss wanted him dead or at least in pain but Criss learned from his father that violence doesn't solve anything so Criss decided to work out the stress instead. In the gym Criss was lifting weight when Costa and JD came down. "I see someone wants to kill someone" JD stated. Criss saw his brothers. "I just hate this side of fame people who are close to you use the information they've found out to get money and make celebrities look like idiots"Criss remarked trying not to go postal. "Believe me Criss we're both ready to excute that guy but I don't think Mom would like to see any of us on trial for murder". "Beside orange isn't my color" Costa added which made both of the guys laugh. "I just don't know what to do with this guy he's a good friend of Chef ED"Criss replied.

Nicholas was right about that. The tabloid issued a retraction and apology to Criss for what they wrote. Dimi felt better too and decided to go to college any way. At The Luxor Criss was finishing up some stuff when a knock came to his window. He looked up and saw Melina. Criss got up and went to the door. "I just wanted to see you before I left today" she remarked. "Where's Nick?" Criss inquired. "He's playing some blackjack I just wanted to say that I'm happy that we finally got to meet. Dimitra and John have raised you well"she remarked trying not to cry. "What time is your flight?" Criss inquired. "Why?". "I want you to meet your granddaughter she's going to be here in a few minutes"Criss stated. "You want me to meet your daughter my granddaughter". "I think she'd get a kick out of meeting her real grandmother"Criss remarked smiling. When Dimi showed up Criss walked over to her. "You ready Uncle Criss everyone's waiting for us at the resteraunt" she asked. "Dimi I want you to meet someone" he said.

"Well you know how your father found his mother and Uncle Costa found out some stuff about his mom well I found my biological mother your biological grandmother" Criss replied. Dimi looked shock. In the production office Melina was so nervous that her hands were shaking. Nick who joined her tried to calm her. "Relax Melina she's probably as nervous as you are" he stated. "I can't help it I'm about to meet my granddaughter"she replied. Outside the office Dimi starred at them. "If you're not ready-". "No it's just weird knowing this woman is my biological grandmother". They took a few minutes and walked in. When they came in Melina got up and smiled. "Melina this is Dimitra my niece/daughter"Criss said as they shook hands. "Dimitra what a beautiful name?". "I was named after my adoptive grandmother but I like my middle name better"she replied. "What's that?". "Melina". Now I understand why mom wanted her middle name to be that Criss thought. "So Dimi Criss tells me you're going to college?" "Yea but I'm staying close I'm going to LVSU" she remarked. "Full ride Dimi was a straight A student and valedictorian in high school"Criss stated.

"She got that from my side of the family I was a straight A student too" Melina remarked . "Grandmom said that if the magic bug didn't bit Uncle Criss he could of been a straight A student too," as Criss blushed. "Melina why did you let my grandmom adopt Uncle Criss from you?" Dimi asked. "You don't have to answer that"Criss interuptted. "It's all right Christopher I gave him to Dmitra and John because I was in a bad enviroment that I didn't want to bring him into and looking at him I made the right decision". After they talked some more they said their good-byes and left for the airport. At the resteraunt everyone was talking and having fun. Criss was at the bar getting a drink when JD and Costa walked over. "Dimi told us you introduced her to your real mom". "Yea I thought it would be the cherry on top to her trip"Criss replied. "I think finding out that the son she gave up for adoption became a world famous illusionist slash magician with enough awards to fill a room made her happy that she made the right deicision"Costa stated. Criss starred at Dimi as she talked to her friends.

"I should get going I got to get up early". Criss put his drink down and left. Outside Criss waited for his car when Dimi came over. "Uncle Criss"She called out. Criss turned around to her. "Yea Dimi". "I want to ask you something do you think you made the right decision on giving me up?"she inquired. "Dimitra it's probably the hardest decision any person has to make about giving up their own flesh and blood and if I had to do it over I wouldn't change it. I didn't regret giving you up I wasn't ready to be a father and I knew your mother wasn't ready to be a mother". "Thanks Uncle Criss" and gave him a hug. As Criss went over to get in he watched as Dimi walked off. I made the right decision and Criss left.
