In Las Vegas Criss was looking at a few things on his computer when his stomach started to tell him it was time for something to eat. Criss turned off his computer and went to grab something. He walked to a new restaurant that had opened in the hotel. He sat down as a waitress was working hard, but when she saw Criss walk in Criss would throw her a smile which she would throw back. "Quinn order up"the chef called out. "What's the special Evan?"Criss asked as the cook came out. "BLT with Monster Jack and OH MY GOD chicken"he replied. "Does the chicken come with a side order of tums and peto bismol"Criss joked as Quinn came back over. "It should he found a hot sauce made with Habanero peppers". "I'll take a grilled chicken sandwich with side order of garlic fries"Criss replied.

The cook went back in as Qinn sat down. Criss saw her belly which was heavy with child. "I can't wait for this kid to come". "Pain in the butt all ready and it isn't born yet"Criss stated. "Keep me up at all hours and keeps kicking me like now. You want to feel". Criss walked over and she put his hand where the kid was kicking. "Wow you may have a soccer player in there"Criss replied. "I should get back to work" and Quinn got up. "Here you go Criss Grilled chicken just the way you like it and garlic fries and a bottle of water". "Thank you looking for another waitress for the summer?"Criss asked cutting his sandwich in half. "I'm going to need one Quinn wants to work up untill that kid pops out but I don't think the customer want to see her go into labor while she hands them their foods" as Criss snickered. "My niece Dimi is spending the summer in Vegas and she looking for some work to earn a little spending money,"Criss remarked as he bit into the sandwich.

"Evan this is an awesome sandwich". "It's in the dressing secret recipe"Quinn said. "You should sell it "Criss replied. "No way my grandmother gave me that recipe on her death bed"Evan remarked. "Please your grandmother is alive and well in Brooklyn"Quinn stated making Criss chuckle. "That sandwich was awesome my stomach thanks you" taking out some cash. "No way Criss remember you and your crew have a tab here". "Consider it a tip see yea later" and Criss left.

Back at the office Criss was going over some stuff when JD handed him a breath mint. "You telling me my breath stink?". "You've got garlic breath you trying to keep Dracula away or something"JD replied. "I went to that new restaurant I can't stop eatting their garlic fries"Criss replied getting some gum. "That food is awesome"Costa remarked. "JD when's Dimitra coming in from New York". "Tonight why?". "She told me she was looking for work and Evan is going to need a new waitress since Quinn is ready to pop that kid out any day now"Criss remarked. "I'll give her a heads up". "Yea I saw Quinn yesterday she is getting bigger by the day"Luke stated. "So Criss's tummy". "So I put on a bit of weight I had to the doctor said I looked like a bean pole and my weight was bad". "Give me a break your weight's fine"Costa stated. "He said my weight was good for a girl with an eatting disorder". "If you don't stop eatting those garlic fries your stomach is going to look like Quinn's"JD remarked.

"Very funny"Criss stated. As Criss was heading to Believe he could hear yelling. He jogged over to see Evan arguing with a guy than the guy left looking pist. "Didn't like the food"Criss asked. "No his name's Coster Gems he's been trying to buy my restaurant since I opened. I keep telling him no but he keeps trying"Evan stated. "My niece is coming in tonight do you mind if I bring her over tomorrow". "Sure have fun at Believe"Evan stated. As Criss got ready for his show he noticed his pants were tight. Maybe JD is right maybe I've put on too much weighthe thought. When Criss came home Sandra was playing with Dini. "Hey baby"she remarked as Criss gave her a kiss. "Hey Sandra"Criss said as he sat down. "What's wrong you seem upset?" as she put the dog on the floor. "I was getting ready for Believe but when I put on my pants they felt tight but I didn't pay that much attenetion to it, but as I'm on stage doing my stuff I bend down and I hear a rip than I hear the crowd laughing. Mateo gets infront of me as I stood back up. My pants ripped right down the middle".

Sandra started to giggle. "Come on it's not funny"Criss replied. "Oh come on this happen". "Sandra I didn't have anything else on underneath my pants"Criss hinted. "You didn't have any boxers on"Sandra stated realizing what he ment. "It was uncomfortable so I took them off. God my butt is going to be on the world wild web and probably you tube"Criss said. Sandra walked over to him and gave him a kiss. "Come on maybe we can work off some of those pounds"she suggested as they went to bed.

The next morning Sandra woke up and found Criss not with her in bed. She went down stairs and found Criss in the gym. "Christopher what are you doing?". "I thought I'd start working out again I've been slacking off"he replied wiping the sweat off his face. "Just don't go overbroad" and left as Criss went back to working out. After Criss finished he got dressed for work while Sandra had gone back to bed. Criss went to kiss her and he saw that Dini was sleeping on his pillow. This would explain why I smell dog everytime I go bedCriss thought. When he got to work Criss saw police cars thinking someone tried to steal from the casino he thought not much of it untill he saw Evan talking to the officer. "Hey Evan what happened?"he asked as the officer left. "Someone broke into my restraunt and trashed it".

"Did McCaffery catch him on tape?". "They spray painted the camera but he's having a friend look at some other angle from other cameras for me"he replied. "Well I'll see you later" and Criss went to his office. As Criss worked on a few things Dimi came in with JD. "Uncle Criss"she remarked. Criss got up and gave his niece a hug. "How was the trip?". "Disguesting I got stucki next to a guy who got air sick and threw up all over the asile". "That's nasty"Criss stated. "But I got upgraded to first class for the rest of the flight" as JD and Criss snickered. "I know that you told me and your dad that you were looking for work here and there's a restraunt that has a job opening if you want it"Criss stated. "Sure do you think we go there". "Why not it's lunch time any way" and they left. When they got there the place was jumping. "Hey Evan where's Quinn?"Criss asked as Evan served a few tables. "She started to have contractions so Mc Caffery took her to the hospital and her replacement hasn't shown up"he replied.

"I need refill"someone yelled. Criss and Dimi looked at JD and JD nodded. Criss, JD, and Dimi grabbed some aprons. "Uncle Criss help Evan, dad let's takie some orders" and they split up. Criss came in and asked where he could help. "Cook six burgers for me and thanks" Evan replied as Criss smiled. "Two burgers with cheese with a side order of GF"Dimi called out. "GF". "Garlic fries Evan". "One Mindfreak with mushrooms,"JD remarked. Criss was shocked that he had a sandwich named after him. "Two OH MY GODs to go". While her father took the orders Dimi did the register. "27.67"she stated as a lady paid her bills. In the halls Felix walked by and saw JD and Dimi working on the floor as Criss was busying bussing the table. "I see you haven't lost your touch"JD said as Criss took the bucket to the back. After the rush they all sat down. "Thanks you guys were amazing especially you Criss I think you were the fastest bus boy I've ever seen". "Thank my dad upstairs I use to bus tables at the coffee shops when I was Dimi's age"Criss replied. "So what do you think Dimi you want to work here?"Evan asked. "You betch your bottom dollars I do" as everyone smiled.

"We should get back to our second job see you later Evan"Criss remarked. "Thanks again" and they left leaving Dimi there. When they got tothe office Felix was there. "I saw you guys over there I don't pay you enough that you needed a second job Christopher"he joked. "Just helping out a friend Felix"JD replied. "Well I'll say this if you ever have to give up magic you can also work in the restraunts" and Felix left as Criss rolled his eyes

That night Criss was picking up some stuff when he found a picture that had been hiden under some paper work Criss had stuffed in the draw. It was a picture of him and his dad sitting on a car. Criss sat down at his desk and looked at it. Memories of working with his dad at the coffee shop and getting his magic career off the ground flowed back. Even helping out Evan brought back some of the memories. Criss wouldn't give up being the Mindfreak to run a restaraunt he'll leave that up to people who want that dream. A knock at the door brought Criss back to reality. "Coming" Criss called out. He got up and at the door was Dimi. "Shift over all ready"he stated. "Even closed up early he wanted to check on Quinn. Where's dad?". "Had to go to the warehouse with Uncle Costa I have to get ready for Believe why don't you join me" he suggested.

They both went to Believe where a crowd was forming. "What's going on here they should be downstairs"Criss muttered as they took the back way down. When they got down there Mastero was the only one there. "Where is everyone is Cirque on strike and nobody told me". Mastero didn't know what to say as Luke came over. "Criss we've got a problem". "I can see that where is everyone"Criss asked again. Luke shrugged his shoulder. "You better find out before I have to do something I haven't done since the light problem when we first started Believe"Criss replied. "What's going on uncle Criss?". "I don't know Dimitra". A half an hour went by and Criss was ready to go but half the crew showed up. "I don't get this half my crew isn't here why"he asked. Nobody knew the answer which was making Criss run up the wall or pull out his hair.

"Time to go on Criss". Criss sighed and hoped what was going on was just wires getting crossed or something. At Senerity Sandra was getting ready for bed when the phone rang. "Hello" she said. "Sandra do you me a favor open the gate and come outside". "Sure Criss why?". "You'll see". She went to the door and opened the gate as Luke's car parked with Criss in the passenger's seat. He opened the door and on Criss's left leg was a walking cast. "Oh my god Christopher what happened?"she asked. "I was doing my show and I didn't noticed there was a slick substance on the stage. I slipped and pulled some tendons in my ankle so I have to wear this for a few weeks"he replied. "Dimi told JD what happened did you find out why half your crew didn't show up" as Criss sat down. "I don't know but I'll talk to them tomorrow"he said yawning

When word got around about what happened to Criss and why half his crew decided to skip work made Felix pist off that he started a little inquiry into it. At the warehouse Criss was working on some stuff when a knock came to the door. He opened the door and a guy who Criss noticed from his little arguement with Evan a few days ago. "Can I help yo?"he asked as the guy came in. "I was wondering how your show went last night I heard you got hurt"he replied looking out. Criss started to get a bad feeling about this guy. "So what it isn't the first time I've been in an ER"Criss remarked. "Tell me something why are you helping out Evan and his restaraunt?". "Now I remember you. Your the guy that wants Evan's place"Criss stated. "That's right and you're going to help me get him to sell it to me". Criss wasn't having this guy's attitude. "Listen you wanna be thug I wouldn't help you get a date with a hooker. Now get the hell out of my warehouse". "Listen Mind :mad: you think that what happened last night to you was an accident you've got another thing comming you just wait" and the guy left.

When Criss got back there were a lot of people outside with fire and police. He parked his car and found JD. "What the hell is going on Felix decided to do a fire drill?"he asked. "I wish someone called in a bomb threat"JD remarked. "Where's Dimi?" looking around. "She's over there with Evan he's the one who got thecall for the bomb" pointing to where they were. Criss ran over as Evan was in an amblunce with oxgyen. "You all right?"Criss asked. "Just a bit of an anxiety attack he'll be all right" the nurse stated. "It felt like I was having a heart attack". "Uncle Criss why would someone do this?" Dimi inquired. "I don't know but your friend who's been trying to buy your restraunt just admitted to me at the warehouse that he was the one who screwed up Believe last night and he wanted me to get you to sell the place to him". "Why is this guy want it so bad". "I don't know"Criss stated.

After the police gave the all clear they went back in. When Evan and Dimi got back to the restaraunt Coster was standing there. "What do you want?"Evan asked. "I heard about the bomb threat and I just wanted to make sure you guys were all right"he replied. Yea right Criss thought. "Coster I've told you I WILL NEVER sell this place to you. Now please go". Coster looked at them and just left. "What a pain in the butt"Dimi remarked. "Come on Dimi let's get back to work" and Criss went back to his office. At his office JD and Costa were talking as he came in. "Everything all right with Dimi?"JD asked. "She's fine but that Coster guy was at the restaraunt waiting for Evan. I would love to know what that guy wants with Evan's restaraunt"Criss remarked as he sat down.

"One word location Evan has the best location for his restraunt"Costa stated. "I'll talk to Felix about this and did we find out why half my crew decided to take unscheduled day off yesterday"Criss inquired. "Luke is talking to them right now"JD stated. Criss was itching his head. "Your brain is turning what's up?". "It's something the doctor told me. He said that if I fell a different way I could of broking my neck or worse cracked my skull". "When dad said you were hard headed who knew he was right"JD said as Costa and Criss laughed. "So you think someone was trying to hurt you on purpose?"Costa said. "Maybe I don't know"Criss said.

As everyone worked Criss couldn't stop thinking of what the doctor said last night. "Hey Criss". He looked up and saw Luke. "What's up?". "I just talked to everyone they said that they got a call from saying Believe was cancelled something about a power outrage at The Luxor"Luke replied. "Felix is doing an inquiry about it so go upstairs and tell him what you just told me"Criss suggested. "All right" and Luke left. After Luke left Dimi came in. "Dimi what's up you on a break". "Yea it's slow down enough that Evan let me have a lunch how you doing" sitting down. "Not bad I'm kind of sad my doctor said untill the boot comes off I can't do Believe". "I can understand that you may not be able to do some of your illusions that you usually do"JD stated. "Thank you Doctor Sarantakos" Criss said with scarcum. "At least you can spend some time with Sandra and that zoo you've got going"Costa added. "Very funny going into stand up Costa?"Criss asked as Dimi chuckled. "I should get back to work I'll see you later" and left. "So what are you and Sandra going to do tonight?" Costa inquired. "Believe or not she has plans with her sister who is coming into town"Criss replied. "So what are you going to do?". "Doctor's orders put my leg up and relax"Criss replied. After all the work was done Criss was getting ready to leave but decided to see how Evan and Dimi were doing also grab a burger to go since Chef Ed had the night off and Criss can't cook to save his life.

He came in and saw the place was jamming but Dimi was keeping up. Criss went over to the counter as Quinn waddle over. "Hey Criss your niece is working out perfectly" she replied. "What about you I thought I heard from Evan you were on maternity leave" he stated with a smile. "They may have to drag me out of here". "Quinn you have to take it easy or that kid is going to be born either here or in an amblunce"Evan called out. "If it help Uncle Costa is volunteer paramedic he can probably deliver the baby if it happens"Dimi added. "We'll put Costa on stand-by order 23's up" and Dimi went to deliver it. "Quinn one burger medium". "You want GF with that"Evan asked. "Had to let them go pants are feeling tight around the middle"Criss replied. "Criss ever woman with a pulse and a loyals loves you in tight pants"Quinn stated making Criss blush. Dimi chuckled. "I may tell that one to dad when I get home"Dimi remarked. "Thanks Dimi"Criss muttered. Aftrer Criss got his dinner he said his good-byes and left.

When Criss got to work the next day Luke was waiting for him. "What's going on Luke?" Criss asked getting out of his car. "I talked to Felix and he found out who told half the crew to stay home and you're not going to like it". "if it's Mateo-". "I wish but it was Richard". Criss sat down. Richard was one of Criss's dearest friend and helped Criss with some of his illusion but when Criss found out Richie tried to hurt Sandra one night while he was out of town Criss fired Richard and told him his friendship with him was done. "I guess he wants pay back" Criss muttered. "No he wanted you to do something you've only done once-Cancel Believe". "Well I won't let Richard ruin what I have so let the crew of Believe know that if they don't hear from me, you or Felix that Believe has been cancelled than it's still going"Criss replied.

"I'll let them know and Dimi is in your office". Criss walked in and saw Dimi sitting there looking worried. "Dimi what's wrong you look scared" he said sitting next to her. "It's that Coster guy he's been hanging around and last night a guy came in to rob the place". "Are you allright?". "I'm fine Marcus and some of his friends from another police department were in the restaraunt having a late night dinner. The guy said he was hired by Coster to rob the place so Evan would sell the place"she replied. "Some guys will do anything for a perfect spot to open a place". Costa came in and saw Dimi. "Dimitra what are you doing here?". "Costa do you still have a friend at city hall". "Yea why?". "See if you can find out something about a Coster Gem". "Hold on I know that name he runs a bunch of full body strip joints off the strip. He's been trying to branch out to gentlemen clubs"Costa replied. "Felix wouldn't let something like in The Luxor. You saw what happened to that store when Felix found out they were running something x-rated in the back room of their store"Criss stated. "I don't know what to tell you".

"Come on let's go over to Evan and talk to him". When they got there the place wasn't open yet. "This is weird"Costa stated. "Maybe Quinn went into labor"Criss said. "Uncle Criss on the counter it's Quinn's purse. She doesn't go anywhere with out her purse"she replied. Criss tried the lock and it was unlocked. He lifted up the fence and they ran in. "Evan Quinn"Criss called out. Criss heard a pan fall and went to the ktichen to fnd Evan on the floor. "Evan oh my god Costa call 911 I think Evan's having a heart attack"Criss said checking to see if Evan had a pulse. Dimi went around and found Quinn on the floor and water was on the ground. "Make it two Quinn's water broke!"Dimi called out. Costa called 911 as Criss went over to Quinn. "Quinn what happened?"he asked. "We were getting ready to open when Evan grabbed his chest . I was about to call 911 when my water broke and my contraction started. Oh god it's coming".

"Dimi get some towels and Costa now this baby is coming now"Criss replied. Dimi got up and went to get her uncle. "How's Evan?"she asked. "He's got a strong pulse"Criss remarked as Marcus came in with a first aid kit. "Where's Costa I don't know how to deliver a baby"Criss said. "Oh god I have to push"Quinn stated. Marcus saw the head was crowning. "Looks like we're delivering this baby now. Quinn on the next contraction push like you mean it," Marcuss remarked which she did. "Criss grab the right shoulder and turn the baby so the other shoulder can come out" as Dimi andCosta came in. "You're doing awesome Quinn one more push and your baby will be here". She pushed as the baby fell right into Criss's arm. "It's a boy Quinn"Criss replied as Marcus gave him a towel to wipe off the baby. Right after they did that the baby screamed. "Lungs are all right"Costa stated as everyone chuckled. Criss gave Quinn the baby as the paramedic came in.

After Evan and Quinn were taken to the hospital everyone went back to the office. "I can't believe what I just did I delivered a baby"Criss remarked in shock. "Another reason for you to be on the six o clock news"Costa joked as Dimi chuckled. "I wonder what's going to happen to the restaraunt with nobody to run it than Evan may lose it and that Coster guy may buy from underneath him" Dimi worried. "Dimi don't worry all right". The door opened and Felix came in. "Hey Felix what brings you here?". "I heard from Marcus Criss helped deliver a baby today". "Yea Quinn went into labor when she found Evan on the ground having a heart attack"Costa stated. "Place isn't going to be the same with out him". "What do you mean?" Dimi asked. "I just got a call from the hospital Evan died he went flat line at the hospital and they couldn't bring him back".

"Oh my"Costa remarked. " The board is selling the place. We allready got an offer from a guy named Coster Gems"he replied and left. Dimi started to cry as Criss gave her a hug. That afternoon Criss went by the restraunt and saw some people left flowers which made Criss smile. "You'll be missed Evan"Criss muttered. "Who put this :mad: memorial here!!"someone called out. Criss saw Coster coming over. "Hey show some respect a man died"Criss said. "I don't care if Houdini himself died here". He picked up the flowers and cards than threw them in the trash as he picked up the fence. Criss walked off wanting so bad to hit the guy to teach something about respect. As Criss was leaving for Believe he saw an officer walking in. "Hey Criss". "Someone stealing from The Luxor" he joked. "No someone was assaulted an eighteen year old". Criss felt a pang in his stomach so he decided to go with him.

When they got there a couple of the fanasty girls were sitting on the fountain. When the dancer moved Dimi was sitting there with a coat over her shoulders and some of clothes were torn . "What happened?"the officer asked. "We were coming past here when we heard screaming and swearing"one of the girl remarked. "So we walked in and saw a guy holding this poor girl down while his johnston hanging out so I grabbed the guy as the girl ran. That guy as he zippered up saying that the girl liked it rough than asked if I wanted a taste instead I pepper sprayed his ass". "I brought the girl out here and gave her my coat than called you guys". "Where's the attacker?" the officer asked. "In pantry we put him in there so he wouldn't leave". The officer went in with the girls as Criss sat next to Dimi. Dimi hugged her uncle as she cried. "It's all right Dimi he won't hurt you again"Criss assured her.

After the police took her statement they decided to take her to the hospital just to make sure everything was all right. At the hospital Criss sat in the waiting room wondering if Dimi was all right and hoped that guy didn't hurt her. "Christopher is that you?"a voice called out. He turned and saw Quinn. "Quinn what are you doing down here you should be upstars with your son?". "My nephew and his mom Care down here his mother and him got into a car accident coming to visit us. What are you doing here did one of your tricks go bad". "I wish Dimi was attacked by that Coster guy"he remarked. "Is she all right?" Quinn inquired. "She's being looked at right now. I can't believe Coster did that to my niece" he replied. "If I was there he wouldn't be a man anymore if you catch m drift",Quinn stated as Criss chuckled.

"I heard about Evan I can't believe he's gone". "I know and they're selling the place"Criss replied. "I heard Coster may buy the place". "I don't think Felix will sell it to him now that he attacked my niece and got himself arrested"Criss stated. "Well I should get back upstairs before they think I decided to ditch my child talk to you later" and Quinn left. After Quinn left JD and Lynn came in. "Criss where's Dimi. Is she all right?" JD asked. "I'll hurt that man if he hurt my daughter"Lynn stated. "Lynn JD take a breath sit down. Dimi is being looked at by a doctor but I don't think He hurt her that way. Some of the fanstay girls heard her yelling so they got her out of there"Criss replied as they sat down.

When Criss finally got home Sandra was waiting for him. "Criss where hae you been we had plans for tonight?"she askeds. "I was at the hospital Dimi got attacked". Sandra couldn't believe it as they sat down. "Is she all right?". "She's fine JD and Lynn are with her" Criss remarked. "What's really wrong Criss you like you're ready to cry" she asked. "You know that restraunt at The Luxor we met at". "Yea our first date was there sharing a thing of garlic fries" Sandra remarked sitting next to him. "Evan had a heart attack and he died". Tears fell down Sandra's face. "What's going to happen to the place?". "I don't know really"Criss replied. Sandra and Criss just sat there quietl. The next day when Criss got to work reporters were there. What the heck is going on here he wondered. After he parked his car and went to his office Costa was waiting there.

"What the heck is going on out there?"Criss asked him. "Coster who attacked Dimi he has a record for sexual assault". "I think Felix isn't going to sell that place to him now"Criss muttered. "Come on let's get to work" and they went in. As the day went on Criss couldn't stop thinking of what was going to happen to that place. Criss got up and went for a walk.

When Criss went pass the restraunt he saw some officers. "Excuse me" Criss asked. The officer looked up and it was Officer Willmer. "Christopher SarantakosI forgot you work here at The Luxor"she stated with a smile. "How's your mom?". "Good she went sky diving for her eighth birthday"she replied. "That would be funny to see my mom do that for her birthday so what's with the police I thought Coster was charged" Criss inquired. "We're just crossing our 'T' and dotting our 'I' as your father would say" she replied. "All right". After the walk Criss came back to see a a lawyer talking to Felix. "Criss come here for a minute"Felix called out. He walked over to Felix. "Criss this is Harry Zhang he's the executor of Eddie's will". Criss shook his hand. "You must be Christopher Angel Mr. Schwartz talked alot about you".

"My crew and I probably kept Evan is business since we moved in here. I even met my fincee there. It's a shame that Evan passed away"Criss said. "Well according to Mr. Schwartz's will he's left the restraunt to a lady named Quinn and he left you something as well"he replied. "Seriously" Criss stated. "He considered you and your crew family. He said that your crew and your family were the best customers he ever had"the lawyer remarked. "So what did he leave me?". "It seems Mr Schwartz left you this" giving Criss an envelope. "Thanks"Criss remarked. Criss took the envelope into the office. "What's with the envelope Felix paying you off again"Gerard joked. "No Evan left me something in his will"Criss remarked sitting at his desk. "Well open it". Criss opened it and it was a letter.

CRISS YOUR MOTHER EVEN LET ME IN ON A FEW OF HER RECIPES THAT I SERVCED AND HAVE TO SAY ARE GREAT, BUT CRISS YOU WERE THE GREATEST FRIEND HELPING OUT WITH SERVING IT MADE MY DAY. "I-I-I-don't know"Criss stuttered. "You didn't know about this?". "No I'm in shock that Evan left us that money"Criss replied. "Why don't we split it". "Yea how five dollars and twenty-five cents sound because if we did that for everyone right down to the people who set up magic place to the person who does Criss's hair that's probably how much you'd probably get"JD said as Criss chuckled. "Well we have to give a bit to Dimitra since she gave Evan a recipe that his crowd loved"Luke suggested. "All right but I don't know what to do withthe rest"Criss said. "Well untill we figure it out why don't you ask Felix to hold on to that"Costa suggested. "All right"Criss replied. Criss went up to Felix's office and knocked on his door.

Felix opened the door. "Christopher what can I do for you?". "I was wondering if you can put this in your safe". "What is it?". "Evan left me a check for a hundred thousand dollars". Felix whistled. "Wow what are you going to do with it". "Well three hundred goes to my mom because she gave Evan a recipe that his patrons loved but the rest I don't know so do you mind". "Sure"Felix remarked. "Thanks" and Criss left. A few days passed and Criss was leaving after doing Believe when he went passed the place and saw Quinn inside. "Hey Quinn what are you doing here?". "Just getting some stuff from Evan's office" showing him some. Criss saw he had a picture of him and Evan. "I can't believe Evan kept this picture. Costa took this when I moved into The Luxor"Criss remembered.

"There's something else you don't know. You inadvertently got Evan this spot". "What do you mean?"Criss asked. "When Felix started to plan where to put Believe Evan's restaurant was there so Felix moved him here for half the leasing price"Quinn stated as Criss smiled. "What else you got in there?". "his recipe book and this" showing Criss a picture. "I know this place it's a homeless shelter I did a Mindfreak over there a few years ago"Criss replied. "Criss that's Evan in the back" pointing it out. "You want what let me hold on to this I have a feeling it may lead us to find out a little more about Evan"Criss replied and left.

At Serenity Criss was looking at the picture that Quinn gave him in his office so not to distrub Sandra as she slept. His mind wondered if Evan had volunteered there or was he living on the street when this picture was taking. I wish Evan was alive I could ask him myself Criss thought. Criss yawned as he looked at his watch that said three twenty-two in the morning. Criss put his arms on the desk than his head and closed his eyes. "Hey buddy wake up". Criss opened his eyes and saw he was in the shelter. "Here hve something warm to eat" giving Criss a tray of food with some mik. "Thanks man"Criss remarked. "No problem and call me Evan". Criss looked around at all the people including kids and old people.

"Hey you"a voice called out. Criss looked up at a guy with glasses. Criss saw his reflection and saw he looked like the homeless guy he protrayed in television movie and showed him the poor side of Las Vegas and Sanctuary House. "Something wrong with you?'. "Sorry" and moved over. After Criss finished eatting he saw Evan and walked over but he disappeaed before Criss could get him. Criss turned around and saw the place was empty just an empty lot. Criss saw he wasn't dressed like a homeless man anymore but himself. "Christopher"a voice called out. Criss didn't know where the voice was coming from. "Christopher wake up". Criss woke up and saw Sandra with her hand on his shoulder. "Sandra where am I" he asked still not awake. "You're in your office at the house. What time did you come in last night". Criss looked at his watch and saw it said seven o clock.

Criss got up and went to the kitchen for some coffee to remove the cobwebs from his brain as Sandra followed him. "Criss what's going on with you?" she inquired. "I-I-I don't know ever since I got that check from Evan's estate my brain is just-". "Just what". "I don't know I need a shower" and went upstairs. In the bedroom Criss shut the door and sat on the edge of the bed. He put his head into his hands feeling like he was losing it or that his brain was malfuctioning. I think it's time for a vacation Criss thought. He untied his shoes and threw them into the corner. As Criss took off his shirt he felt a cold breeze hit him givinng him chills up and down his back. Criss got up and started for the bathroom when he tripped and fell to the floor. When Criss woke up he was back at the shelter. "Pastor Ray"a voice called out. Criss saw Pastor Ray walking over.

"Yes Samaul what can I do for you?". "I heard about your wife I'm so sorry for what happened to her" he remarked. "If we were meant to have a child than it would of happened, but thank you". I never knew that about the pastorCriss thought as he followed the pastor. The pastor went otside to sneak a smoke which his wife had been trying since they got married to make him quit. He stood near a dumpster as he lite he heard a muffled cry. The pastor looked at the trash next to the dumpster and looked through it to find a new born thrown away. The pastor took off his coat and wrapped the baby in it. "Michelle"he called out. Michelle came out and saw the new born wrapped in his coat. "Call an amblunce tell them we found a new born". "Pastor it must just been born the umblical cord is still attached to the child"she remarked. The pastor looked and saw that the cord had been tied off and cut. "Who in their right mind would do that to baby boy". "I'll call the police too".

The pastor went in and kept the baby warm. "I shall call you Evan". Criss couldn't believe it than a flash of light hit Criss blining him. "Criss it's all right" as someone grabbed his wrist. Criss saw he was in the hospital with Sandra and a doctor in the room. "What happened" as Criss laid back. "You tripped over yor shoes and hit your head against the end table. I couldn't wake you up so I called an amblunce"Sandra replied. "I was wondering why my head hurts"Criss muttered. "I'm going to get a CT scan just to rule out a brain bleed but so far I think you just have a concussion and nasty gash"the doctor replied and left.

At the Luxor the guys were wondering where Criss is . "Did you call his house?" Luke inquired. "Nothing I even called his cell just goes to voice mail"JD remarked. "Did you call Sandra?"Costa asked. Before JD could answer Criss walked in. "Where have you been?"JD asked. "I swear JD you sounded like dad when I broke curfew just than"he replied. "What took you so long you and Sandra have a great time last nigt"Costa inquired. "If you really want to know I was waiting for some test results at the hospital"Criss remarked. "Are you all right?"JD asked a little nervous. "Take a breath JD I'm not sick or dieing I had an accident at home"he stated. "What happened?"Luke inquired. "I was getting undressed to take a shower when I tripped and hit my head against the end table in the bedroom. I was knock out so Sandra had to call 911". "Good Criss with your leg and now this you're becoming accident prone"Luke said. Criss could hear his brothers muffling laugh.

"Let's just get to work"Criss stated. A knock came to the door and saw it was Felix. "What's up Felix?". "I thought you guys should know Quinn sold the restraunt". "Why?" Costa asked. "She didn't have the money for it". "Are you going to sell it to that Coster guy?"Criss inquired. "After what he did to your niece no way I'd have to be crazy to do that. Talk to you later" and Felix left. "That's too bad"Costa stated. "Yea". Criss was quiet as he put his head on his arms. "You all right?". "It's my head it feels like it's about to explode"he replied. "Did the doctor check you for a concussion?". "Yea the tlest were inclosive". "Criss your slurring your words"Luke remarked. "Costa go get your car"JD stated. Criss started to get up but the room started to spin and Criss fell to the floor. "Forget the car Costa call 911!!"Luke called out as JD checked out Criss.

When Criss opened his eyes Criss saw he was infornt of the Luxor. What is going on around here he asked as Criss got up. When he went inside he saw Evan with Pastor Ray. "Thank you so much for giving me the money to open this place"Evan stated with a smile that lit up the place. "Evan the lord gave you a great gift for cooking and with what little we had at the shelter you made those people feel like they were eatting at a five star restaurant"the pastor replied with a smile "I don't know how to thank you Pastor and your wife. You saved me mother left me to die that day, than you adopted me and gave me a life wo0rth living". Criss felt like crying as he watched. "For once my smoking did some good" he stated. Criss muffled a laugh. Then a young Felix came over. "Pastor nice to see you how is everything" shaking the pastor's hand.

"Not bad but not good as they say" he stated. "You should come by in a few weeks we're getting a new show a magician by the name of Criss Angel maybe you can come over and see if he'll donate some money to the shelter?"Felix suggested. "I'll try". "Here is your key to your new place Evan if your food is as good as I tried you may be a hit around here"Felix replied and left. And he was Felix Criss thought. "Let's open the place and see what we can do to fix it up"the pastor remarked. Criss followed them and when he got to it the place was jumping with Evan in the back. He walked in and saw himself at the counter looking at the menu. "What can I get you?". "I don't know what's good?"he asked. Evan heard them and came out. "The meatloaf is terrific and the chicken with feta cheese and spinach is awesome".

"Wait a minute you have a vegetable mousaka"Criss said when he saw it on the menu. "Yea my mother is Greek she gave me a recipe but I made a vegetable one for those people that don't eat meat"Evan replied. "You know what give me the vegetable mousaka". "You got it" and Evan went to the back. That was a great mousaka better than when mom made it Criss said to himself. "Here you go vegetable mousaka". Criss took a whiff of it. "This smell better than my mom's. She put in enough garlic to keep Dracula away"Criss joked. "My mother put in enough onion that when you smelled it your eyes would water". "My name's Christopher but people call me Criss" putting out his hand. "Evan nice to meet you" skaing his hand.

Than Criss heard rain coming down. What the heck as Criss heard thunder. When Criss opened his eyes he was in a hospital room. "Christopher oh my god". Criss saw his mother and Sandra. "Mom Sandra what happened where am I?". "You're in the hospital Christopher you got a bad concussion from the accident yesterday"Sandra replied. "I remember getting up than the place started to spin and everything when dark"he said. "You passed out infront of your brothers and Luke"Dimitra stated. "How long have I been out?'. "A couple of hours Felix maybe thinking you don't want to do Believe anymore"Sandra joked. Criss smiled. "We're going to let you get some rest Christopher". Sandra gave Criss a kiss and so did Dimitra than they left.

After his Sandra and his mother left Criss just looked out the window wondering what was going to happen to the restaurant he closed his eyes and fell asleep. A few days went by and Criss and his crew including Dimitra and Sandra went to Evan's memorial. As people got up and told their stories about Evan there wasn't a dry eye in the house. "We have one more person Sandra Estefan please come up". Sandra walked up holding a black bible in her hand that her grandmother gave her as a child.

"Thank you Father I worked for Evan as a waitress he was a great guy if you were feeling low he could tell. I remember one time we were getting ready to close down for the night and this guy came in. When I saw this guy I don't know what it is but I couldn't stop staring into his eyes and I think Evan know. Evan gave me a large order of garlic fries so I gave the order to the man, than he asked me to share it with him since it was too much for him to eat alone". Criss remembered that day it was when they met for the first time and every time on their anniversary they would go to Evan's restaurant and share a plate of garlic fries. When Sandra sat down Criss gave her a hug. After the funeral Criss was getting his car while Sandra was talking to some old friends. "Christopher"his mother said coming over.

"Yea mom"he said wiping his eyes. "I talked to Quinn they're having a little celebration for Evan". "I can't but Sandra took her car here if you want to go"he replied. She put her hand on Criss's face as a tear fell down his face. "Are you sure?". "Yea". "All right". She kissed Criss and went over to Sandra. She turned as Criss got into his car and left. When Criss got back to Serenity he saw Chef ED taking some groceries out of his car. "Hey ED"he called out. "Christopher I thought you were at a memorial service". "I had to get out before I lost it". "Mister Peli I put away the meat but I'm not sure where the rest goes". "Marshall this is my boss Criss". "Nice to meet you Marshall" Criss remarked saking hands. "Why don't you start peeling the apples for the pie" and the kid went back in. Criss said nothing as he help ED with the rest of the food. When he came in Marshall was peeling the apples like nothing else.

"Marshall slow down I don't want you to lose a finger". "If you don't mind me asking what's going on?"Criss asked. "I hope you don't mind Criss but Marshall and I are doing a party at the church where Pastor Ray works". "I remember Pastor Ray I helped raises some money for the homeless shelter Sanctuary" Criss replied. "So you don't know what happened?". Criss pulled over a seat. "What happened?". "There was a fire in the cafateria and he had enough money to take care of the damage but the county wants to shut it down since nothing of applinaces hasn't been replaced since your niece was two years old". "That sucks". "And the worse is Pastor Ray just lost his adopted son to a heart attack and his wife has been diagonsed with Stomach cancer,"ED replied. Thoughts of his father hit him like a bullet. "I'm sorry Criss I forgot about your father".

"It's all right Ed if you don't mind me asking what's with Marshall is he your assistant". "Honestly I teach a cooking class at the shelter for people that want to learn how to cook. Pastor ray's wife was teaching it there for years. That's how Pastor Ray's son got the itch for cooking,"he replied. Criss watched Marshall and thought of Evan. "So do you mind if we cook here?". "No just clean up after yourself I have to go run an errand"Criss replied and went upstairs to change. At the shelter Pastor Ray was cleaning up his office. "Are you becoming horder Pastor?". He turned around and saw Criss. "Christopher how are you?". "I'm doing good but I heard about the fire, your wife's illness, and the death of your adopted son" Criss remarked.

"Been talking to your chef?". "He let it slip Pastor"Criss replied. "So what are you doing here you going to help me clean up my office". "No but I know a great cleaning company that would probably help. I'm here to help you overall your kitchen"Criss stated. "Christopher I can't let you do that after everything you did for us, by selling your cars at an auction and giving us the money". Criss took out a cashier check from his coat pocket. "Consider it gift from your son" and gave him the check. "I don't understand Christopher". "I know Evan was your adopted son. I could tell when I met him for the first time he was a worker and never let anyone push him around. He left me this money and I had no clue what to do with it. When Chef Ed told me what happened I had a feeling it was Ed and my dad showing me where the money should go"Criss remarked.

"Criss with all the stories that I've heard about your father from you, and your sweet mother I wish I would of met him he was a hard worker"Pastor stated. Criss smiled, "I have to get going before Chef Ed burns my house down" and Criss left. A few months went by and Criss was working on some stuff at the warehouse when he started to smell Evan's garlic fries. He looked up as Sandra came in with a plate of them. "Surprise"she remarked as Criss put down his work. "And what do I owe this special surprise"he asked. "I talked to Pastor Ray and he told me what you did with the money Evan gave you" she remarked. "I thought it was the right thing to do"Criss replied. "Criss that's one of thing I fell in love with you. You loe to help people and it's a great quality to have"she stated as she gave him a kiss.

Criss took a fry and fed it to Sandra as she did the same. That night after Criss finished Believe he walked passed Evan's place and surprised to see a COMING SOON sign for a restraunt. I wonder what kind of restraunt Criss thought. "Christopher". Criss turned and saw the Pastor. "Pastor what are you doing here if you're trying to catch my show you're late"Criss stated. "I just wanted to makie sure that my wife's new restraunt is going good". "Your wife!!"Criss said shocked. "Who do you think taught Evan how to cook and at the shelter. My wife made a promise to herself that if beat the cancer that she'd open the restraunt and she got the good news that she's going to beat it". "Well that's great and tell your wife my crew and I will be there for the opening and I know two great waitress that would love to work for her"Criss replied. "If you're talking about your niece and Quinn they've allready been hired". Criss chuckled and said his good-byes and walked off. Before Criss left he stood in the artruim of The Luxor and thought about Evan and his father. Thanks guys and Criss left with a smile to his face.
