i watched the light in your eyes
the smile that held off the pain
a voice laced with lies
a life circling the drain
i tried to be there
put my life on hold
but no one cared
and my dream grew cold
i thought you were a friend
someone i could turn to
but as i watch it come to an end
i see the promises fall through
i hoped we could work it out
feeling so lost
i found without a doubt
our friendship was tossed
now i see the life i could lead
and you try to tear it away
if you only believed
there are no words to say
reaching the end i find
the life
i carelessly left behind
and now i see
you meant nothing to me
MY SOUL CRIES FOR THE SWEET SORROW OF DEATH ,,
MY BLOOD RUSHES TO MEET THE UNKNOWN.....

He must have been a dream,
So soft and yet strong.
I thought it was a scheme,
And found I was wrong.
Bathed in moonlight,
One could see.
An angel in the night,
Will make you Believe.

Here is a new poem....
I lay awake and watch you sleep
As slow moving shadows creep
Along the was and across the floor
Until the sunlight drifts in the open door
The sounds of night are gone by day
And it's all work and no play
But you come home at last
The night speeds by so fast
Then it's back to bed for you need sleep
And I sit alone not making a peep
If only the night was longer
We could build a life that's stronger
But instead we steal moments when we can
And try to give a supportive hand
One day for us is all we ask
Yet we have another pressing task
So for now I will watch over you
Until all of our dreams come true

For those waiting for Ash's new poem
She thanks you for waiting and says she is sorry that it took so long to find someone to post it for her....
I will try to type it up and post it tomorrow or Tuesday after work ... In the mean time she asked that I post one of her older poems to give you all something new to read so here it is
*** Redeem ***
surrounded by hate
they push closer to me
past the santuary gate
They wont let me be
this place was perfect
walls crumble to the ground
distain has disturbed it
nothing left as i look around
the doors been kicked in
all the light doused
i want to try again
let faith be roused
sorrow swallowed everything
can it be rebuilt
wipe the slate to nothing
erase all the guilt

Okay everyone here is Ash's new poem
******. My Light .******
I can feel it as you touch my face,
And in the strength of your warm embrace.
Love shines like a beacon from your eyes,
Lighting my way under dark stormy skies.
Every time my life goes a different way,
You lend me your faith to make it through the day.
The love we share helps me to stand strong,
Even when the choices I make seem so wrong.
Sometimes I wonder if this love is as good as it seems,
Or if I am lost in a world of beautiful dreams.
But all you have to do is say goodnight,
And tell me you love me as I turn off the light.
In those moments I know for sure,
The feelings we share are completely pure.
So I vow to love him for as long as I live,
And give him all the love I have to give.
And as I thank heaven for the angel they gave to me,
I know what a good life this has turned out to be....
Ash wrote this for the love of her life, her husband Jon

Jon has been quite the inspiration lately. I have written a few poems for him. Even though he's not big on poetry..... He still reads them when I write them though
Have a good day and I'll post as soon. As I can
