It’s eight in the morning and Las Vegas is waking up but for one resident he’s all ready dressed and look over what he had to do today. “After I finish filming today I have the afternoon to myself,” he said to himself. A knock came to the door and Criss knew who it is before he even opened the door. “Come on Christopher let’s go” the voice called out. “Hold your horses bro” Criss replied. He grabbed his hat and opened the door. Criss closed the door and went to his cars where JD was waiting. “Come on slow poke”. They both got in as Criss put on his hat. After Criss finished his last episode, he started to do mental cartwheels. “So what are you going to do for the rest of the day?” JD inquired. “Go for a long bike ride and before you say anything I’ll bring my cell phone”. Criss went to change than left The Luxor parking lot. As the hours went by Criss ended up at a liquor store and decided to look at what they had. He found a tequila bottle that looked interesting so he grabbed it as another guy who looked a little off his rocker came in.

“Hey buddy I need that I’ll give you anything for it” he said to Criss. The manger of the store saw the guy and went over to where they were. “Come on Kurt I told you to stay out or I’d call the police on you” and escorted him out as Criss went over to one of the cashiers. “Sorry about that Kurt has mental problems and he thinks liquor will help with the voices he hears” the cashier explained. Criss just smiled as he paid for the liquor. When Criss got outside he was about to get on his motorcycle when Kurt ran over and started to fight with Criss for the bottle. Criss did not know what to do but as Criss let go the bottle fell to the ground shattering. With out warning Kurt hit Criss knocking him to the ground. The manger came out as Kurt got on Criss’s motorcycle and ran over Criss’s legs and pelvis. Criss screamed in pain as the bones in his legs and pelvis broke. “Jenny calls the police and an ambulance now!!!” the manger yelled. When people saw what was going on one of them got Kurt off the bike. Kurt got up and went to the dumpster, than took out a steel pipe. Everyone didn’t know what to do every time they came close to Kurt he’d swing the pipe almost hitting them. Criss dragged himself until he was leaning against a car. Criss was in so much pain he couldn’t think straight.

Kurt saw Criss next to the car and swung the pipe right into the rib cage. Criss screamed as the pipe broke ribs. Before Kurt could do any more damage someone ran up and tackled him to the ground. “Get off of me he needs to pay!!!” Kurt kept yelling. The manger went over to Criss and saw Criss was fading fast. “Come on buddy stay with me. Jackson help me get him inside before Kurt goes off again” he called out. “We shouldn’t move him he probably has internal injuries moving him will make it worse” Jackson remarked. The last thing Criss saw before losing consciousness is the ambulance pulling in. “Over here” the manger called out. “Oh my god what happened to him?”The EMT asked as they ran up. The manager told the EMT what happened as the police put Kurt in a car. “Sir can you hear me?” she asked Criss. Criss mumbled something but nobody understood it. The owner of the liquor store went into Criss’s pocket and took out his wallet. “Christopher Saran-something he lives here in Las Vegas” the man replied showing it to the EMTS. “His blood pressure is dropping and so his heart rate that blow to the side must of broken a few ribs and maybe some bleeding” putting oxygen on Criss. “Call for Med flight he’s not going to last another minute”.

Then Criss’s phone started to ring. The paramedic looked at the caller ID it said JD. “Hello” she remarked. “Who’s this and why do you have my brother’s phone?” JD asked. “Listen my name’s Dennie and your brother has been attacked. His injuries are severe we’re med flighting him to a trauma center I have to know is your brother allergic to any medication” she asked. “Just Morphine makes his throat closes up” JD replied. “V-tach!!”. Dennie hung up the phone as she started to do CPR on Criss. JD dropped the phone and grabbed the side of his desk as Doug and George came in. “JD what’s wrong you look like you’re about to pass out” Doug remarked as he sat JD on the floor. “I called Criss to see when he was going to be back but a woman answered. Criss was attacked and injuries were serious than I heard the word V-Tach and she hu-u-ung up” JD replied. “Did she say anything else?” George asked.

“Something about a trauma center” he remarked as George gave him some water. At the site they shocked Criss and got him back. Criss started to come around as the helicopter started to land. “Criss can you hear me my name’s Dennie and we’re getting ready to transport you to a trauma center”. “My-br-r-others” he muttered. “Don’t worry Criss we contacted them”. Criss started to fade out again. “Dam he’s going into shock get me some saline before he gets loaded up”. After they loaded Criss up and the helicopter left the officer came over. “So do you think he’s going to make it?” the officer asked. “In my opinion with the injuries he sustained I don’t think so” Dennie replied. “I should go inform Felix Rappaport about what happened to his employee” The officer remarked. “Wait a minute he works for The Luxor hotel” Dennie stated stunned. “Ever heard of Criss Angel that’s the guy you just worked on” and the officer left.

At The Luxor JD was talking to Felix. “Have you heard from this Dennie person again?” Felix inquired. “No I’m scared that Criss maybe dead and in the morgue somewhere” JD remarked. JD sat down and put his head in his hands. Felix walked over. “Don’t worry JD you’ll hear something” Felix assured him. Then Felix’s secretary came in. “Mr. Rappaport there’s an officer down stairs asking for you something about Criss Angel” she stated. “Bring him up” which she did. “Mr. Rappaport I’m Officer Delox I’m here to inform you one of your employees was assaulted seriously today Criss Angel” The officer stated. JD got up. “How bad?” JD asked. “I can’t give that information out” The officer replied. “This is Criss’s brother” Felix said to the cop. “Pretty bad the man who did this ran your brother over with a motorcycle and than swung a metal pipe into his chest,”.

JD felt like he was about to throw up. “I can drive you to the trauma center if you would like” The officer offered. “JD go be with Criss I’ll give Costa a call and tell him what’s going on” Felix remarked. “Thanks Felix” and JD left with the cop. In New York Criss’s mom was having dinner with Costa when the phone rang. Dimitra got up and answered the phone as Costa cleaned up. “Hello” she said. “Dimitra it’s Felix I have some bad news about Criss”. “Is he all right?” she asked shaking a little. Costa walked over. “It seems he was beaten” he replied. “Oh my god how bad are his injuries?” Dimitra asked. “I don’t know JD is on his way to Bolder City Trauma Center I think you and Costa should fly to Bolder City too”. “Thank you Felix”she said and hung up. “Mom what’s wrong with Christopher?” he asked.

Dimitra said nothing as tears started to fall. “Christopher has been assaulted”. “How bad?”Costa inquired. “I don’t know but Felix said we should get on the first plane to Bolder City”. Costa gave his mom a hug as tears started to fall down his face as well. When Criss arrived at the trauma center one look at his x-rays and his injuries they didn’t know if Criss could tolerant surgery to repair his pelvis and legs. Criss opened his eyes a little as he looked around. “Doctor his eyes are opened” the nurse called out. “Criss my name is Dr. Younger your injuries are extremely serve. You’re going to need surgery to repair legs and the bleeding”. Then Criss’s eyes closed and they brought him up to surgery. As the cop drove JD called Costa. “Hello hey JD yea Felix called we’re on our way right now. Do you know anything?” Costa asked. “No when I find out you’ll find out” JD remarked and hung up. Please dad whatever you do don’t take Christopher away until we can say good-bye to him.

It was around eight at night when JD got there. “Mr. Sarantakos I’m Nurse Frankie your brother Criss is still in surgery I’ll bring you up to the surgery ward” and brought him up. When JD got there Costa and Dimitra were all ready there. JD gave them hugs as tears fell down their faces. “Have you heard anything?” JD asked sitting next to his mom. “Nothing yet I just can’t believe this do you know what happened?” Costa asked JD. JD looked at his mother. “The guy who did this ran Criss over with Criss’s own bike” JD remarked as Dimitra started to cry. Then a doctor came out. “You family of Criss” he inquired. “Yes how is my Christopher?” Dimitra asked. “His injuries are very severe. His pelvis is shattered, both of his femurs were broking, there’s internal bleeding. I have to get back” and the doctor left.

Everyone sat down as they were thinking if they should make funeral arrangement for Criss. In surgery they were doing everything they could to save Criss but not a lot of people thought he wouldn’t be the same person again. In the surgery waiting room Dimitra was pacing while Costa sat on the floor looking up at the ceiling. Then JD came in with some sandwiches and coffee. “Thanks bro,” Costa stated getting up. Dimitra didn’t want anything. “Come on mom you haven’t eaten anything since we got here” Costa said. “I’m not hungry I wish the doctor would come out and say something it’s been hours” she replied wiping her tears away. Costa gave his mom a hug. “Mom don’t worry Criss is strong he’ll survive this” Costa assured her. As he said that the doctor came out. “Well it was touch and go but Criss survived the surgery” the doctor remarked. “Can we see him?”JD inquired. “Not right now but I should tell you that we put Criss in a drug induced coma with the injuries he sustained Criss would have been in an enormous amount of pain, but tomorrow you can see him” the doctor replied and left. Thanks dad JD thought

The next day what happened to Criss got around and everyone in his crew were sitting in the production office talking. “I can’t believe a mentally unstable guy did this” John replied. “I talked to JD last night they had to put Criss in a drug induce coma because of his injuries” Banachek stated. “Let’s just hope Criss can get through this like he has with some of illusions” Janice stated. At the hospital JD was sitting with Criss. He couldn’t believe what he saw. Criss had a breathing tube down his throat while his eyelids were taped closed. JD’s eyes went down his body and saw the brace that was around Criss’s pelvis almost like a diaper and both of his legs had metal rods and strings sticking out like a support system while in hamocks. Tears started to fall down his face and walked out. “You all right Mr. Sarantakos?” a nurse asked. “Yea it’s just hard to see my brother like that” he replied wiping away the tears.

“He’ll be all right people with your brother’s injuries would of died during surgery but for some reason he survived”. Then Dimitra walked over. “You all right JD?” she asked. “Mom are you sure you want to see Criss?” JD inquired. She nodded. The nurse walked over to them. “Why don’t you go outside and get some air JD I’ll stay with your mom” The nurse suggested. They walked in together Dimitra couldn’t believe what she saw. “Just sit down and take his hand” as the nurse got a chair to sit down next to her. “Christopher it’s mommy I’m here” as she wiped the hair from his face. Criss’s hand squeezed hers which brought tears to her face. Outside in the hall JD just watched as tears fell down his face. Please dad don’t take Christopher away he thought trying to stay brave for his mom. Then an alarm started to go off. “What’s going on?” Dimitra asked as more people came in. “He’s in V-fib paddles!” the doctor called out. JD brought his mother out of the room as she felt she was about to lose her son. “Three hundred” and they shocked Criss.

It felt like slow motion as they shocked Criss. “CHRISTOPHER DON’T LEAVE US!!” she screamed. “He’s back” the doctor said. “I guess Criss heard you mom” JD replied hugging his mom. That night Costa stayed with Criss while JD was giving George an update over the phone. “How’s Aunt Dimitra doing?” George asked. “She’s scared we all are” JD replied. “Don’t worry JD Criss is a strong guy”. “I know but it’s not easy George he doesn’t look like the same Criss. They don’t even know if he’ll be the same Criss we know” JD remarked. “Don’t worry JD he’ll be the same Criss again”. Few more days went by and they decided to take Criss out of the coma. In his room JD, Costa, Dimitra, and George were there. “Now if he does come out he may not be able to talk with the breathing tube in his mouth so take a breath” the doctor explained as he pushed a medication in to Criss’s IV bag. Criss’s eyes opened but from Criss’s view it was blurry. What happened oh yea that idiot assaulted me. “He’s coming around Christopher can you hear me nod if you can”. Yea stop yelling will yea wait a minute what is in my throat . Criss moved his hand but JD grabbed it. “It’s a breathing tube Criss you have a tube down your throat” JD stated. A breathing tube why do I have one. Criss looked around and saw his legs. What the :mad: what happened to my legs and what is this around my pelvic area!!! as he felt around it. "Criss I’m going to take the tube out of your throat” the doctor remarked.

When he did Criss started to cough so JD gave him some water through a straw. “Criss you put your family through hell but you survived so far” the doctor remarked. Criss said nothing as he looked at his legs and the device around his pelvis. Criss asked for something to write so the doctor gave him a pad of paper. What is going on with my legs and this diaper thing on me he wrote. “You were badly banged up Christopher your pelvis was like a jigsaw puzzle and so were your legs” the doctor replied. My chest is killing me he wrote. “It’s because one of your ribs punctured your heart we had to crack the rest of your ribs to get to the hole but the pain will go away in time” the doctor replied. “When will he be able to leave?” Costa inquired. “Not for a while why don’t we let him relax” the doctor suggested. Dimitra gave her son a kiss. “Just give us a ring if you need us Criss” JD said. All right he mouthed.

That night Criss tried to sleep but the nightmare of what happened kept playing back in his mind. Being run over by the motorcycle and being hit in the chest with a steel pipe. Criss woke up with a jolt. Criss wiped the sweat off his face as the nurse came in. “You all right Mr. Sarantakos” as she checked to see if Criss had a fever. “No just had a nightmare” he replied as the nurse wiped off some sweat from Criss's brow. "Do you want me to talk to your doctor about giving you something to help you sleep?” she asked. “No”Criss remarked. “All right just beep me if you want me to” and she left. The next day Costa was on the phone with Gerard. “He’s awake but he’s going to need a lot of help when Criss comes home” Costa replied. “Like what?”Gerard inquired. “Getting dressed, showering some of the stuff we take for granted” he stated.

“Everyone here wants Criss to come home safe and sound when do you think you’ll be coming back”. “Probably when Criss gets out of the hospital it’s like a five hour drive from The Luxor to the hospital so we all got hotel rooms” Costa replied. “Just keep us update” Gerard said and hung up. That same day Dimitra and JD came to see Criss. When they came in Criss was sitting in a chair with his legs up. “I see someone’s out of bed” JD remarked as his mother gave Criss a hug. “They thought I should get out of bed for a while” as he yawned. “Didn’t sleep much?”. “No I kept having flashbacks of my accident I just don’t understand why it happened?” he asked. “The guy’s schizophrenic and off his medication” JD replied. “Great he’ll probably get off with time in physic hospital” Criss said rubbing his side. “Still hurting”. “Yea,” Criss replied. “I just feel like a science project gone wrong”. “Don’t think that Christopher you were lucky to survive this” his mother remarked. “I guess so” he stated.

Then the doctor came in. “How you feeling Criss?” he asked. “My chest still hurt” Criss replied. “Your chest will hurt for a while Criss we had to break your ribs to get to the bleeder”. “When will those metal things come out” pointing to the stuff sticking out of Criss’s legs. “We’re going to take an x-ray later on today to see how the bones are healing and we’ll take it from there,” The doctor remarked

“Criss the nurse told me you’re having some trouble sleeping”. “I’ve been having flashbacks when I sleep” Criss admitted. “Criss I’m going to send up one of our psychiatrist so she can help you with what you’re going through” the doctor stated. “All right” and the doctor said his good-bye and left. “Great now my doctor thinks I need a psychiatrist” Criss muttered. “What’s wrong Christopher you seem sad?”his mother asked sitting on his bed. “I’m just disappointed at myself that I let a guy who wasn’t all there in his head to do this to me” Criss stated as he looked at the metal sticking out of his legs. “Criss you’re lucky-“. “I know a lucky guy but I don’t feel that lucky considering I can’t take a few steps to use the bathroom” Criss remarked as his mother rubbed his arm. JD put his hand on his shoulder. “Don’t worry Christopher you’ll be the same person you were before this happened” JD assured him. “Thanks,” as he put his hand on JD’s. “JD do you think you could get the nurse for minute?” he asked. “You all right?”. “I need to go to the bathroom” Criss whispered into his ear. “Mom why don’t we go get something to drink Criss needs some privacy for a few minutes” JD suggested. “All right” and they left as a nurse went in to help Criss. When they got back to the hotel George was there with Costa. "George I see you made the five hour drive"JD stated.

“So how’s Criss?” George asked . “Upset that he isn’t the same person he was before this happened” JD replied. After Criss finished his business George walked in. “Hey cous”. Criss turned his head and saw George. “Hey George” Criss said with a smile. “Listen cous I know you’re feeling depressed because of this but you have to remember that even thou you may not be the Criss your fans know on the outside you’re still the same person inside” George stated. “Thanks cous” and George gave him a hug. A clearing of the throat was heard. The cousins turned and a man was standing there. “Christopher Sartankos” . “That’s Sarantakos I’m his cousin George” as George shook his hand. “I’m doctor Houston your doctor sent me down telling me you've been having nightmares about your accident” he stated. “I’ll see you later” George said and left. Criss really didn’t want to talk to this guy and wish he never mentioned that he was having trouble sleeping.

As night came Criss really didn’t want to go to sleep afraid his nightmare would come back to haunt him so Criss turned on the television but the only thing on were infomercials and straight to DVD movies. Around two-thirty a nurse came in. “You all right?” she asked. “Yea” as Criss turned off the television. “Can’t sleep I can see if your doctor will prescribe-“. “No I’m fine” Criss replied. “All right” and the nurse left. Criss closed his eyes and prayed his nightmare wouldn’t come back to haunt him. His pray wasn’t answer the nightmare came back and it felt like Criss couldn’t get himself to wake up. At the nurse’s station Criss’s heart rate started to spike so the nurse ran into Criss’s room. She saw him tossing back and forth and sweat was pouring down his face.

“Christopher wake up!!” she yelled. Criss woke up as he caught his breath. “You all right” as she wiped the sweat off his face. “Yea just a bad dream” he replied breathing heavily. When JD and Dimitra came in the next morning they saw George asleep in the next bed. JD walked over to George and woke him up. “Oh hey JD” as he woke up. “What’s up with the sleep over?” Dimitra asked. George took JD and his aunt outside to the hall. “Around three in the morning I got a call asking me to come to the hospital so I did. The nurse told me that Criss had a nightmare and it was so bad that his heart rate spiked so she thought maybe a family member could help relax Criss so he could sleep. I walked in and we talked until Criss nodded off and I fell asleep next to him” he replied.

“That was nice of you George why don’t you go back to the hotel and take a shower or something” Dimitra suggested. “All right” and he left. When Criss finally awoke he saw his mother sitting next to him. “Good morning Christopher” she stated. “Hey mom” he replied smiling a little. “How’s it going Criss?” JD asked walking in. “A little better where’s George?” he asked. “We sent him back to the hotel to get washed up. Christopher why didn’t you call me or your brothers?” his mother inquired. “I didn’t want to be a bother to you” Criss remarked. “Criss we’ve been there for you since you started to do magic so don’t think that way all right” JD said. “We’re here for you Christopher” his mother stated holding his hand as the doctor walked in. “Good morning how is everything?”the doctor asked. “What’s the deal with the metal poking out of my skin?” Criss replied. “Well I have some good news but some bad news we can take the metal rods out of your legs but you’re going to have put two casts on your legs”The doctor replied. What else can he do to make me miserable Criss thought as his mother rubbed his arm.

“Don’t worry Christopher everything will be all right”. Criss said nothing as he turned his head to a window. That afternoon they took Criss to the operating room to have the metal rods and stuff taking out and have his legs put into casts. At the hotel Costa was walking around with George as Dimitra and JD came back. “How Criss doing?”George inquired. “Honestly I think he’s depressed and wants this whole thing to be a bad dream” JD remarked. “Believe me we all wish it was a nightmare JD” Costa replied. “Well the good news is they took the metal out of Christopher’s legs bad news he has to have his legs in casts” Dimitra stated. “Criss must of loved that” George muttered. “Well at least he’ll be a little bit more mobile and the doctor said we could take him outside tomorrow if the weather’s good” JD added. “I just finish talking to Dave he wanted to know how Criss was so I filled him in as best I could”.

“I talked to Elizabeth last night every news station including CNN has been talking about what happened to Criss. Even the mayor of Las Vegas wants to pass a law that people like the guy who assaulted Criss should be put in jail until they take their medication” Costa replied. “Well some people have got to remember people that are mentally impaired are on their medication for a while they feel like they don’t need it so they stop taking it than they lose it so to speak” JD stated. Around two at night the Dimitra's phone rang so she picked it up.

“Hello” she stated. “Hey mom”. “Christopher why are you calling me so late” she asked looking at the time. “Because I’m afraid to go to sleep. Afraid I’m going to have my nightmare again” as tears fell down Criss’s face. “Christopher I want you to get comfortable as you can”Dimitra remarked. Even thou he wanted his bed at his home Criss got himself comfortable. “All right mom I’m as comfortable as I can get”Criss said. Dimitra started to sing and Criss remembered the song from his child hood his mother would sing to him and his brothers when they had nightmares as little kids. After a few minutes Criss started to yawn. “Now I want you to hang up and go to sleep. I’ll see you in the morning” and she hung up. Criss hung up too and fell asleep.

At the hospital Criss woke up and saw a nurse fixing his IV. “I see someone got some sleep last night”. “Yea it feels good not to wake up with your heart pounding in your chest” Criss replied wiping his eyes. “I’ll get you some water so you can wash up” and the nurse left as Costa came in. “Hey bro how you feeling?”he asked. "Better where’s JD, George and mom?”he asked. “George went back to Las Vegas, JD was on the phone with Lynn and mom decided to wait until JD was done but I think she’s nervous to see you the way you are” Costa replied sitting next to Criss. “Who wouldn’t I feel like a mummy with my legs like this and wearing this stupid diaper contraption around my pelvis” Criss replied trying to get comfortable. “Just give it time Criss it’s just to keep some of the bones in your pelvis in place so they can heal around some of the metal” Costa explained. “I’m going to be fun at airport security with all the metal in me now” Criss remarked as the nurse came in. “Here we go some water to wash your face” the nurse stated.

“I’ll get your toothbrush and some soap from the bathroom” Costa added. As the nurse was opening the shade she saw Criss was sweating a little. “You all right Criss?”she asked. “Yea I’m just a little hot all of a sudden” Criss replied. As the nurse checked his temperature Costa came back out and asked what was going on. “It seem Criss has a fever I’m going to call his doctor and find out if he wants some blood work done” and the nurse left. “Great now I have a fever” Criss remarked laying back in his bed. “Don’t worry Criss it just means you might have an infection and your body is fighting it” as Costa wet the cloth. Criss was washing his face as Costa got his toothbrush ready. “I wish I never went on that trip than this wouldn’t of happened” he replied drying his face. “Don’t think that way Criss it wasn’t anyone’s fault that some guy decided to go off his medicine” Costa explained as the nurse came in. “Well it looks like I got to draw some blood” the nurse stated coming in with her material.

Criss turned to look at Costa. “Still got that phobia of needles considering what you’ve been through in life” Costa said. Criss winced as she poked the needles to get blood. “There we go all done” as she put a Band-Aid on it. The nurse left with a smile as Costa watched her leave. “Why don’t you ask her out” Criss remarked. Costa giggled as Criss brushed his teeth.

When his mother and JD came Criss was watching television in a chair with his legs up. “Hey Criss how’s it going” JD asked. “Well I’ve got an infection and a fever how’s the family doing” Criss replied sarcastically. “An infection is it a bad infection” his mom worried. “No the doctor says it happens sometimes with people that have had surgery like Criss so don’t worry” Costa replied. Criss turned his head to the beautiful sunny day. “You all right Criss?” JD inquired. “Yea just getting sick of being inside I want to go outside and enjoy the day” Criss replied as he sighed. “Why don’t we get a wheelchair and you can get go outside for a while” his mother suggested. “Sure if they can find a wheelchair” Criss stated. “Criss this is a hospital if we can’t find one here we’ll go to another hospital and steal one” JD joked which brought a smile to Criss’s face. Costa went to find a wheelchair and when he did some ordeals came in. They helped Criss get into the wheelchair as the nurse pulled up an antenna to put his IV on.

“There we go” the nurse remarked. “Come on let’s go outside” . Costa took the wheelchair and they started for the door As they walked to the door Costa was speeding a little. “Slow it down Costa” Criss remarked. “All right lead feet my turn” JD stated talking the wheelchair. “And I was going to pop a wheelie” Costa said. “Not while I’m in here” Criss replied as everyone laughed. When they finally got outside Criss closed his eyes as the sun hit him. “This feels nice” Criss remarked. They found a place so everyone could sit and they talked. Outside Criss was enjoying the sunlight considering he'd been indoors for so long. "Christopher do you know why this man went after you like that?" his mother inquired. "Mom I don't think-". Criss put his hand up as JD sat down. "From what I've heard and remember the guy has mental problems" Criss replied. "Do you forgive him for what happened Criss I mean look what he did to you. You came close to dieing"Costa remarked. Don't remind me Criss thoughts. As everyone talked Criss started to remember some of his accident. The feeling of the bike running over his legs and feel of his ribs breaking. GET OFF OF ME HE NEEDS TO PAY echoed in Criss's mind.

A hand on his shoulder brought him back. "You all right Criss?"JD asked. "Yea just having some flashbacks"Criss remarked. "Are you sure you're looking pale all of a sudden"Dimitra said. With out warning Criss vomited all over the grass. "Come on I think Criss needs to go back to bed"JD suggested. Dimitra walked over and gave Criss some water to rinse out his mouth. "Thanks mom" Criss replied as he spit it out. "Come on" and they went in. As they went up Criss tossed his cookies in the elevator. "That's nasty"Costa stated. In Criss's room the nurse was changing the sheet as another nurse came in to tell her that Criss was coming back and he threw up twice. "Get me some ordeals to help transfer him and see if his doctor can prescribe some companies for the vomiting" she suggested. The ordeals waited as they brought Criss in and transferred him lightly to his bed. Then Criss started to shiver a little. "It's all right Christopher just relax"his mother remarked as the nurse put a blanket on Criss. Dimitra felt helpless as her child laid there shivering so she walked out to the hall.

When she got there Dimitra started to cry. "You all right mom"JD asked. She nodded as JD sat next to her. "As I stood there watching Christopher I felt so helpless I wanted to hurt the man that did this to my child. How could he do such a thing to a person he didn't even know it makes no sense". JD gave his mom a hug as she cried. "Believe me mom we all feel that way". The nurse came back outside and told them that Criss was fine and that he was asking for his mom. Dimitra wiped the tears away as she went in.

Back in Las Vegas two lawyer were talking. "Come on Sam fifteen year with parole after five". "You did let me finish Craig he must take his medication while in prison and when or if he gets paroled" Sam stated. "Come on Sam". "Take or leave it Craig". "See yea in court" and the guy left. After the lawyer left he went over the case as his boss walked in. "He didn't take the deal" as his boss sat down. "Nope and it was a good offer" he replied. "I'm surprise you gave him a deal considering he ran over a celebrity". "Come on Max the guy's a magician for cry out loud" Sam replied getting a book. "Have you ever seen this guy do his magic. His show is a hit at The Luxor and this guy has a following that would make Aerosmith jealous".

Sam chuckled. "Well I still don't considering him a celebrity in my book" Sam stated. "Well before you go further with this. You talk to the victim of the accident" and his boss left. When Dimitra walked in she put on her brave face even thou she was scared John if you can hear me give me the strength to be there for my baby and our son she thought. When she came in Criss had opened his eyes. Dimitra went to Criss's bedside and held his hand. "I hope I didn't scare you with what just happened"he stated. "Christopher with all the stuff you've done this did scare me a little but I'm happy you're all right" she replied wiping a piece of hair from his face. They talked about the old times his first time doing magic at a birthday party for his neighbors when he was ten, or when Dimitra would get a call from the principal at his high school telling her how Criss would tie himself to chairs during lunch time; up until he showed his mother the Believe theater when it was finally done.

Criss started to yawn and Dimitra gave her son a kiss before she left but Criss asked her to stay just until he fell asleep which she did. Around midnight JD had come back to get his mother and found her asleep next to Criss's bed still holding his hand. “What are you doing here Mr. Sarantakos” the nurse asked walking over. “I came to bring my mom back to the hotel” he replied. “I don’t think you should disturb her she’s all right I just checked on her” the nurse stated. JD stood there in the door way for a few minutes just staring at them. “If something happens give me a call” JD asked the nurse. “All right” and JD left. The next morning Criss woke up and saw his mother a sleep next to him still holding his hand. “She hasn’t left your side all night” The nurse stated coming in. Criss took his hand out of mother’s and brushed a bit of her hair. Dimitra stirred and lifted her head. “Where am I?” she inquired looking around.

“You’re at the hospital mom you fell asleep here last night” Criss stated smiling. “I must look scary” she remarked fixing her hair. “Mom I’ve seen you worse why don’t you splash some water on your face before the guys show up” Criss suggested. “How about after I go back to the hotel wash up and change my clothes we wash that hair and give you a shave ”Dimitra suggested. Criss smiled as his mother left. "Now I get to see what you really look like under that beard"The nurse remarked.

At the hotel JD was getting some breakfast as his mother walked in. “Good morning JD” she stated. ”Decided to come home” he joked. She grabbed some coffee and a danish. “I’m going to take a shower, change my clothes and go back to the hospital to wash Criss’s hair and give him a shave” she stated smiling. After Dimitra left JD went over to the receptionist to see if he had any messages. She gave him some and JD left. At the hospital Criss was sitting in his room watching the news when he heard a fimilar voice. “You’ll do anything for a sponge bath”a voice called out. Criss turned and saw Sully. Criss laughed as Sully walked in. “It’s so good to see you how did you know I was here?” Criss inquired as Sully gave him a hug. “I came to see you at The Luxor and Banachek told me what happened to you so I thought I’d take a five hour bike ride to see you and bring you this” giving him a magazine about motorcycles.

“Thanks I feel like a zombie watching television I was ready to read the stock market quotes in The New York Times”Criss replied. “Let’s not do that just yet I’m just glad you’re all right I’d be depressed if I lost my blood brothers” he remarked. Criss smiled as Sully pulled up a seat. As they talked Criss saw something on the television and turned it up.

"Today in Las Vegas charges against 28 year old Kurt Blanco were filed in district court. As everyone know Kurt savagely attacked and assaulted 43 year old master magician Christopher Sarantakos aka Criss Angel four weeks ago. There has been no comment from the prosecutor Samaul Trust on if Criss Angel will be called to testify. More on this story as it develops.

Criss sighed as Sully turned off the television. "Come on man the guy is getting what he deserves". "I know it's just that I'm getting sick of it. I just want to get better and get out of here"he stated. "You will man" Sully said. Criss said nothing. Sully got up and went to talk to the nurse as Dimitra and Costa walked off the elevator. "Hey Sully what are you doing here?"Dimitra asked giving him a hug. "I heard about Criss and wanted to see him but he's kind of down right now". "I guess he heard the guy who did this to him got charged with Vehicular Assault in the First Degree and Assault in the First Degree"Costa replied. "Yea but the question on everyone's mind is are they going to call Criss to testify" Sully stated. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it but for now let's not worry about it".

They went in and Criss looked happy to see everyone. "Where's JD?"he asked. "He's coming so while we're waiting for him why don't we get you out of bed and into a nice soft chair so we can do something with that hair before I can use it to change the oil in the car"Costa joked. After the nurse helped Criss into the chair she got some towels for them. "If you need any more blood from him just tell us and we'll nick him somewhere"Sully joked as the nurse snickered as she left. "Please they've taking so much blood from me I may need a blood transfusion soon" as everyone chuckled. Dimitra put the shaving cream on Criss while Costa got some water from the bathroom. "How about later I talk to that nurse about that sponge bath I mentioned" Sully said as Dimitra rolled her eyes. Criss chuckled. After she finished Costa came over. "Now after I finish the wash I'll get the curls and put your hair up in"Costa suggested in a french tone which made Criss chuckle.

"If you do that I'm getting pictures and put them on the internet"Sully remarked. As Costa washed Criss's hair Sully acted like he was doing Criss's nail. "Now Samantha said that she saw Henry out with his girlfriend at the bar last night and they were getting it on like two pigs in mud" he said in his best southern woman accent which made Dimitra laugh so hard she had tears coming down her face. "Now Tama get him under the dryer for two minutes" Costa joked which was making Criss laugh. "All right I'm going to need oxygen if you don't cut it out “Criss said catching his breath. "All right there we go all nice and clean". Dimitra pulled out her mirror and showed Criss. "Maybe you guys should go into business with a wash and shave place “Criss suggested as the nurse came back in. "So that's what you look like all clean I thought you'd like a new Johnny to put on".

"Thank you “Criss stated as the nurse left. "We'll give you some privacy" and Costa and Sully left as Dimitra pulled the curtain back to help Criss. "How are you feeling Christopher?" she asked. "Better I just can't wait to go to Serenity and forget about this “he replied as Dimitra helped him take off the Johnny. "I know you do baby we want you better" as she put the dirty one on the floor. "Mom do you think they'll call me to testify?"he asked as Criss put his arm in. "I don't know Christopher maybe the guy may plead out which I hope he does considering the pain he's put you and the family through"she replied tieing it in the back. "Thanks mom"he stated. "You're welcome" and pulled the curtain back. In the hall Costa and Sully were talking when the elevator opened and JD came out with Dimitra. "Dimi what are you doing here?" giving her a hug. "She came to see her uncle"JD remarked. "Well he's all nice and clean mom's in there with him".

Dimitra came out and saw Dimi. "Dimi how nice to see you how did you get here?" giving him a hug. "I flew her out here she wanted to see Criss"JD replied. "How is Uncle Criss?" she asked. "Right now he's fine so why don't we go in". "Christopher I have a surprise for you". Criss turned as little D came in. Criss beamed as his niece walked in. "Dimi"he said as she gave him a hug. "It's so good to see you Uncle Criss I missed you so much". "I missed you too sweetie just seeing you is making me feel better" Criss replied. "My friends at school made this for you" giving him a card. Criss smiled as he opened a get well card from all her friend at her school. "Dimitra this is wonderful thank you" as tears fell down his face. "Don't cry uncle Criss" she remarked wiping away the tears. "I'm just happy-". All of a sudden Criss put his arm around his stomach. "You all right Uncle Criss". "Get-a-nurse"Criss replied. "Daddy" Dimitra called out. JD came running in with a nurse. "What's wrong?". "I don't know my stomach is killing me all of a sudden" Criss replied. The nurse asked Dimi and JD to go outside for a minute.

In the hall everyone was wondering what was going on as JD and Dimi came out. "What's going on?". "I don't know he was saying that his stomach was hurting and asked for the nurse"Dimi remarked. The nurse came back out and grabbed a phone. They couldn't hear much as the nurse went back in with two ordeals. After a few minutes they brought Criss out and went into an elevator as the nurse came back out. "What's going on?"JD asked. "What's wrong with my uncle" Dimi inquired. "It's seems Christopher has an obstruction in his lower intestine so he going up to surgery to fix the problem" The nurse remarked. "Sully why don't you take Dimi and my mom back to the hotel while Costa and I stay here"JD suggested. "I'd rather stay here JD"Dimitra stated. "Mom why don't you go back to the hotel for me"JD asked. "Just keep us up to date dad"Dimi suggested. "I will baby". He gave his mom and daughter a kiss and Sully brought them back to the hotel

When they got back to the hotel Dimitra asked her granddaughter to get her some water. "Sure" and she left. After she left Dimitra started to cry. You all right Dimitra?"Sully inquired sitting next to her. "I-I-don't know how much I can take of this" she replied. "Dimitra it's going to be all right. Criss is going to have his good days and bad days"Sully assured her. "I know I just want my Christopha back" as Sully gave her a hankie to wipe her tears. Dimitra felt a hand on her shoulder and it was her granddaughter. "It's ok grandma uncle Criss will be back doing his illusions and cracking jokes before you know it"she stated giving her some water. "Thank you my dear" Dimitra replied as her granddaughter gave her a kiss. Back at the hospital JD was pacing while Costa sat. "I swear it's like looking into a mirror with you, Criss and pacing"Costa stated. JD stopped as he looked out the window.

Tears fell down his face as he hoped that Criss would survive this; after everything he had been through: Being set a flame for his mother's seventieth birthday, being cut in half so many times that he lost count, being buried alive not once but twice, and floating in the Luxor Light. "Mr. Sarantakos" a voice called out. JD turned and saw the doctor. "How's our brother?"Costa inquired. "He's all right for now. We're going to let him wake up and bring him back to his room" The doctor replied and left. "So far so good"JD muttered as he sat down. When they got back to the hotel Sully was reading the paper. "Hey Sully thanks for taking Dimi and mom back here" JD said. "No problem but your mom's getting frazzled I think you should send her home before she ends up sharing a room with Criss"Sully suggested. "Mom wouldn't do that if something happened to Criss and she wasn't there mom wouldn't forgive herself" Costa replied. "Yea I think my mom maybe the same way if I was in Criss's shoe"Sully remarked. "Why don't we all go get some sleep" JD suggested and they left.

Late that night Sully went back to the hospital just to ease his fears about his friend. When he went to his room he could hear Criss throwing up. "This is the worst reaction to anesthesia I've had" Criss remarked wiping his mouth. "Don't worry once the anesthesia is out of your system you'll feel better" the nurse stated flushing the toilet. The nurse left the bucket and walked out as Sully came in. "How you feeling?" Sully inquired pulling up a chair. "Sore and nauseas" Criss replied. "You gave your mom quite a scare today"he stated. "I've been doing that since I started doing magic" Criss joked. "I even suggested to your brothers that your mother go back before she ends up on the cardiac floor here"Sully remarked. "I know but my mom wouldn't forgive herself if god forbid I ended up with my father"Criss stated. "Yea I think every mother thinks that way when one of their kids are in the hospital"Sully replied. After an hour of them talking Sully let Criss get some sleep and left.

The next morning when JD showed up he heard laughing from Criss's room. When he came in Dimi was there painting something on his cast. "What do you think uncle Criss?". Criss lifted his leg and saw it was a snake which made Criss chuckle. "If you look Uncle Criss it has your insignia on it" which Criss saw. "Thank Dimi you've made my day maybe later you can paint my toe nails". "Right after they're cut I'll see if they have a sander I can borrow" she joked which made Criss laugh. "Don't make him laugh too hard he may bust a stitch" JD stated coming in "Daddy how long have you been here?" surprised to see him. "Not long how did you get here?". "Sully dropped her off before he left" Criss replied. "Are you upset at me?"Dimi asked her father but JD smiled. "No but if your grandmother asked you came with me" JD stated which made Dimi and Criss chuckle.

"Now that's what I like to hear coming from a room". Coming in is Criss's doctor. "So doc when can I finally leave before I start paying the hospital rent"Criss joked. "I'm not sure yet that obstruction caught us off guard" the doctor replied. "You and me both"JD muttered. After the doctor finished talking JD asked if he could talk to him outside. "So doc do you think we could probably transfer him to a hospital maybe in Las Vegas"JD suggested. "I was thinking that with Criss's injuries he may have to go to a rehab facility before he goes home but there's nothing set in stone yet"the doctor stated. "Thanks" and the doctor left as Costa came out of the elevator. "Was that Criss's doctor?". "Yea he's saying that Criss may have to go to a rehab facility". Costa sighed as they went in. As the guys went in a man who looked like he was ready for a board meeting came out. "Excuse me I'm looking for Christopher Sarantakos's room"he asked a nurse.

"Room 302" she replied. In the room JD was discussing the rehab hospital to Criss. "Why do I need rehab I'm not on drugs"Criss replied as everyone tried not to laugh at the comment. "I think we should get you outside and air out your brain he mean a rehab hospital to help you get some strength back in your legs you nut ball" JD replied as Criss chuckled. A knock came to the door. "Good morning I'm sorry to disturb this". "No problem who may I say you are?"Costa inquired. "Sorry my name is Samual Trust I'm prosecuting the man who assaulted your brother". "I thought he was declared incompented because he's mentally not all there"JD stated. "Before we get into it JD why don't you take Dimi somewhere this isn't something she should hear"Criss suggested. "Dimi why don't you go down to the cafeteria and get something to eat and I'll call you when you can come back" giving her some money. "All right". She blew a kiss to Criss and left as the lawyer shut the door. "Well the man was declared compented which is a surprise considering everyone said he heard voices" Sam remarked.

"So what will he get if he's found guilty?"Costa inquired. "Fifteen years but we're offering a deal of ten years in a mental institution but they're not biting". "So you want me to testify?". "I would like to but first what do you remember about the incident"he asked. Criss took a breath. "I was riding on my bike and I saw the liquor store. I went in just to look around than the guy came up to me and told me he needed the liquor I had but the owner threw him out"Criss replied. "All right what about the attack". "I remember the wheels of bike running over me-and-and the pain-than I remember him grabbing the steel pipe and hitting me with it than it's a blank"Criss replied breathing a little heavy. "It's all right Criss relax"JD said. "Well I'm going to see if I can get your medical record and use as evidence for the trail". The lawyer shook their hands and left. Criss laid back trying to relax as some of memories from the accident started to come back. "You all right Criss" as Criss started to breath harder and his heart rate started to climb. The nurse ran in as JD and Costa just stood back.

"Come on Criss relax relax your making your heart rate climb" she remarked as she put an oxygen mask on him. The guys went outside. "I think Criss just had a panic attack"Costa stated. "Yea I remember when he had some after Silverton. I guess talking about the accident brought back the memories that were too hard to forget"JD said as the nurse came back out. "He's stabilized but I think he's had enough for right now" "All right thank you" JD stated and they went to get Dimi.

When Criss opened his eyes he was in Believe. Criss couldn't understand what was going on he remembered that he was talking to a lawyer than all of a sudden he couldn't catch his breath and his heart felt like it was about to come out of his chest. What the heck is going on here he thought. "Come on Michael"a voice called out. Two little kids came out and ignored Criss like he wasn't even there. "Michael Harry slow down". A woman came out on stage and walked right through Criss like he wasn't even there. What am I a ghost. "This place is weird are you sure a magician worked in here". "Yes Michael this was built just for him but Unfortunely he had to retire". "I heard he lost his nerve since some guy attacked him" Michael replied. "I heard he's in the loony bin" Harry added. Criss couldn't believe this. "Harry that's no way to talk about someone now come on we have to go back to the house". "You mean the mansion mom that place is huge so many rooms". "Michael I told you Serenity came with this job beside you love that pool and Harry you can't wait to hook up your X-box to that theater size television" she remarked. Criss couldn't understand what was going on.

"Michelle"A voice called out. Walking down the aisle was JD. "JD nice to see you again I was just showing my boys around my new stage". "No problem I wanted to give you the key to Serenity" giving it to her. She jumped off the stage and walked over. "What really happened to your brother is he in a loony bin?". "Michelle there were time where I wanted to send him there but Criss had no choice but to give up magic the injuries he sustained were so bad that some of them didn't heal right and it was just too painfully for him to even walk so he's moving back to New York"JD stated. "Poor guy". "Well I'll see you later" and JD left. "JD DON'T DO THIS!!,"Criss called out but it was like nobody could hear him. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!". Criss woke up as the nurse came in. "Christopher it's all right you were dreaming" as she took off the oxgyen mask.

"It-it felt so real"he replied. "Tell me it". Criss told her the dream and Criss could tell she knew what it meant. "Consider it a premonition it's what your life may end up as if you don't change something"she stated and left. Criss knew he had to stop feeling sorry for himself and get himself in gear for what was coming for him. A few weeks passed and Criss's doctor took off his casts and told him that they wanted him to try walking with a walker. When JD and his mother showed up they saw a nurse was helping Criss . "We can come back". "No we were about to try standing"the nurse remarked. Dimitra sat down as JD just stood. This is going to be fun Criss thought. “Now put yours hand on the walker and use it to push yourself up”. Criss took a breath and pushed up slowly. Criss could feel the pain running up his legs. ":mad:" Criss exclaimed. “I know it hurts Criss but you have to push through it”. Criss sat back down. “Come on Criss I need you to take just one step to me” the therapist remarked. “Give me a second!!”Criss snapped. “Why don’t I give you a minute” and she left the room as JD and his mother walked over to Criss.

“Christopher you didn’t have to so offensive to her” his mother said. “I know it just that it hurts like hell and she just pushing me I couldn’t take it” Criss replied. His mother put her hand on his shoulder. “Christopher this is going to be the hardest part and it’s going to be painful but after everything you’ve done you can do this” his mother stated. “Criss we all know you don’t want to spend the rest of your life in a wheelchair but if you don’t push through the pain that’s where you’re going to end up” JD added.

Criss understood what his brother and mother was saying as the therapist came back in. “So we ready to try again?” she asked. Criss looked at his mother and brother. “All right”. Criss took a breath and got up. :mad: Criss thought as he stood holding on to the walker hoping he wasn’t going to lose his balance or his legs would give out. “Good Christopher do you want to try to take a step", but Criss sat down again. “Ok Criss I’ll give you points on standing for that long you just gather up some strength and we’ll do more later” and the therapist left. “Nice going Criss” JD stated. “Yes Christopher that was good”. “Yea”JD stated. "I've got a goal to walk out of this hospital"Criss told them. "And you're getting there"JD remarked giving Criss a hug.

As time passed Criss was doing good with this therapy he even could even use the bathroom by himself. In his room Criss was sitting in bed but when Costa came in he saw Criss didn't look happy. "I know that look what's wrong?" he asked. "I've been having some pain in my hip area to the point where I can't stand so the doctor took an x-ray and found out that I'm going to need hip replacement surgery". Costa sighed as Criss looked like he was about to cry. "So what does this mean?" Costa asked. Criss shrugged his shoulders than Criss put his hand over his face and started to cry. Costa got up and gave Criss a hug. "It's all right Christopher it's just a pothole on the road to recovery"Costa remarked. Back at the hotel JD was having lunch when Costa came in. "What are you doing here I thought you were seeing Criss" JD stated as Costa sat down.

"Criss has another problem he needs to have hip replacement surgery". JD leaned back. "He was so close to going home mom isn't going to like this". "There's more I think Criss is ready to give up" Costa said. "Seriously". "I'm just getting that vibe"Costa stated. Then JD got an idea. "Costa get George on the phone I've got an idea". A few days Criss was watching the rain fall when JD came in with his computer.

"How are you doing?". Criss said nothing as the rain fell. "All right sour puss". "Hey I'm not a sour puss"Criss said. "Well I have something for you" as he rolled the computer over. Criss took a look and it was a pair of feet. "Hey George time for some new sneakers"JD called out. The camera came up to show George. "Than I need a raise"George replied as Criss chuckled. "So are we ready?". "Yup". George took the camera to the curtain. George walked out and the place was packed with Loyals and they were going crazy with signs that said: GET BETTER CRISS, BELIEVE CRISS BELIEVE, WE MISS YOU ANGEL, DON'T GIVE UP CRISS CAN'T WAIT FOR U 2 COME HOME. Criss couldn't believe it as George went down to the crowd.

"WE MISS YOU CRISS!!"Someone call out. "DON'T GIVE CRISS WE'RE BEHIND YOU"Someone else yelled out. "Wow how did you do this?". "I put an invite on the website for every loyal to come to The Believe Theater to show how much you're missed"JD replied as tears fell down Criss's face. "That's not it there's more. Doug can you hear me". Another camera view popped up and it was Doug at Serenity. "Hey Angel how are you?". "Good what are you doing at my house?"Criss asked. He turned to the pool and saw Dave and his crew sitting there. "We miss you Criss get better soon". "Las Vegas isn't the same with out you Christopher"Mastero called out. Criss wiped the tears away as Doug panned to John with Hammie. He put Hammie infront of his face and in a funny voice goes: I MISS YOU DADDY COME HOME SOON. Criss laughed as a smile appeared on his face. "Thank you I needed a pick up"Criss remarked. "Hope to see you here soon"Dave said as everyone raised their glasses to Criss.

Doug turned the camera to him. "Hope to see you soon man remember you still owe me twenty bucks"Doug stated. Criss laughed as the camera went back to George and all his fans. "Hey George can they hear me?" Criss asked. "Hold on". He put the camera down and hooked it up. "All right Criss you're hooked up to the sound system" George stated. "I want to thank you all. You've lifted my spirit and I promise you I'll be back stronger than I've ever been,"Criss remarked. "Thanks for the pick me up". Then the whole crowd yelled YOU'RE WELCOME as George turned the camera off.

A few weeks after Criss had his surgery the doctor gave Criss some good news and some bad. He was being discharged but he couldn’t go back to work. "Are you serious?"Criss asked. "Don't worry Christopher you'll get back to being Angel again"his mother remarked. Criss said nothing as JD went out to talk to his doctor. When the lawyer came back JD had finished talking to the doctor. "JD nice to see you again"he stated. "Sam right" shaking his hand. "Yes I was wondering how your brother's doing?". "He's being discharged but what do I have the pleasure of your visit" he asked. "Well I've been trying to keep Criss out of this trial but it seems I'm going to need Criss if I want to win" Sam remarked. JD felt ready to slam his head against the wall. "When does the trial begin?". "In two weeks so I'll have to talk to Criss and go over his testimony" Sam stated. "All right let me talk to my brother and I'll get back to you". The lawyer said his good-bye and left as JD came back in. Dimitra was helping Criss into the wheelchair as JD came back in. "What's the matter you look like you're about to scream?" Costa inquired.

"I just talked to the lawyer that's handling the case against the guy who hit Criss it seems they're going to need Criss's testimony to put that guy behind bars". As they drove back Criss couldn't stop but think about seeing his attacker. "You all right back there Christopher?" his mother asked. "Yea are we almost there". "It's another three hours Criss"JD replied. "Why don't you just lay back and try to get some sleep Christopher"His mother suggested "Can we stop somewhere I need to use the men's room" Criss stated. "All right". At a diner a waitress was watching the news as she cleaned up.

The woman shut off the television as JD, Criss, and Dimitra came in. "Where's your bathroom?"JD asked. "Take a right this way" she replied. "Why don't you order something to go while I help Criss mom"JD suggested. As they went to the bathroom Dimitra looked at the menu. "What happened to him?" she asked. "Long story can I have two hamburger medium well and one grilled chicken with mayo, lettuce, and tomato to go". "Sure" and went to get the orders going. After a while Criss came back out and sat down. "You all right Christopher?" Dimitra asked. "Just need one of my pain medicine"Criss replied. "Sure let me go get them from the car" and JD went out to the car as the waitress came out with the orders. "Here you go". "How much?"Criss asked. "They're on the house Angel"she replied smiling. "I didn't think you recognized me"Criss said. "I almost didn't considering but I know your mother anywhere". JD came back in and gave Criss one. "Can I have some water and a piece of bread?"Criss asked.

"Sure". She came back with a glass of water and slice of bread. "Thanks" Criss stated. "I've got to say Criss everyone is pushing for you to come back and that the guy who did to you is put away"the waitress remarked. "Yea"Criss replied chewing the bread. "I'm going to get back cleaning up I hope get better Angel" she said. "Thanks-". "Marty". Criss smiled as she went to the back. "You ready to go?"JD asked. "I'll tell you this I feel like an old man with this walker" Criss stated getting up. "If you want to we can pimp it out with some tennis balls or something" JD joked. "Very funny JD". Dimitra grabbed the sandwiches and they left.

When they finally arrived at the house Costa was there. "I thought you guys got lost" as Criss used his walker to come in. "I need to go to bed"Criss said as he sat down. "Well unfortunely Criss you're not strong enough to go up the stairs so you have to sleep down here until than"Costa replied. "He can't sleep in my room the bed too near the floor"his mother remarked. "How about I sleep outside on one of the patio loungers?" Criss suggested. "And you have an accident and fall into the pool". "Or crack your skull or worse break another bone" Costa added. "What about the couch?"JD suggested. "Can't stretch out"Criss said. "Costa bring in one of the patio loungers for now"JD stated. Costa wheeled it in as JD moved some chairs. Dimitra grabbed a blanket and pillow from her room.

Criss wheeled himself over and sat down carefully. "How's that?". "It's not my bed but it will do"Criss stated. His mother gave him a pillow to put between his legs and put the blanket on him. "For the time being Costa is going to stay here until you're strong enough Christopher"his mother remarked. "Thanks guys what should I do if I need to use the bathroom?" Criss asked. "We know you're not going to like this". Costa wheeled out a portable toilet. "Are you serious?". "Sorry but we'll try to give you as much privacy as you can" JD said. One Step at A Time Criss thought. "Good night my little άγγελος" (angel in Greek) his mother remarked giving him a kiss on the check. Criss closed his eyes as JD dimmed the lights. Around three Dimitra heard a bang and got up. She came out to see Criss trying to get up from the floor. "Christopher are you all right?" she asked. "Get back mom please just get Costa"Criss replied. She woke up Costa and Costa came out. "You all right?"Costa inquired. Criss whispered something in his ear. "Mom can you go upstairs and get another pair of pants for Criss?".

She walked up as Costa got him off the ground. "Thanks I really didn't want to flash mom" as Costa took off his pants. "No problem why didn't you holler for help"Costa asked. "I guess I thought I could do it on my own and I almost did until my pants got caught in the wheels of the walker knocking me down" as he put the blanket across his front. "Mom grab a pair of boxer while you're up there" Costa called out as Criss blushed. After she came down with the clothes and Costa helped him change with his mother in the kitchen Costa helped him down. "For tonight and to ease mom's fear I'll sleep out here". Criss nodded as his mother came back in. "Sorry for scaring you mom"Criss remarked. "Next time just ask for help"she said. "That's why I'm staying out here so we don't have a repeat performance"Costa replied with a pillow and a blanket in his hands. Their mother went back to her room as Costa got comfortable on the couch.

The next morning Costa was helping Criss wash up as his mother made him some breakfast. "Anybody here" a voice called out. Dimitra came out of the kitchen to see Dave walking in. "Good morning David would you like some coffee"she asked as he sat down. "If you don't mind Dimitra where's Criss?". "MOTHER :mad:!!!" could be heard from the bathroom. "I told you to watch it"Criss replied. "That was my foot you ran over Christopher"Costa stated limping out of the bathroom. Criss came out and saw Dave. "Hey Dave" he said. "How you doing?" as Criss sat down slowly. "I feel like I'm ready file for social security" Criss remarked. "Once you start physical therapy Christopher you'll feel better"his mother stated. "I talked to JD he told me you have to testify at the trial".

"Don't remind me I've been trying to put that behind me but it keeps popping back up"Criss remarked rubbing his forehead. Then a knock came to the door and Dimitra went to get it. "Criss everything we will be all right just you wait" Dave stated. "I hope so I just want to get back living my life"Criss remarked. "Christopher someone's here to see you". Criss got up wishing for body to stop aching as he used his walker. He got to the door where John and Doug were. "Hey Criss just wanted to see you up and about somewhat"John stated. "I'm just happy to be out"Criss replied as his friends gave him a hug. "That's good the crew is happy as clams that you survived your injuries" Doug said. "Now I just got to get some strength back in my body"Criss stated. Dimitra looked and saw Criss's arms were shaking. Christopher sit down before you fall and hurt yourself"his mother suggested. "We have to go anyway see yea soon Criss"John said. "Get better man" and they left At the Sam's office he was going over some of the papers he had when his boss came in. "You'll love this Kurt Blanco has been put into solitary confinement". "Why some of Criss Angel's fan want him died"he joked.

"No there's a gang in jail that believe or not are fans of the magician and want Kurt to pay for what he did to Angel"his boss replied. "You'll love this I was looking at a blog of one of Criss's fans and I quote Kent Blanco should be in jail for the rest of his life for what he did to Criss Angel. Criss did nothing to this man and Kurt decides to go crazy nearly killing Christopher. If I ever met Kent me and few other Loyals would chop him up and scatter the remains in the desert for all animals to feed on". "Way to put it nicely"his boss remarked. A few days went by and Criss started physical therapy it was hard at time but Criss's can do attitude helped him push through the pain he felt. One day Criss was sitting outside just enjoying the day when Hammie jumped up into his lap. "Hey buddy did you have a fun time exploring" he asked. As Criss patted Hammie he felt something embedded in his fur. Criss took it out as his mother came out with a drink. "What's that Christopher?" she asked. "It's a butterfly cocoon it looks like the butterfly hasn't come out yet"Criss replied showing his mother. "I have to say Christopher when this whole ordeal is done you'll be like that butterfly coming out of its cocoon to fly away"his mother stated. Criss smiled at what his mother said. "Yea right now I'm in a cocoon but when I'm better and on that stage doing Believe I'll be breaking out of the cocoon"Criss stated. "Exactly" giving Criss a kiss. After Criss and his mom were finished talking JD came in with a box full of letters.

"What is that?"Criss asked. "Letters from all of your fans" as Criss looked at some of them. "And this is just half of them I've sent enough flowers to hospitals and retirement homes to start my own flower business"JD added. "Costa's allergies must be going nuts right now"Criss stated as JD sat down. Then Costa came in sneezing. "Bless you Costa"his mother remarked. "Thanks mom"he replied with a stuffy nose. "Allergies getting to you Costa"Criss joked. "Very f-f-achoo-unny"Costa stated wiping his nose. "Costa go home, take a shower and change your clothes" Criss suggested. Costa gave his mom a kiss and left. As Costa opened a door a lady was standing there ready to knock on the door. "Do I have the wrong address I'm looking for Christopher Sarantokas"she inquired looking at a piece of paper. "You have the right address I'm his brother come on in" and she did as Criss used his walker to come in. "You must be Harriett my physical therapist said you might stop by".

She smiled as she went outside with Criss and his mother. "She's hot"Costa stated. "Down boy down"JD said as they left. Outside JD and Costa were getting into their cars when another car pulled up. JD saw it was the lawyer. "Well I came at a good time"he stated. "So how's the case going?"JD asked. "Good but it seems I'm going to need Criss to testify to what happened" Sam replied.

"So they decided to do water therapy?". "Yea they thought it might be easier on my hip and pelvis. Now what's wrong with you guys you look like you've come from a funeral"Criss replied. "We ran into that lawyer and he told us that you have to testify at the trial" Costa remarked. Criss got up grabbed his walker and started outside until one of the wheels caught on a cracked tile. Criss fell. "Mother :mad:!!"Criss declared. "Let me help you Criss"JD stated coming over but Criss pushed him back. "I can :mad: do this JD back off"Criss replied. "Come on Criss let him help you"Costa stated. "NO I'm not a :mad: baby!!".

Criss got up and went outside. "What was that about?". "Just leave him alone for a while" Dimitra replied. After dinner Dimitra asked the boys to go somewhere so she could talk to Criss by herself. "Let's go get a drink" and they left. Outside Criss was just swinging back and forth in his hammock as Dimitra came out. "You all right Christopher?". "Honestly I don't feel like myself"he admitted. "What do you mean?". "My mind and soul are here but my body isn't. I thought that I could finally put this :mad:thing behind me but now I have to relive it and I don't want to"Criss admitted wiping some tears away.

"Christopher I know you don't want to but if you don't the man who did this to you may get away with this" she stated. "I know but I-I-just not ready to remember the pain or being on the verge of leaving you, Costa, and everyone I know". Dimitra wiped the tears away from her child. "It's going to be all right we're going to be there for you" she said. Criss smiled at his mother. "Thanks mom". She kissed Criss's forehead. "I'll leave you alone just give me a holler if you need help" she stated and went inside.

That night after everyone went to bed Criss couldn't go to sleep fearing his nightmares may come back to haunt him. Criss just stared at the star light sky a few feet from where he slept. It was muggy night so Dimitra left the door to the pool open a little to let some fresh air in and make sure no outside animals came in. Criss really didn't want to testify at this trial or see the guy who did this to him. Criss sighed and closed his eyes. "Christopher time to wake up". Criss opened his eyes and saw his mother waking him. "Hey mom what's going on" when he saw it was seven in the morning. "We have visitors coming over why don't you let Costa help you get ready" his mother remarked. "Sure yo Cost!!"Criss called out. Costa came down the stairs and helped Criss into the bathroom. "Just don't run over my foot again I'm just starting to get the feeling back"Costa remarked as they left. Dimitra chuckled.

After Criss got washed up and dressed the door bell rang. "Sit down Christopher before you fall again". Criss hated being ordered around but he did what his mother told him. The door opened and three people came in who Criss didn't know. "Please sit down you remember my son Christopher" she remarked. "He looks better than the last time we saw him" a woman stated. One of the guys noticed the look on Criss's face. "You don't remember us well considering how we met I won't take it as an insult,"the man stated. "I'm Jackson Prayer, this is Jenny Lundi and my baggier Jason McMahon. We were all there when Kurt went nuts on you". Criss's jaw fell to the floor. "All of you helped me"Criss remarked. "Yes we all witnessed what Kurt did to you"Jackson stated. "Honestly we almost thought you were going to die on your way to the hospital"Jenny replied. "We found out a few days after the accident that you survived". "Sometimes I don't feel that way"Criss admitted. "Christopher you can't let what happen get you down. you're going to be the same person you were before". "But now I have to relive this mess in a few days because they want me to testify and I don't want to"Criss replied. Jenny sat next to Criss.

"Criss we all had to testify to what happened that day. There were times when I wanted to hurt Kurt just the way he hurt you"Jenny remarked. "We all wanted revenge but I think if Kurt is found guilty of his crimes this will be the pay back for what you're going through right now"Jason added. Criss started to smiled which Dimitra hadn't seen in a few days. "Thanks this has been a real kick in the pants and I want to thank you for what you all did that day"Criss replied. "Criss just seeing you here breathing and talking is the best thank you ever"Jackson said. "I promise this to all of you when I'm back on that stage at The Luxor I want you guys to be my guests for my first show back"Criss swore to them. "We'll be in the front row cheering you on Chris" Jackson said. After talking to them for a while Criss said his good-byes and thanked them again.

Since the meeting with the people who helped keep him alive Criss started to feel like himself: mind body and spirit little by little. At the house Dimitra and JD had come back from shopping. They came in and saw Criss doing some exercises on the floor. "How about after that you do a one arm push up"JD suggested. Criss faked laughed as Costa came down the stairs. "Did you find it Costa?". "Yea"he replied. "What did you find Costa?" Dimitra inquired. "Well I got some good news the walker is now gone I've upgraded to a cane"Criss replied. "That's wonderful Christopher" Dimitra exclaimed giving her son a kiss. "And when the therapist comes back we're going to try going upstairs one by one"Criss added. "That's good Criss"JD stated patting him on the back. A knock came to the door and Costa got it as JD helped Criss up. "Thanks I still need help getting up off the floor" Criss whispered. "Christopher you look good". Criss turned around and saw Felix. Criss gave Felix a hug. "It's good to see you Felix"Criss remarked as they sat down.

"Your family has been keeping me updated on your progress and I'm glad that you're improving day by day"Felix stated. "I just got upgraded from walker to cane so I'm getting there"Criss replied smiling. "That's good The Luxor isn't the same with out you around but everyone is pushing you to come back". They talked for a while until Felix had to get back to The Luxor. He gave Criss one more hug and left. "That was nice for Felix to stop by" Dimitra remarked. "Yea"Criss said. "What's wrong Criss?"JD inquired. "I'm apprehensive if I can do Believe again or will I have to close it"Criss stated. "Don't worry about that Christopher until you have to" Dimitra replied. That afternoon Criss was in the pool doing laps while Costa was reading the paper outside when a knock came to the back door. "Criss slow down you're not swimming the English channel" Costa remarked. Costa opened the door and saw it was Sam.

"Mr. Trust nice to see you" as he came in. "I just wanted to talk to Criss for a minute"he said. "Come on" and they went to the pool where Criss was sitting catching his breath. "Christopher you look a bit winded". "Well I just doing some laps Costa can you help me" Criss inquired. Costa rolled up his pants and helped Criss out of the pool. Costa gave him his cane and put a towel over him. "Thanks bro" as Criss went over to one of the chairs. "I see they upgraded you to a cane instead of the walker". "I'm getting there so what can I do for you" Criss asked. "Well it seems you're up on the witness stand tomorrow now I know we've gone over your testimony a hundred times". "Try a thousand but I'm ready"Criss replied. "Well let's good I'll see you tomorrow" and the lawyer left. After he left memories started hitting Criss like lightning bolt. He needs to pay for what he did and the pain he felt when that steel pipe hit his ribs like a baseball player trying to hit a home run. Costa turned to Criss and saw Criss was breathing heavily. “Criss relax” but his breathing got heavier to the point where Criss started sweating. “Criss relax you’re hyperventilating”.

“I-feel like I’m ha-a-a-ving a hea-a-a-art attack”Criss replied. “Criss you’re all right you’re having a panic attack”. Costa went inside and grabbed a paper bag. “Here breath into this” giving Criss the bag. As he did that Dimitra and JD came in. “What’s going on?” as Criss started to relax. “Just take it easy Criss I’ll be right back,” and went into the kitchen. “Criss had another panic attack” Costa stated. “God ever since they’ve been preparing him for the trail he’s been having them more and more”Dimitra remarked. “Guys I really think we should talk to Mr. Trust about having Criss testify he may a panic attack while on the stand” Costa suggested. JD looked at Criss still holding the paper bag in his hand and went outside. “You all right?” he asked. “Yea god I hated these panic attacks I should be use to them” Criss joked. “Criss we’ve been talking and we think you shouldn’t testify tomorrow”. “I want to testify I want to face this guy like I did with Silverton” Criss remarked.

“We know that but we’re afraid that it’s going to be too much and you may have an attack in the court room”JD suggested as Costa and their mother came in. Criss didn’t know what to say he knew that they had their hearts in the right place but he wanted to face Kurt even it meant having a panic attack in front of everyone."I know you guys mean well but I don't care if I do have a panic attack I need to do this". "Why Christopher?" Dimitra asked. "I need to face this guy face to face. Ever since the accident he's been in my dreams. Remember when I almost drowned at Silverton and you brought me up because you knew something was wrong. That's the way I feel sometimes that Kurt is holding me down and I need to face him to get that feeling back I had when I did Silverton the second time"Criss replied. "Are you sure Criss?"Costa asked. Criss nodded. "All right Criss we'll be there for you". "Thanks" he replied. The next day Criss was washing up and when he came back out Dimitra was coming down with a suit. "Here you go Christopher" she remarked. "Thanks mom" giving her a kiss. As Criss was changing Dimitra went over to a jar that held the butterfly cocoon than she noticed that the case was breaking a little. "CHRISTOPHER!!"she called out.

Criss came in with his shirt half buttoned. "What mom". "Look the cocoon is breaking"she replied. Criss watched as a butterfly came out of the cocoon. "Wow!!"Criss remarked as the butterfly stretched out its wings. "Look at the colors it's like looking at a painting". Criss just smiled. The door opened and Costa and JD came in. "What are you looking at?". "The butterfly emerged" as they took a look. "Wow that's amazing". After they looked at it Criss finished getting ready and they left.

As they drove to the court house Criss just stared out the window. "You all right Criss?"JD asked. "Yea"Criss replied. JD put his hand on Criss's shoulder which made Criss smile. At the courthouse reporters and the news were everywhere. "Wow I've never seen this many reporters and news crews here" Mr. Trust said. "What do expect nobody has seen Criss Angel since his accident this will be his first public appearance". When they got to there Criss couldn't believe all of the news crew. "Let's go find another way in"JD suggested. "No I want to go in this way JD"Criss remarked. "All right". When the car pulled up and Criss got out the place went crazy. "Criss how are you feeling?"a reporter asked. "Better than six months ago"Criss replied. "Are you ready to face the man who almost killed you"another reporter replied as Criss got up to the top. "Let me say this I have no clue why Mr. Blanco did this to me but I hope he gets what he deserves" and Criss went in.

Back at The Luxor Criss's crew were watching a channel that was broadcasting the trial. Inside Criss and his family sat down. Criss just sat there until they brought in Kurt and Criss started to remember what Kurt did to him. Dimitra noticed the look On Criss's face so she took Criss's hand. Criss looked at his mom and started to feel better. "Call your next witness Mr. Trust" the judge stated. "I call Christopher Sarantakos". Criss got up and walked to the stand. "Criss looks good"Doug said. Criss sat down and they swore him in. Remember Angel don't panic he can't hurt you here Criss said to himself as Mr. Trust started. "Christopher tell the court what happened that day". "I was just out for a ride and I saw this Liquor store so I decided to go in as I looked around Kurt came up to me and told him he needed the alcohol I had in my hand". "I guess you didn't give to him".

"No but when I came outside Kurt tried to grabbed it from me and the bottle broke all over the ground"Criss replied. "Now after that what did Kurt do?". "He-he hit me knocking me to the ground than-". "Take your time Christopher I know this is hard to remember". Criss took some deep breaths. "He got onto my bike and ran over my legs and my pelvis" Criss replied. Everyone started to whisper as Mr. Trust showed the x-rays of Criss's legs and pelvis to the juror. "Now what do you remember after that?". "Dragging myself anywhere I ended up against a car trying to fight the pain I was in but Kurt wasn't done. Kurt took a steel pipe and hit me so hard that all my ribs broke than everything went black. The next thing I remember is being in a hospital with iron rods popping out of my leg and being in a diaper thing" Criss replied.

"Thank you Criss". "Now Criss did you do anything to my client to provoke him in any way?". "No" he replied. "He's lieing!!!"Kurt called out. "Ms. Garret control your client" the judge replied. "He must pay". Then Kurt got up and ran towards Criss until the court officers slammed him to the ground. "Take Mr. Blanco out of the court". As they took Kurt out he kept saying: he needs to pay he needs to pay.

A few days had passed since the trial and Criss was outside at Serenity as JD came over. As he put his hand on Criss's shoulder Criss turned around and pointed a gun right in front of JD’s face. "Criss relax it's just me" putting up his hands. Criss put the gun back into his pocket. "Sorry I thought you were Kurt or someone"he replied. "Criss what is up with you lately. I saw you sell some of your motorcycles to a couple of people, You haven't left this house since the trial and now you have a gun" JD remarked. "It's just for protection excuse me" and Criss went to his office. At the production office JD told Costa what happened. "Are you serious Criss pulled a gun on you"Costa stated. "Yea and I betch you it isn't legal Costa I think Criss might have PTSD"JD replied. "Me too but what can we do you know Criss won't admit it" Costa stated. “There’s only one person that can get through to Criss and that’s mom” JD remarked. At the house Criss was looking outside when he heard the door open.

He grabbed the gun and walked quietly to the forway. He was about to point it when he saw it was his mom. Criss hid the gun and went to greet his mom. “Hey mom how was lunch with Lynn” giving her a hug. “Good but I came to talk to you alone Christopher”. They sat down at the table. “What do you want to talk about?” he inquired. “Christopher ever since the trial you’ve changed and it isn’t good,”. Criss rolled his eyes. “Christopher you were always an outdoor child your father had to drag you in the house at night but now you just stay in the house and the back yard; and you’ve sold a couple of your motorcycles. Now I hear you have a gun,”. Criss said nothing. "Christopher your brothers and I think you could be suffering from PTSD”. Tears fell down his face. “I think you’re right mom I’ve been having those nightmares again and when I tried to leave the house I can't breath and every time I look at a motorcycle I keep seeing Kurt on it and the pain I felt when he ran me over” Criss replied as the tears fell down his face. Dimitra walked over to her son and wiped the tears away.

“Now that the physical part of the attack are fixed It’s time to repair the mental parts but first give me the gun”. Criss got up and got the gun. He took the magazine and the bullet that was the chamber out and gave the gun to his mother which she put on the table. “I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I’m scared”Criss stated wiping the tears away. Dimitra gave Criss a hug and told him she wasn’t going to let him fight this alone.

A few days passed and Criss started to see a psychiatrist for his PTSD and even went to a support group. At the house Costa was cleaning a few things up as his mother came in. "So has Christopher come back yet?". "Nope but I think he's getting better he sat on one of his motorcycle for a little while"he replied. "Well at least he stepped out of the house"Dimitra stated. "Yea I couldn't see Criss as an agorphobic"Costa remarked. The door opened and Criss walked in. "So how was therapy?"she asked. "Good she's really helping me with what happened and what it's done to me mentally" Criss replied. "A guy named Trace called he said that the support group will be here at seven". "All right" and Criss started to go upstairs to change as Dimitra followed him. "Why did you invite the support group to the house?" she asked.

"They don't have a lot of money to rent a place so to make it easier for some of the guys they have it at their house and it's my turn"Criss said. Around six Criss was putting some water in the frig when a knock came to the door. "Mom can you get that for me?"Criss called out. Dimitra went to the door and a man who was six feet and big enough to play for a football team was standing there. "Hello I'm here for the PTSD meeting". "Please come in I'm Dimitra Christopher's mother" as they shook hands."Hey Ralph I see you met my mom"Criss stated. "Just as you described her Criss right down to her smile" as Dimitra blushed. "I have some water in the frig chilling and some soda also I've locked the liquor cabinet"Criss stated. "Very smart Christopher I just hope Chad's wheelchair can fit through the door". "If not we bring him around back I could fit a mac truck through my back door"Criss joked. "Very funny how about taking me on a tour before the group shows up"Ralph asked. "Sure we'll start in the entertainment center".

After a few minutes the door bell rang and Dimitra got it. A woman and a guy were standing there. "You must be apart of the group please come in". "Criss wasn't kidding about having the room"she stated in aww. "Dam I may need a map just to find the bathroom"he said. "Christopher more people are here"she called out. Criss and Ralph came down. "I think when football season starts up I'm coming here". "Amir Dinga I see you made it and met my mom"Criss stated. "Don't tell me your mom works for you"he stated. "No she's been my lifeline through my journey so to speak" Criss replied. "Christopher you're going to make me blush again". "Mom it's almost seven you're going to miss the movie with Dimi and JD"Criss reminded her. "Thank you Christopher I nearly forgot". She grabbed her purse as Criss got the door. "Hope you have a good night Mrs. D"Ralph stated. Dimitra waved good-bye and left. "Mrs. D what are we Happy Days"Armi said as Criss snickered

As they waited for one more person Criss and the group went outside. "So did everyone do their homework?" Armi asked. "Yea I sat on one of my bikes for thirty seconds before I started to feel a little tightness in my chest"Criss replied. "Armi and I put our feet in the water and went up to about our ankles"Dinga remarked. "What about you Ralph I know that your PTSD started with the war so how did you face a little of your fear?"Criss asked. "Since I got back I kept hearing people screaming and guns firing so I decided to go to a firing range and held a gun like the one I used overseas for a while than my friend took me home". "Not bad". The door bell rang and Criss got it. At the door was Chad and Trace. "I see you found the place". "Not a bad house Christopher need a roommate?" as Criss snickered. "Believe me Trace you're not the first person to ask that come on everyone's here". Everyone came in and sat down in a circle. "Now today we're going to talk about support and Criss tell me about your support system".

"Well my mother who some of you met has been by my side since this happened to me. They were times where my brothers thought it was too much and they told her to go home but my mother wouldn't she'd never forgive herself if I died and she wasn't there for me"Criss remarked wiping a tear away. "My mom's the same way a couple of days before my car accident she kept telling me she was going on a cruise and she can't wait. When I finally came out of my coma the first thing I saw was my mom with tears falling down her face. She told me that when she heard about the accident she forgot about the cruise and got on a plane to be there for me"Chad stated wiping the tears away. When Dimitra came back Criss was cleaning up. "I guess the meeting went good".

"Got four offers for roommates if I need them"Criss joked. Dimitra chuckled as she hung up her coat. "Mom I was thinking have I ever told you what a rock you've been toward me helping me". "Christopher you have just by the way you are right now than you were when I saw you in that hospital room"she remarked. Criss walked over to his mom and gave her a hug. "Thanks mom". A few weeks went by and Criss was going over a few things in his office. He looked at his computer where it said: COURT DECLARES MISTRIAL IN CASE AGAINST KURT BLANCO. Criss turned off the computer and left his office. Criss felt sick to his stomach that the guy who almost killed him had played the courts enough that they declared a mistrial. Criss grabbed his keys to his car and drove until he ended up at Holy Trinity a church that his mother would come to when she was in town. Criss got out and walked in. The place reminded him of an old church in Mexico he saw. Glass stained windows with the names and pictures of the saints pews to the left and right to him. Criss looked up at the altar and stood there. "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME,?" Criss called out. "ARE YOU PUNISHING ME FOR WHAT I DONE TO MY FAMILY. WHY ARE YOU PUTTING ME THROUGH THIS I WANT TO KNOW".

Nothing could be heard expect Criss's echo. Criss fell to his knees and started to cry. "I just want this nightmare to be over" he stated through his tears With out warning the sky became dark making the church dark as well. Criss got up as he heard rain and thunder, then the lightning flashing through the stain glass windows. Criss saw a silhouette. The person came out and saw it was Father Mykolos. "Christopher I thought that was your car out there" shaking the rain from his coat. "Father Mykolos I thought you retired"Criss remarked wiping the tears away. "I did but I couldn't stay away what are you doing here?" as he lite some candles. "I'm just upset about what's going on with my life" he replied sitting down. "Your mother told me about your accident and what you went through both physical and mentally" sitting next to Criss.

"Well the guy was granted a mistrial now I have to relive my nightmare all over again. I just want to know why this is happening to me I feel like god wasn't there for me". "Christopher he has been there in the forms of your family, the people who saved you that day, the doctors who kept you alive, and therapist who helped you to walk and deal with the mental scars it left"Father Mykolos stated. "It just feels like when I get close to the finish line I get pulled back"Criss said. "Christopher it will get better you just have to believe that you can get to that finish line". "Thanks father" and Criss gave him a hug. Light started to fill the church. "I hate those thunder storms that come out of nowhere" Father Mykolos replied. Criss said nothing as he got up. "I should get back before my mother starts to worry about me" and Criss started to leave. "Christopher!". Criss turned around and looked at the father. "I hope you find the time to come back to us".

Criss smiled as he went back home. When Criss got home he saw his mother sitting on the couch wiping away tears. "Mom what's the matter why the tears?". "I just got a call from your Aunt Stella they found Father Mykolos dead they're saying he had a heart attack in his sleep" she replied. Criss gave his mother a hug while in the back of his mind he thought of what happened at Holy Trinity.

That night Criss was looking out at the stars as JD walked in. "Hey star gazer"he stated pulling up a seat. "Hey JD where's mom?". "Having a girl's night out with Lynn and Dimi so have you hear if they're going to retry Kurt yet?" JD inquired. "Nothing yet but I did get some news from my doctors in a week I can go back to work"Criss replied with a smile on his face. "Congratulation mom is going to flip out when she finds out". "I can't wait to tell her or the crew"Criss remarked. "Well I should go to The Luxor and tell Felix to get the cleaning crew into the production office. It's been closed for so long it will probably look like something out of a horror movie with dust a layer thick and spider webs hanging from the ceiling"JD joked as Criss chuckled. The phone rang and JD picked it up. "Hello". "May I speak to Christopher?". "Hold on" and JD gave it to him. "This is Criss?". "Christopher it's Sam Trust".

"Nice to hear from you again"Criss remarked. "I have some good news for you it seems Kurt's lawyer has decided to take a plea agreement fifteen year in a mental hospital". "Seriously". "Yes Criss you can finally get rid of Kurt and forget what he did". "Well thanks for the good news"Criss replied and hung up. "What was that about?"JD asked. "I don't have to testify again Kurt took a plea agreement fifteen years in a mental hospital". JD gave Criss a hug. It's over it's finally over echoed in Criss's head. At a restaurant the ladies were having dinner when Lynn turned her head to a bar's television and saw a picture of Criss. "Can you turn that up please?"she called out.

KURT BLANCO HAS TAKING A PLEA AGREEMENT OF FIFTEEN YEARS FOR ASSAULT. YOU MIGHT REMEMBER KURT BLANCO WAS ON TRAIL FOR ASSAULTING CHRISTOPHER SARANTAKOS AKA CRISS ANGEL. NO COMMENT IF CRISS WILL BE GOING TO THE SENTENCING.

Dimi, Lynn, and Dimitra all smiled. "Drinks on the house!!"the bartender yelled. The crowd cheered with delight. After dinner Dimitra went home but when she got there Criss wasn't there. "Christopher!!"she called out. All of a sudden she heard a motor outside so Dimitra went outside and pulling up on a motorcycle was Criss. Dimitra just smiled as Criss turned off the bike and took off his helmet. "Christopher I can't believe it you took out one of your bikes" as tears of joy fell down her face. "I thought it was time to finally put my fear into submission and I got to say it felt great to be on a bike again" smiling. Dimitra walked over and gave her son a hug.

As the months passed Criss started to feel like his life was returning to semi normal. His show Believe getting ready to reopen, The Mind freak production office was busy as it was before his accident, and he felt like himself sometimes but Criss joked that if his hip ached it was going to rain which made everyone including his mother laugh. At his house Criss was thinking as JD came in. "Anyone home". "In the kitchen"Criss called out. He came in as Criss was sitting there in a daze. "What's up?". "I was thinking that everything is coming back together expect for one thing. Why Kurt said I needed to pay. For what". "This is going to nag you isn't it"JD said. "I need to go see him and ask him". "Criss the guy is a psycho he almost killed you and you spent nearly a year getting back to the person I'm staring minus the metal inside you". "I know but I have to know it's like when Aunt Stella first showed that card trick and I would bug her to teach me how to do it. That's what I feel like it's that trick that I need to know how to do but nobody knows expect him"Criss replied. "Do you know where this mental facility is exactly". "That's the problem part of the plea agreement was that the place was private so not even the press knows where it is and Mr. Trust won't tell me".

"I guess it's going to be unsolved. Now come on the crew is waiting for you". When they got to the warehouse a woman who looked like a biker was waiting for them. "Can I help you with something?"JD asked. "I'm looking for Criss Angel". "You found him how can I help you?"Criss stated coming out of the car. She walked up to Criss. "My name's Crystal I'm Kurt Blanco's sister". "If you're here to apologize for you crazy-". "Believe me he deserve where he is but I feel like it's a bit of my fault". "What do you mean Crystal?"Criss inquired as they sat down. "The day of your attack I went to talk to Kurt. I told him that my boyfriend abused me. Kurt kept saying he needs to pay for what he did". "I'm confused"JD stated. "My boyfriend has the same build, hair, and the same motorcycle as Criss. The day he attacked Criss his disease made him think you were my boyfriend"Crystal remarked. "So in his mind he was attacking your boyfriend not me". "Yea I hope this answer any questions you had" Crystal remarked. "Yea it does thanks". Crystal said her good-byes and left. That night Criss was at this house alone so he turned on the radio and MARIAH CAREY BUTTERFLY started to play.



When you love someone so deeply they become your life It's easy to succumb to overwhelming fears inside Blindly I imagined I could keep you under glass Now I understand to hold you I must open up my hands And watch you rise

Criss looked around as memories of the pain he went through both mentally and physical. His brothers helping him as he walked around the house with a walker. His mother being there never leaving his side even when it looked like he was going to meet his father.


I can't pretend these tears aren't over flowing steadily
I can't prevent this hurt from almost overtaking me
But I will stand and say goodbye for you'll never be mine
Until you know the way it feels to fly

Criss looked over at the jar that housed the butterfly so Criss walked over to it took the bottle outside. He opened the jar and watched as the butterfly flew off into the sky.


Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun



Criss smiled as the butterfly flew away. When it came time for Believe to reopen the place felt like the first time Criss opened Believe. Criss even saw the people who saved his life standing there. Criss walked over to them and gave them hugs. "We knew you could do it Criss". "With out you guys I'd probably wouldn't be here". They all said thanks as they went to get their seats. In the back as Criss got ready his mother walked in. "You ready Christopher?" she asked as Criss stood up. "Yea but I have to show you something. Criss pulled up his shirt and on his shoulder is a tattoo with a word in Greek: πεταλούδα, "Butterfly interesting" as Criss pulled down his shirt. "It's just what you said mom when I found that butterfly cocoon. I was in that cocoon but now I'm free to spread my wings and fly again. She gave her son a kiss and told him he was ready to spread his wings Criss walked out and the crowd went crazy to see Criss Angel emerge out of his cocoon and back to where he belonged.
